Description

You gaze comes to fall across a strikingly pretty female svirfnebli. Small and petite looking, though a bit chubby, this female svirfnebli has white hair hanging down to her midback that flow like strands of silk, contrasting slightly against her pale protected skin. Her face is smooth and soft looking, caked with dirt and mud not thick enough to conceal her many freckles on her cheeks. Bright blue eyes seem to shimmer against the spots of dirt and grime with a mischievous gleam to them. Her very feminine but rounded out female form is concealed with silk blouses and skirts made of the most lavish materials, concealed mostly by her leather armors and cloaks. She unconsciously rubs a daggers hilt hanging from her sash gracefully with her thumb, seemingly ready to draw it at any given moment. Though graceful she still seems to hold herself with a commanding presence, and she makes it clear from her stance who is in charge.

Role

Changes

Added Tue Sep 8 14:05:28 2009 at level 51:
Durble has come a long way in her travels. Once a male, though mystical
magics she has transformed, now taking on the mortal form of a female. In her
transformation though Durbles looks did not just change, the transformation
completely changed her, making her more graceful with a true womans touch.
Durble at first questioning the change, is growing into it like a fine pair
of boots. Whispers of the new mistress of the guild sweep the land, the rumor
being that her fingers are even quicker and she is even more daring than her
former male form. Durbles tastes since the transformation have evolved to the
even more rare, causing her to seek out the most ancient of artifacts from
the far corners of Thera. She uses her stunning new Charisma and girlish ways
to even further her influence and get what she wishes as Kingpin of Galadon.
The Galadon guild is flourishing madly underneath her, and her authority
there is unquestioned. More travelers than ever whom pass through Galadon
know that the Mistress of the Guild will be getting her share of anything
going on in her City.

Rising to the Top

Added Sun Aug 30 10:54:56 2009 at level 51:
Proving himself the best Thera has to offer in the way of thievery, Durble
put up a massive campaign and stole the Kingpin position out from under the
nose of Jazan. Still very bright and alive, his svirfneblin spark has brought
for many great adventures. He has began writing The Adventurers Guide to
Thera, the TAG, and is having the chapters published for adventurers all
around Thera to gain an edge in their travels. Durble has matured a great
deal in his years, gaining a very respectable reputation known to the far
corners of Thera. Adventurers and Legends of Thera alike approach him from
near and far, seeking to buy treasure, or make payments for protection. His
tastes have grown to much rarer treasures, and the adventurer in him keeps
him out looking for new locks to pick, artifacts to collect. He has taken an
interest in some of the rarer magics in Thera, always seeking to up his
advantage with a trick. The spark inside Durble that has been manifesting
itself slowly has now turned up a storm, making Durble very unpredictable.
His quiet search for the Equation of Entropy has turned up no leads other
than the Gods Temple, discouraging Durble very little as he continues on,
always keeping his ears open for hints as to its whereabouts. A proud part of
Captain Neltoudas crew and Kingpin of Galadon.

A greater inspiration

Added Tue Aug 4 15:44:12 2009 at level 39:
Durble has continued has mastery over the Thieving arts in his struggle to
become known as the best thief in Theras history. Now a Deckhand in his
Captains crew, Durble has matured much sine he first came before her many
years ago. Branching out from simply touching people with IOUS, he has
developed many ways to inspire, many ways to pull the reaction he desires
from others. His wacky and ubbeat attitude aside, he has also Announced
himself the Unofficial Kingpin of Hillcrest and Upper Cragstone. Often he can
be found there, enforcing the guild and distressing the guard. He has also
implemented a Gnome Tax in many areas of Thera, where he will corner foes and
steal their possessions in tax for passage. Friend, Foe, It makes no
difference. His targets are as random as the shifting of the Storms, Durble
truly believes in Chaos. Like the storms, Chaos can be everything, and
nothing. It can be Beautiful or Ugly. It is the alpha to the omega of
structure. The only sure thing to be known of Durble is that his Greed rules
his Chaotic nature, and treasure and gold always bring his attentive eye that
direction. To inspire through Chaos to Durble is the Greatest inspiration of
all, for it truly can shows the inspiree the very essence of the Inspirer,
and to inspire with such great influence can be the greatest treasure of all.

A feeling of Purpose-Becoming the Pirate

Added Fri Jul 31 15:39:15 2009 at level 29:
Durble has come long and far in his last few months. He has grown reputable
in his guild, and even the entire city of galadon. Very few people caught a
glance at him. And when they did, they knew what they had likely spotted. He
had grown a wicked reputation for stealing, and the worst was that he was
horribly talented at it. Durble was not a wicked person though. He was not
much of a murderer unless threatened, and even though he stole freely, he
left IOU notes in place of what he took. Turning his heart to stone, so to
speak, was not an easy task, even living the brigand life. Durble has been
filled with purpose, and direction, since speaking with the Captain Neltouda,
and being offered a spot on her crew. She was glorious and awesome, unlike
anything Durble had encountered before. She brought him in, and Taught him of
the ways of the storms. Durble had always felt these feelings inside, his
mind always jumbled like the chaos of the storm. Never committing to what
everyone expects, to what they can see ahead. Using the world as his ocean,
he is slowly becoming a true pirate, Learning the ways of the brigand and
becoming more and more the Great Thief he was destined to become with each
day.

Rumor of a Captain Goddess and her Crew

Added Mon Jul 27 14:23:57 2009 at level 15:
Working hard on the streets of Galadon as a thief, Durble acquired enough
coins to please the guild master. Thieving came easily to him, a second
nature now. Durble felt as if he was stealing now just to steal, as if its
purpose had been lost. Was this all there was to the thieves guild? There was
a part of Durble that felt hollow, unfulfilled. Days passed on and off,
Durble constantly acquires new tricks, that satisfy himbut in a different
way. Something was missingSome purpose. Of course Durble eyed the Kingpins
chambers with greedy anticipation. His greed had no end. All in its time, He
would retire in those chambers. But that was an end, not a journey. So what
then. Durble had become frustratingly confused. His chaotic antics alone left
people about him spinning, but being confused himself made it a mess. One day
in the guildhall, he heard the whispers of older thieves. They told of a
great Captain Goddess of the sea and sky that had anchored her ship to Thera.
Rumors were spreading, this Goddess, Neltouda, commanded a legendary ship,
and the best part, a large treasure barge, surely filled with countless
unimaginable treasures. And that many of these treasures had been brought to
her by followers. It was also said that she was expanding her crew to the
worthy, that could gain her favor. The prospect of gaining the favor of a
Goddess, of belonging to a crew of the finest mix of adventurers from the
farthest corners of Thera. It could not be true. Durble knew instantly from
there his desiresHe would set out to please the Goddess Neltouda, impressing
her with treasures and gold from his adventures,. Perhaps gaining her favor,
and one day an offer to server her crew, to fill her treasure barges to the
brim with the finest treasures in Thera. Perhaps if he could prove himself
enough, he could find himself a position as a Treasure Keeper or Vault
Cartographer when he is old and retires from the lands as a thief.

Making ties to a guild

Added Sat Jul 25 19:10:28 2009 at level 6:
After spending a few weeks in galadon, Durble has expended most of his coin,
and is still out of work. He is not a hard worker, rather he despises it.
Also, confrontation is not a thing Durble favors to indirect action, so work
as a mercenary or brigand was out. Things were starting to look dim for
Durble in Galadon. Being one whom only cares for himself, not knowing the
value of family or friendship, Durble began to steal to get by. Just small
things at first, but over time, Durble began to catch himself sizing up theft
jobs just to size them up, it was then he realized he had a knack for robbing
people. Having hardly nothing left to his name, he sought the aid of the
Thieves guild master, whom taught him a few tricks for the time being. He
would have to earn his way into the guild, pay his guild fees, and then begin
to amass his own wealth and standing in the guild, anything to fill his
greedy pockets with more gold.

Past beginnings

Added Sat Jul 25 17:30:38 2009 at level 2:
Durble has always been a rebel to the idea of a normal boring life. His
parents werent around much, having never wanted a kid in the first place. It
is unsure but either they didnt notice, or didnt care that that Durble left
when of a working age to find his own way. He didnt have much, some clothes
and basic provisions, and a belt knife, but on his way out the door, the den
was empty. He stole his fathers coinpurse and bolted out of the den and off
into his next life. The money in the coinpurse was enough to get started for
a few weeks, but it would not last him long. Durble made his way towards
Galadon. It was the grandest city for trade and commerce in Thera, and the
most well traveled. Surely there he could find a way to make his way and find
himself a trade.
