Description

Standing roughly six feet in height, this ivory-skinned elf has the look of a hunter. Various weapons adorn his belt, others protrude from his knapsack and his thin lithe hands grip a recently sharpened war-instrument fiercely. He has light brown hair and a sharp crooked nose. He has the beginnings of a light beard, though it is not yet more than a stubble. His body looks well put together, but not overly muscular. His legs are thin and add to what appears to be an agile frame. His clothes are modest and for the most part appear to come from natural resources. Continued depression

It is a certainty my kin. I am not the one to end the plague of mana
on our forests, and throughout our realm. It is not I, because I am
too weak, and unable to impose my will on the magi. Orcs, rangers,
walk over my corpse as though it is a lonely kobolds, and I am left
with nothing but my resolve and determination to keep me going.

What am I to do? I have a measure of life left in this frail failure of a body,
and I intend to live out the rest of my days upholding the Village beliefs, should
the Lords deem me worthy of my Hut.
There is nothing else to say, only to wake up tomorrow morning and get
back to the drudgery that is my life. Everytime I enter a battle I am reminded
of my previous failures and must fight to not run in fright. But I generally
do not run, I face the reality that is the need for improvement, the need
for reinvention, the need for a new body for this soul of mine.

Do not give up all hope my kin, another will come who has not the limitations
which I have, boht in body and soul. Keep faith, all is not lost.

I am failing. I am failing myself, and I am failing all of us.
The magi are toppling me like a monsoon. I feel frail, unable to keep
them at bay, nor even begin to think of their destruction.

This must be my greatest test. I must show resolve, courage even though
I have never been so depressed and felt despair such as this.
My skills as a warrior seem inadequate, and I feel I am dishonoring the
village with my presence. If this keeps up, I shall have to leave
my hut, for the village's reputation is more important than my life.

I hope it does not come to this, but I must start earning my spot and I have yet
to do or show anything which would prove that I deserve to be where I am..
as an honored defender of the Village. I am ashamed to look at the pillar.

First impressions of his new home

I've arrived in the much heralded Village of Battle. So far, I have seen
warriors of great strength as well as kin of mine who are just beginning
to form themselves as great battlers of the magi. I am dedicated to them,
and my craft as a defender of the Village I take most seriously. Yet I cannot
let them look at me as their slave, living only to mend their wounds, but rather
as their brother.  My knowledge of salves and compacts is to be shared with them and
I am happy to help them, but I must also earn their respect.

The health and strength of the village is my primary goal for now, as I learn from
my elders and gain my wits about me.
The road has just begun...

A storm brewing within.

I can feel something stirring inside of me. It unsettles me,
makes me more and more uneasy. Something is definitely wrong.
I can hear it in the wind as it rustles the leaves of my home.
I can smell it on the fringes of the campfire.

Betrayal. Deceit. Dishonor.  These are not intangible ideologies.

I can feel it, see it. And it makes me angry.
I can see the mana flowing through the air, soiling my woods and
and corrupting my flesh. If I don't do something now, I may fall
to its influence. Tempting my soul with promises of power and knowledge.
There is only one truth. Evolution. The strong survive and the weak give way
to a stronger generation.  The mana would disrupt this cycle, granting unnatural
strength to the weak, and breaking the single truth of this world.

I am young, and not yet among the strong.  To survive, this must change.
My kin, there is work to be done.
