Description
The faint light glistens off of the charcoal black skin of this elven man.
His head is shaven and his ears and nose are adorned with several gold and
silver hoops. His sparkling lavander eyes seem to pierce into your soul and
his mouth is fixed in what appears to be a permanent snarl. His movements
are fluid and graceful speaking to a long life of mastery of the body. His
clothes are travel worn and caked with both blood and mud, strapped about his
waist is a belt sporting two deadly looking swords.

He remembers it as if it were yesterday. His mother taking him on his 10th
birthday to the temple to the spider goddess. It had been my first time
visiting the matrons private temple and i was excited. When we arrived two
guards took me and brought me to the altar and to my amazement began tieing
me down. I was to be the sacrifice to the spider queen. I did not do as I
should have I fought kicked and screamed begging for life. I remember my
mother chuckling at my pain. As the priest brought up the knife I felt a
prick in my neck and the last thing I remember seeing was the knife plunging
down.
When I had awoken I was in a room and before me was a drowish man dressed in
gaudy clothes with a massive red feather in is hat. He told me that i had
been save from the spider queen by the brotherhood of Tanac, the patron lord
of male drow and sworn enemy of the spider queen. I was then brought and
raised within the brotherhood, a guild of assassins, warriors, and thieves
whose goal was profit, power, and the destruction of any who followed the
spider goddess.
In meditation one day he was given a vision by Tanac where he walked in the
sun and bearing the mark of a chosen his blades red with blood.That very
night he left for the surface so that he might bring his destiny to fruition.
Visions of purpose

As drovis bears down on another orphan his falchion dripping with blood he is
suddenly struck by a blinding pain from his sword hand.As soon as he drops
the weapon the pain receeds and his mind is filled with visions. Images of
men wiggling there fingers and massive golems and bursts of energy whirl by.
All of them though are tied in a massive web and in the middle sits the
violet spider herself. Suddenly a dark figure dives from the shadows and
impales the wretched spider on a sword, as the figure turns Drovis realizes
it is himself. At that moment he knew Tanac's will.
Drovis in 3 words

Three words best describe what Drovis is, Arrogant, Fanatical, and Immoral.
Arrogant
Drovis believes that some people are flat out better then others. Mostly he
believes that drow are better then everyone else and of course he thinks
himself better then most if not all drow. He has a very heightened opinion
of himself and likes to make himself seem better then other people. He is
quick to point out flaws in others and slow to recognize them in himself.
Fanatical
Drovis is a fanatical member of the Brotherhood of Tanac which is just a
relgion following the god Tanac. I will get into more detail in a subsequent
role chapter about the brotherhood but the basic jist is that they are an
apocalyptic cult. Their god was imprisoned by the lords of light through the
betrayal of lloth. While in evil soceity betrayal is expected its still
punished so most of the brotherhood is concerned with punishing lloth and her
followers. For drovis this means mostly mages since you don't see any
priests of lloth outside of drow city. the brotherhood is all about
destroying the world so he revels in destruction and doesn't care about his
own deaths that much.
Immoral
basically drovis is evil. He has no
problem telling flat out lies and screwing people over.He also doesn't ask
for things but instead more or less demands them and doesn't often give
thanks.Me as a player is having difficulty with maintaining this hard line
but I am working on it.My biggest example is that when drovis needs field
dressing he simply says give them to me rather then ask for them.

The Brotherhood of Tanac
Origin of Tanac and the brotherhood
Tanac is one of the original dark-elven pantheon and represents the spheres
of death and destruction. His wife was lloth and his followers were known as
the brotherhood. As time went on he grew sick of creation and took the form
of an avatar and began to destroy everything. At his right hand came his
followers, male drows, at his left hand came a host of shadow demons. During
the conflict LLoth struck a pact with several gods of light who created a
prison deep in the earth. Lloth Betrayed Tanac tricking him into the prison
and ending the apocalypse. She then eliminated the other dark-elven gods and
claimed the drow people as her own.
Downfall of the Brotherhood
With their god imprisoned and the followers of lloth hunting them down the
brotherhood changed from a cult into a secret society. To replace the
priests they lost they began training psyonicists. Their numbers remained
very small and the brothehod split into two branches. the right hand
consisted of the muscle more or less of the brotherhood. Those members who
were dedicated to the destruction of the brother hoods enemies through
physical means.the left hand of the brotherhood are the weavers of
deception. Almost all psyonicists they seek to manipulate the mind and the
masses to their own ultimate destruction. Despite this division though the
brotherhood never exceeded more then 30 to 100 members.
Rebirth of the Brotherhood
The brotherhood had continued working in secret to get revenge on Lloth for
her betrayal and to free Tanac from his prison.At the dawn of the fourth
age something changed though. The time of troubled magic had severly
weakened Tanacs prison and he was now able to reach out from it to a degree.
He began communication with his brotherhood and began setting them back in
motion to grow.He promises that soon he will be free, and that all those
who stayed faithful would find a place at his side in the coming days of
destruction. This also included the dead which he would return as demons.
Drovis and the brotherhood
Drovis is a member of the right hand of tanac. He was rescued from being
sacrificed to Lloth as a babe and raised in the secret community. He serves
as the begining of a new branch of the brotherhood that will reach to the
surface to prepare the way for the coming apocalypse.
