Description

Before you stands a fairly sturdy human with drowish features and skin tones. Though not as dark as most drow his skin is still darker than the average person walking about is. His hair is as dark as a raven, very uncharacteristic of drow origins. His body shape is more akin to the drow seeming somewhat frail but not quite as thin as most. He carries a weapon and shield, but does not seem to put much stock in them by the way he carries them. He has a look of deep concentration about him and he is garbed in dark earth tones. His eyes are like black opals with irises surrounded by a hint of red. His eyes carry almost a feverish look about them, as if he is overly obsessed with something. As you look closer you see that...

Role

As The Years Go

Added Sun May 25 15:03:27 2008 at level 34:
It has been some years since Diskasii first came out from the Underdark. In
his travels he learned to put a name to the presence that was with him in the
dark. He gives credit to Lord Lyristeon for the power of chaos that flows
within him and has worked to create gaping maws on those he encounters. As
the years have progressed Diskasii has brought surprise to the faces of a
few, and at times has surprised himself by stumbling into unfamiliar places
and unfriendly people. He has grown stronger and more aware of the world
around him with only a hint of the power that could be known. As he makes
his way about the wild lands he has found himself as a part of something
greater, a cause to burn the useless chaff from the lands so that only the
strong survive. Who knows where this will all lead?

*Another two years have passed since that night in Teth Azeleth. The memory
of the kindness of the elf long fading into the background of years of pain
and forced solitude.*

Roaming the caverns of the underdark for two years would take a toll on
anyone. Diskasii can be heard mumbling in his sleep about blue visions and
dark voices, but still can not put a name to the presence. He only knows
that in his years of confinement, that voice was one thing that gave him
strength. He has learned to live on his own, to not need another soul, yet
continue to sense a strange power working within him. He has found that
while being chased through the ever-dark caverns of the underdark he has been
able to blind the eyes of his pursuers with concentration. Through
concentration he has been able to illuminate his prey for hours so that he
could stalk and kill it for the sustenance he needed to survive. It was
while on one of his hunting journeys that his life would change drastically.

Diskasii had just finished tearing the last scraps of meat from the carcass
of a dead lizard when he heard a high-pitched sound of people talking. They
were making far more noise that Diskasii ever would have, but that the sound
of that voice was intriguing to him. It was almost as if he had heard one
similar sometime in his past. As the party came around the bend they did not
notice Diskasii lurking in the shadows, but instead kept walking. They were
far paler than Diskasii himself, but they did remind him in form of the drow
that visited him in his prison of darkness. As the group made their way
along the caverns Diskasii decided he would follow them to see where they
went. The group meandered about the caverns for awhile, but seemed to have a
purpose in mind. After a few more hours of walking Diskasii began to see
lightness up ahead of the party. As they neared the light Diskasii was
intrigued and forgot that he was following other people. He made a noise and
they were about him in a flash. Two of them had swords that burned his skin
but Diskasii called out to the power that was flowing within him. He
afflicted their eyes and bodies and left them writhing in pain, surrounded by
a faint illumination. It was at this time Diskasii noticed something else
had been following him. With a roar the cavefisher jumped from the deep
shadows of the cavern and began to tear at the party of elves. Diskasii,
knowing the ferocity of the fisher quickly made his way from the cavern and
up into the pale light of evening.

Light, there was a light all about him. It was not bright, but there were
thousands of them all over the ceiling above him. Diskasiis mouth draped
open and he stared for hours at the beautiful twinkling of the night sky. He
was finally out of darkness, and the wonders around him began to fill his
eyes. The grass beneath his feet and the trees around him were vibrant in
the dark moonlight. He had never seen such a spectacle and his feet began to
wander far from the cavern he had emerged from. As the hours dragged on the
sparking lights in the ceiling above him began to fade and a bright light was
beginning to emerge in the east. Sharp pain could be felt inside his head as
he tried to keep his eyes open looking at this light, but finally he was
forced to give trying th

*Another eight years have gone by since the death of Diskasiis mother. Alone
in the confines of his dark solitude he has heard the lively voice of some
being speak to him. Confused and alone Diskasii has reached out to this
voice in the dark and has founda presence and power he had never felt
before. The only glimpse of any sort of body to this voice was once scene in
a quick blue flash that danced within his vision as the voice faded one day
from hearing.*

Night is dark within the caverns of Teth Azeleth. The only light that can be
seen comes from the magical faerie fire lamps illuminating portions of the
city streets. The alleyways are completely dark and the slender, pale figure
stays away from them as much as possible while trying to keep to the shadows.
As the figure walks into a somewhat lit spot you notice it is the same elven
woman that serves within the first house of the matron mother. She is moving
as stealthily as possible toward the temple of Teth Azeleth and avoiding the
roving patrols of the city. The elf arrives at the temple and finds that
some ceremony must be taking place as the gates are open but the guards are
not to be found. It has taken her the last five years to quietly find out
enough information to know that someone is being kept in the lower dungeon of
this temple. Knowing full well the result could be her death, she has shared
the bed of many powerful women, and men to find out what she could. She is
not proud of what she has done, but to her, helping the lost boy of that
woman she knew will redeem those faults. It does not take her long to find
the steps down to the bowels of the temple. As she comes around the final
bend she hears breathing and quickly gets close to the wall. She peers
around the corner and notices the guard is asleep. Quickly stepping up
behind he guard she raps him on the back of the head with a piece of wood
nearby and makes sure his slumber will not end soon. The elf quickly finds
the key ring on the guards belt and makes her way to the farthest door. The
door opens slowly and with a loud squeak and she holds her breath listening
for the telltale sign of guards boots on the temple floors. Hearing none
she finishes opening the door and beholds a pitiful sight. In the corner
sits a young boy, somewhat dark like drow are, but having a stronger
appearance more like that of a human male. He is mumbling something about
the color blue for some reason and has a hunted look in his eye. She quickly
grabs him, whispers his name, and asks him to keep quiet of possible. Quiet
is the one thing he is extremely good at. They make their way quickly up the
steps and out into the darkness of night within the cavern. They make their
way from shadow to shadow, having some close calls but getting by the
patrolling guards. As they near the exit to the city into the underdark the
elven woman is horrified to realize they are trapped. The shadow they are in
wont hide them for long once the patrols from both sides get nearer. With a
final look at the boy and a tear in her eye she shoves the pack she made into
his hands and runs off through an alleyway within sight of both patrols.
With an oath the patrols shout after the woman and take off following her. A
shrill cry of pain goes up as they reach

The Truth is Heard

Added Wed Apr 30 19:46:28 2008 at level 7:
*Twenty years have gone by since the events of the birth of Diskasii. His
mother still serves as an exotic servant in the first house of Teth Azeleth.
The mind of the matron mother has begun to grow weaker and her knowledge of
the half-breed son of her line has faded.*

The florescent light of the magically produced torches casts flickering
shadows along the walls of the audience chamber of the first house. The
cornices and friezes near the ceiling are exceptional, and they are
illuminated with magical faerie fire in different hues that bring the art to
life. Along the far wall, out of sight, the exotic servants of the matron
mother kneel waiting to perform whatever task she or her guests desire. In
the middle of the row is one of the most beautiful human woman you have ever
seen. The look on her face is one of sadness and the other servants are
leery of why that is. The elf kneeling closest to her leans over and quietly
asks her what is wrong. With tears in her eyes the woman tells her today
would have been the twentieth birthday of her son. The elf moves her hand
gently over the other womans and squeezes to let her know she understands.
With that measure of compassion the human woman is able to compose herself
and quietly continue her kneeling without arousing suspicion.

While this exchange has been going on another has been occurring within the
middle of the audience chamber. The High Priestess, the first daughter of
the matron mother, has come to visit her mother. As the first mother pours
over the ledgers of the first houses coffers she noticed a tidy sum of money
given to the purification society. Infuriated at such an expense she grills
her daughter about the need for this and the scene erupts into shouting. The
daughter, having enough of her mothers tirade because of her slipping mind,
blurts out that it wouldnt be so high if they werent paying to keep a
certain twenty year old half-breed hidden away for her upcoming naming day
anniversary. Along the wall a shout can be heard as the beautiful woman in
the middle cries out loudly about her lost boy. The High Priestess, having
heard enough, and raging with anger turns toward the woman and commands her
blood to rot. As the obvious agony overtakes the human woman she falls back
to the ground and grasps the hand of the elven woman next to her. As she
takes her final breath she smiles and says "My boys alive." A tear flows
down the cheek of the elven woman as she gently closes the eyelids of the
beautiful woman.

Purification Society

Provost Der'risnik,

My advisors believe that I should spare your life despite the insolence of
writing to me personally. I will grant the reprieve upon your head as your
request intrigues me. You will keep this secret and only my daughter, The
Esteemed High Priestess of Teth Azeleth, shall know of it. My son, who
recently died from an arrow in the back while scouring the underdark, will
not be a problem. His mistress still pleases me with her exotic beauty, and
so she was beaten in places that would not show. I have heard the feet of a
person can grant much pain, while being hidden from sight most of the time.
I look forward to eating the heart of this boy. Name him Diskasii, for he
will be a great sign of the dark times that will fall upon the cursed
sun-loving elves.

Birth of Prophecy?

Day of the Night, 30th Day of the Month of Magical Lights

The Matron Mother of the First House
First House of Teth Azeleth

Greetings First Mother of Our People,

It is the desire of this lowly male that this letter finds its way to your
hands and that your favor would fall upon its contents. On this day, the Day
of the Night, a half-breed male was born within the cavern walls of Teth
Azeleth. He is the bastard offspring of the Weaponmaster of your house and
one of your human slave girls. I would not write this to you if it was not a
matter of import, as your instructions about the destruction of half-breeds
has been very clear. It has come to my attention that the anniversary of
your seven hundredth naming day will be fast upon us in thirty years. The
High Priestess of the School of Divine worship has alerted me to a ritual
that will take place on that day. She has made it clear that the blood of a
mature half-breed male must be used to properly perform this ritual. It just
so happens that this boy will turn of proper age on exactly the same day as
your naming day. It is with that in mind that I humbly beg your permission
to allow this boy his life, be it ever so short, until your naming day is at
hand.

With your permission we will keep him locked away with limited training and
out of the sight of the public eye. He will be beaten often by the High
Priestess in order to keep him properly subdued and submissive. It is my
hope that his sacrifice upon the altar of our people will bring you years of
prosperity beyond what you have so greatly given us.

Your humble servant,

Kilsina Derrisnik, Provost of the Purification Society
