Description
Swathed in black from head to toe this feral humans eyes blaze with some
strange inner focus. Under the cowl of his hood his blond hair is matted
and disheveled. His gaunt face looks like that of a ghost and his lips
twitch nervously. He stands at just under six feet in height and his hunched
over stance make him seem even more minute. A sword is strapped to either
waist but other than that no other adornments seem to stand out and bring
otherwise unwanted attention.

The Beginning...

Fear, fear can be an awesome force on the young mind.
Twisting thoughts, bringing out physical terror.
A young man sits bound in a dark room, no windows filter
in light and his eyes grow unfocused as fear courses
through his veins like the lifeblood already present.
All he knows is that one minute he was walking with his
mother the next he was here. How he got here is unknown
to his young growing mind.
Torture...

A silhouetted figure suddenly fills the single
doorway, a low cackle escapes his lips and then it
begins. Blinding agony fills the boys mind. Images
of the life he will now lead as a puppet, a plaything
form in his mind by some mystical force. Then a
resounding clap sounds and the felines back shudders
as the impact of some invisible force slams into his
spine and ribcage. Crying out in anguish the boy
cries fiercely. A small voice echos in his mind telling
him that such screams will only bring on more pain. The
boy quiets himself, unable to move at all and whimpers
under his breath as he prepares to try and endure this
seemless endless suffering.
As time elapses...

Years later....
Drevin sits in the same room, screaming out
as blows rain from the heavens to scathe his body.
There is an odd tinge to these screams though, almost
as if he were enjoying the beating at the hands of his
master. His skin has been burned in many places
and shows many signs of burns that will never
truly heal. Finally the beating stops, the master
growing frustrated with his broken-willed pet. Unable
to truly see fear in the
boys eyes any longer, now he only sees
insanity. It would seem after almost a decade of
constant abuse his spirit has been broken and then
reforged in some twisted design. The man
now looks forward to the beatings. His broken mind
never allowed to progress like a normal person he
becomes giddy like a child at the sight of his master
and throws a tantrum when he leaves. "Most curious,"
thinks the Master when suddenly a bolt of inspiration
hits and he laughs maniacally at his new formed scheme.
Drevin begins to laugh with his master, but at what
lies ahead he hasn't the faintest clue.
The test...

Months later...
After months of preparation the Master has finally
begun the process that should allow him to observe his pets
reactions to his new settings. How will the broken minded man
adapt to society, so we shall see.
Drevin is blindfolded then for the first time in ten years
is ushered out of the room of his confinement. A look of
abject horror on his face for he has known nothing else.
He begs like a child for his master to beat him, do anything,
just don't take him from his home.
The next thing Drevin knows is that he is dumped
on a long stretch of road and the wagon pulls away quickly,
leaving him shackled and blind. Suddenly the shackles and
blindfold dissolve away showing him the great outdoors.
Travellers stare at the man curiously as he scoots to the
side of the road and cowers in fear at the huge forbidding
sky, his mind experiencing a visual overload he wails in
fear and anguish for his master. Finally Drevin comes to
the realization that he has been abandoned, betrayed by the
one person who "loved" him. A fiery rage bubbles to the
surface at such a betrayal. His stunted mind unable to
comprehend anything but the loss of the one person he truly
"cared" for. An inhuman growl escapes his throat followed
quickly by a childlike giggle as he gets to his feet and
starts to skip down the road towards his new life in this
brave new world.
