Description
A robed humanoid is here, taking several measures to conceal
himself through magical and less obvious ways. Its' height
would be average for a human or half-race, and it is slight
of build so distinguishing male or female characteristics is
quite hard. A long flowing robe of pristine, luxurious silk
covers most of its' body, shimmering with magical runes
amongst other oddities. Looking even closer through the
glamour, you notice several pieces of glowing armor protecting
numerous vital areas. Several of the pieces seem quite fine
in workmanship and glow faintly with magical power. Attempting
to discern this creature's face leads to a frightening
realization, because you are looking at the face of an unnatural
demon. As you tear your gaze away you notice lastly...
Role
Dronstyrr
Added Wed Jan 13 23:16:05 2010 at level 44:
Born a common son of an even commoner family, Dronstyrr Smithstrom
was born into complacency and mediocrity. Together with his many
brothers and sisters, they would join their parents panhandling through
the various cities of the World. Living like roving nomads, living
day-to-day. It was these things that drove Dronstyrr to the man he
became.
And the killer he would soon be.
Power
Added Wed Jan 13 23:18:42 2010 at level 44:
It was on one of these average days that Dronstyrr noticed something...odd.
In most of their travels through the cities and towns, they had encountered
great battles and mighty figures, hiding from most, begging from others.
But now it seemed like there was an uneasy quiet.
His father and mother had no clue of the outside world except for what
they needed to survive, so they couldn't shed any light on the current
state of events. But Dronstyrr noticed. And dreamed.
Magic

And so it was that Dronstryrr began to formulate plans for his eventual
'coming-out' party. Would time spent in the warrior guild suit him?
No, he had no desire nor accumen for physical labor. What about
joining one of the more shadowy guilds of the lands? He had spent
much of his life on the road, unnoticed and unloved. Surely he would
show some natural skill in such arts as those guilds taught? Nope.
Dronstyrr was caught pilfering a small loaf of bread from a vendor in
Galadon and was flogged for his punishment.
So what was his future?
Wandering through the small village of Aldevarri, he came upon a fervent
religious man, proclaiming that the world would end.
Dronstyrr paid him no mind. Simple fool.
Walking through the ghostly town of Arkham near dusk, he met another
man promising the secrets to everlasting life.
Simpleton. Dronstyrr had no desire to become an unliving husk of flesh.
Dronstyrr wandered all over, but nothing drew him until that day
near the Weald.
For you see, he had found the shattered Tower, and it spoke to him.
Eternity

Trapped.
Hurtling towards the unfathomable Abyss, towards the very bowels of the
dark earth.
It gives one perspective.
And so Dronstyrr found himself trapped, cursing to endlessly fall towards a fate
he had embraced long ago. But what were his true desires in this world?
What exactly had he left unfinished? He thought back to his struggle
to achieve power within the guild of the shapeshifters. He remembered
battling alongside those members of the fool Empire merely to stay
alive among the sea of men and beings who wished him dead. He looked
upon the Chasm, and let the Ccul'gra standing near that his magic was
theirs should the agreement be kept.
But above all else, he had focused on what the Tower told him that long
day ago.
To build magic. To weaken the Veil. To make Twist's name spoke on the lips
of all who breathe the very magic-laden air.
No. It could not be over. MUST not be over.
Survival
Added Sat Jan 23 11:09:18 2010 at level 51:
Reaching the fruitful pinnacle of his guild, Dronstyrr was once again
thwarted by the mechanizations of those who wished to keep him down.
His entrance into the Chasm of the Eternal Night, and his plans for it
were dashed by the fool ramblings of a gossip-mongering necromancer.
His further allegiance with the Ccul'gra was shattered by the whims
of the Sloth Goddess Mergulla, for she must have feared the actions a
true warrior of Twist would have undertaken with the power granted.
And so Dronstyrr continued, seeking revenge on those who had
attempted to stem his rise to power, showing mercy when it suits him,
killing those others he deems threaten the Veil and his legacy.
However, this has not been easy. Dronstyrr is alone, moreso than ever.
A type of existence he knows well, yet through it all, all the attacks by
those who hate magic, love nature, or God-blinded, he has perservered.
For the Tower must be rebuilt. It is clearer now. His path is set.
Foes
Added Sat Jan 30 13:27:34 2010 at level 51:
Dronstyrr continued his magical studies, learning all his guild could offer.
He traveled throughout the realm, searching for magical items of
varying power and age. Venturing to many legendary areas of the
world, Dronstyrr was privy to some of the most powerful magic that
existed. He gleaned whatever information his brain could comprehend,
and did his best to escape such places with his hide intact.
The fool Redhorn warriors, magic-hating morons of Ostalagiah, and
maniacs of the Tree still continued to beset Dronstyrr on all fronts.
Of most, he has found the Tree particularly loathesome, as it seemed
at times their members lay in wait for the mage for weeks at a time.
All these foes and more, and still, Dronstyrr focuses his attention on
a greater enemy.
The Queen of Lies.
Once insulted by the Goddess by being cast from the ranks of those
seeking to join with the Ccul'gra, Dronstyrr made it a life's goal to
show the Dread Goddess the error of her ways. Calling on the aid
of a young mistress of necromancy, Dronstyrr had the mage who
ruined his reputation with the Queen slain with no mercy, even offering
payment in excess of mosts' wildest dreams for the descent into hiding
of Ksathra. He has not seen the Queen's favored in many years since he
first hired others to take care of his problem, and now, she sends other
young mages to pry information about the Chasm from Dronstyrr.
His grudge with the Queen is not yet done.
Distractions
Added Tue Feb 2 17:54:05 2010 at level 51:
Dronstyrr has found his pursuit of his goal thwarted at every turn.
He could not find entrance into the Chasm, and increase his
power. He could not find a way to make his magic find a form
that suited him, even with discussion and lore-searching. He
could not find competant allies (other than a young female
necromancer). He found various artifacts of power, but some eluded
him still and others could not be comprehended.
All these things have contributed to Dronstyrr losing sight of his
true goal. More troublesome than this failure, was the lack of
responsive from Twist. Dronstyrr was crushed when he discovered
another had been named the Champion of Magic, especially a fool
blinded by the zealots of the Redhorn.
Now he has been even marked by the Tribunal as criminal. While
the mark alone troubles Dronstyrr little, how he recieved it is
still a mystery, for he had just returned from a trip to the Underdark
and was resting, itching himself and mumbling in his guild
when he was marked by a Magistrate of Seantryn.
Through all this, he continues to perservere, and search for what
eludes him.
