Description
You find yourself looking upon a grimy looking arial. His plumage is a
mix of white and red, though the red not as brilliant as they could be
from the muk and dirt soiling the feathers. Feldscren has a long, sharp
beak, and behind them are two dark black eyes. Much like himself, his
clothing and armenants are filthy as well. Mixed into his clothing are
patches of fur, feathers, and skins from various creatures. Hanging
around his neck is a cord of small bones, possibly from a small animal.
Feldscren's body is actually in fairly good shape, atheletic and fairly
toned as someone who spends a lot of time doing rigorous work.
Desipite all the dirt and mud covering him, he doesn't smell too bad,
certainly not clean, but not nose wrenching either.
Role
A Match in the Cold

The chilling wind blew through the deserted streets of the city, a
warning of the forth coming snow. It howled and whipped, threatening
to knock down any would be person still outside. A young arial boy
could be seen hudled in an ally, doing his best to avoid the merciless
cold. From time to time he could be seen lighting a match, hoping to
find warmth in the small flame.
As the boy shivered in the bleak weather, he looked up and smiled, as
though a promise was made. He hugged himself tightly, a faint whipser
escaping his beak, "Thank you Grombie!" The boy's eyes began to close
and he drifted off to sleep.
===============================================
Morning came and the young arial found himself wrapped in blankets
and resting upon a worn out cot. As he glanced around the room, he
saw several other cots, though empty for the time being, but clearly
used. A smile crossed the boy's face as he finally noticed Grombie sitting
on wooden stool beside the bed, arms cross and snoring slightly.
Feldscren decided not to wake his cow headed friend, but instead to
explore where he was at. It appeared to be some manor of sorts, and
while not warm, he was not freezing from the cruel winter day. A loud
clamour of noises caught his attention, and following the source he
entered a well lit room where several children were eating and talking.
They all stopped when he entered, and then he was welcomed.
Magic's no good! Just ask dem trees!

"Now ya listen to me boy, that sort of stuff is no good! It hurts
everything around, bringing death to life that should not be." the old
woodsman quiped as he dug a finger into Feldscren's chest.
"Them mages don't care much about how they handle stealing from
around them for the power. Look at those who make the dead walk
again and the others who would tarnish the land." the ranger spat.
"You must never give into its use boy. It will make you weaker then a
drowning rat with no feet!" he continued.
This is how the day usually started ever since the orphanaged burned
down and Feldscren came into learning from the ranger. The old man
showed Feldscren how to live off the land, how to be one with it, to see
the nurturing side and the fierce side of it all. And always with how
magic often devestates it. From mages creating unnatural winds, to
glacial weather, to creating fire to burn it all. And some even learned to
control the weather. All of it upsetting the natural way of the world.
Each day this lesson was hammered into him. Each day the young arial
came to understand how truly bad magic affected everything. He swore
he would never use it and would try to find a way to stop it. Perhaps it
was magic that seperated he and Grombie. He had not seen him since
the fire. He missed his best friend.
