Description
A small, fine boned woman stands before you. Her flesh is almost
luminescently pale, not concealing the fine red and blue tracing
blood vessels beneath the skin. She has long colorlessly blonde
hair, its fine wisps dancing in the most gentle of breezes. A
strange spark dances deep in her clear, pale gray eyes. As she
shifts, and the light strikes her face, for a moment you seem to
see through her flesh and gaze directly at the sharp, hollow
lines of her skull.

Ehlynn is a deeply troubled young woman. She was born in one of the villages
east of Arkham, and the little she remembers of her childhood - mere flashes
and images - were of laughter, hard work, and the scents of the harvest. She
was possessed when the Darkness came, and is still tormented by raging
nightmares of destructive lust. Her concious memories begin with her laying,
awakening slowly, before an ancient oak in the forest east of the villages.
As she returned to conciousness, she felt a hideous, despairing screaming
vibrate through her bones as the demon possessing her was cast out.
She awoke, cold, wounded, and alone. A strange peace seemed to emanate from
the ancient oak - adorned with a hangman's noose - and to flow through her,
barricading her from her memories and her emotions. She stumbled, bleeding
and clumsy, through the woods and the villages, somehow shielded from the
sight of the demons and undead, to sprawl half-dead before the cathedral in
Arkham.
Ehlynn has few memories, and fewer emotions. She feels a deep connection to
the earth itself, and her beating heart and pulsing blood ties her to the
shifting seasons. She is a woman divided, within and without, living but not
living. Breathing but cold.
She is tied to the cycle of life and - more importantly - death. Her life
throbs in tune to the circle, and her soul dances line that marks the Death
and cleansing that begins the circle anew.
Her dreams are haunted by images of the Hanged Man, a cloaked figure bearing
a scythe, and overlaying all a stooped figure with three faces - two cloaked
in shadow, the third promiment: the features of an ancient Crone with dark
eyes bearing a terrifying knowledge.
Whispers on the Wind

Chasing the dreams that haunt her, Ehlynn stumbled across a small temple
hidden in farmland near Aturi. Within the temple she found confusing images
and a bewildering text. She gazed directly on an ancient woman, her features
hidden by shadows like the rustling feathers of a raven. The woman's eyes
warmed her, the knowlege in them chilled her, and a whisper on the wind
spoke a weary blessing and reminded her that it is the Crone you shall seek.
Questioning

Questioning
Ehlynn has begun questioning the great spirits she has encountered. She looks
to them for enlightment of how they perceive Death. She looks for perspectives
on what it is, and if significant - why.
To date she has spoken with Ordasen, the White Bear. He was offended by her
irrelevant answers, threatened her life, and vanished. She offered her life,
freely given, in amends in a silent prayer. It received no response.
Ehlynn's first... discussion... has disappointed her, but she will continue
to seek insight into the role of Death in philosophies and religions. Even
if it shall cost her life.
Empowered by the Crone

Ehlynn finally spoke with the Crone herself. After a brief discussion the Crone granted Ehlynn access to more
of her power. How intruiging.
