Description
Short for her race, this fire giant woman looks massive due
to her visibly strong muscles covered by a layer of fat. No
mistake should be made, this layer of fat won't hinder her
movements when she needs to strike fast. It looks like she
doesn't walk but flows from one place to another like a drop
of mercury.
Her face is interesting because it combines two seemingly
incompatible expressions. On one hand, it has a stamp of
education on it. She looks like a person who can write and
read and whose speech will be grammatically correct when she
opens her mouth. On the other hand, sometimes a fire of
truly bestial passion shines in her eyes, turning her into a
terrible monster for brief seconds.

The Ranger

"Halt!" an old elf exclaimed, "Ones like you are not welcome
here!" Essenida stopped.
He sat on the trunk of a fallen tree right in front of her,
his blue eye being six feet away from hers, but she couldn't
see him until he gave himself out with his voice. Essenida
stood speechless, amazed with his skill. She came to the
right place, now she was sure.
"I want to join your guild" she said firmly.
"What? You've clearly had some training in the dark knights
guild. That foul stench is unmistakable. Why coming here?"
"There's a bunch of outlaws camping in the forest north of
Arkham. Ever heard of them?"
The elven ranger nodded.
"I want them dead, and if I need to creep in the dirt to get
there, I will" Essenida paused, "You are Sycamore Deeproot,
aren't you?"
The ranger nodded again.
"From what I've heard, you have no love for them yourself."
"This is true," the ranger said. "Alright, come in. Young
rangers need someone to laugh at, and who can be better for
that than a fat clumsy fire giant woman twice as old as they
are who tries to master the woodsman's tricks?"
The Failure

They appeared on the clearing silently. A wood-elf in druid
robes, a cloud giant with two axes and a human woman with a
horn of some exotic animal in her hand. The sun was almost
below the horizon, but the druid still managed to focus the
remaining light and burn Wuhjaahz with its power.
Essenida opened her eyes widely, watching. The rage of the
demon was terrible, and at first Essenida thought the three
would be slain immediately. They proved otherwise, clearly
demonstrating that this was not the first demon they fought.
The bard sounded a strange, mind-piercing melody that got
Wuhjaahz disoriented for a second, the druid kept focusing
the sunlight, and the warrior got behind him and chopped his
head off with an axe.
"This demon will not defile Thar-Eris anymore," the warrior
said.
"What with these?" the bard asked, waving her hand with the
horn at Essenida and the body of Grasmin. Essenida closed
her eyes quickly, pretending unconscious.
"Victims." the druid shrugged. "We don't have time for them.
We must take the Scales before their provost returns."
And they moved away, leaving two corpses and one very angry
naked fire giant behind.
The Demon

What does a fire giant anti-paladin want to have? Strength.
Power. They may take different ways to that goal, but the
goal itself is always the same. Essenida's way to power was
strange, mildly speaking. She wanted to bend a supernatural
creature in her will and use the power of that creature to
further her own goals.
She couldn't think of any other supernatural creature than a
half-demon, and the only way to get such a creature in her
possession was to give birth to it. Perhaps she just wanted
to learn what a sexual relationship with a demon feels like.
In any case, Essenida's resourcefulness was remarkable: she
has found information about the demon who was reported to be
the father of several terrible half-breed monsters, and she
found two scrolls describing the ritual to summon this demon
named Wuhjaahz. It took years to research the ritual and to
find a conjurer able to perform it but stupid enough to not
see the consequences. Now the sacrifice was complete, and
Essenida could speak to the father of her future child.
She looked at the demon. He had gray scaly skin. His head
was darker, almost black. He had three eyes, two on the
sides of his dog-like muzzle, and one more on his forehead.
Sharp triangular teeth looked from his mouth at all possible
angles, and the drops of drool caused acrid-smelling smoke
to rise from the ground. Wuhjaahz was simply beautiful.
"What do you want?" he said.
"I want to have your child," Essenida replied.
"Amusing. Step out then."
And so she did. The glowing of the circle died out as she
stepped over it. The demon moved with lightning speed, and
Essenida felt her clothes being torn apart by the sabers of
his claws. In a couple of places her skin was torn as well,
but that was insignificant. Essenida dropped on the ground,
her whole body shaking in anticipation. She closed her eyes
but for several moments nothing happened. The a loud roar
broke the silence. But it wasn't a sound of triumph that
she expected.
It was the sound of pain.
The Ritual
Added Sun Sep 23 14:49:29 2007 at level 1:
"Everything is ready," the conjurer's voice was a bit shaky
as if he wasn't sure. The ritual he performed was forgotten
before Kaubris researched most of his spells, scrolls that
contained the ritual's description could barely be read, so
he had a good reason to be unsure.
The preparations involved a very complicated ornament drawn
on the ground with bird cherry berries, small cups of water
and shoulder-blades of a ram, a pig, and a human placed in
key points. Pale violet glow came from the ground, forming
a circle of protection around the conjurer himself and his
companion, a muscular fire giant woman with a sword in her
hand dressed in light leather armors. The whole scene that
took place on a clearing in Violet Woodlands looked eerie in
the light of a sunset.
"Essenida," the conjurer said, "make sure you keep holding
my hand so that I can draw additional energy from you."
"No problem, Grasmin," the woman's contralto was firm.
"COME, WUHJAAHZ!!" Grasmin shouted, pouring his energy into
the magical signs. The air above the human shoulderblade
started to condense, first as thin grey mist, then thicker,
black smoke, and then a demon appeared with a flash of green
light, accompanied by a distant sound of thunder. Wuhjaahz.
"I'll eat your liver, mortal," the demon promised.
"And I'll give it to you", Essenida said and shoved her poor
companion outside of his protective circle. In less than a
heartbeat, he was dead.
