Description
Beady brown eyes stare out form a face masked by a massive beard. Beneath his
brow, large tufts of brown hair stream down in wiry locks about his broad
shoulders. Only his bulbous nose is clearly visible. His hands are coarse and
calloused. All his bulky digits appear blackened by either soot or dirt.
Although his general appearance can be described as grimy and inconsistent,
there are two features that appear contradictory. His beard is well groomed
compared to his hair and has been braided in a complex weave that hangs in
front his near invisible stubby neck. Each braid has had dull coloured beads
threaded onto it, turning his facial hair into something reminiscent of a
piece of studded mail.

So, being born under the sign of magic might seem atypical, almost
antithetical even, for a dwarf, but here is the magic that rules Donnagal- the
deep earth magics. The magic that the lord of order wielded when he breathed
life into Nordiach. The magic that creates and moves mountains. The magic
that infuses dwarven-kind to be able to handle the solitude of poorly lit mines.
The magic of the forge that converts ore to weapons and armors. It is these
things that run deep within Donnagal's core beliefs, and influence his life.
Donnagal was born to a mining family that mined the deepest of deep veins in
the mountains. His father was known for having a sense that could chase a
hint of adamantite or mithril to rich thick runs. Donnagal showed some ability
along these lines, but nowhere near the legendary status of his father. This
drove a wedge between the two, and on top of that, Donnagal's father felt that
dwarves that had strayed some from the light were still to be admired.
Donnagal was taught by more orthodox dwarves that tending to the land
and being caretakers of the slumbering god cannot be done by those who have
strayed from the lighter paths.
He can be contemptious of others - suffer not a fool are words that he lives
by if not speaks. This can be seen by his ignoring those he considers fools
almost to the point of pretending they don't exist.
Being welcomed amongst the Brigade

This day, my squiring days been completed. The Lady Baerinika elevated me
to the brigade. No muss, no fuss, just welcome to the brigade, and
instructions to understand and carry out my duties. By the name of Nordiach
and the mountains, I shall do so until breath no longer passes my lips.
