Description
She is tall and lean, with the dusk-toned skin of her drow heritage softened
by human blood. Her long white hair falls in loose waves, often half-bound
with thin strips of leather. Sharp cheekbones and narrow eyes give her a look
of constant watchfulness, and there is a stillness to her presence that draws
attention without effort. Her robes are layered and earth-toned, worn and
weather-stained from long travel, yet meticulously kept. Bone decorations
hang from her sleeves and belt, clicking softly as she moves. Her hands are
calloused and ink-stained, each gesture marked by years of ritual and
restraint.
Role
The Unveiling of Betrayal
Added Thu Apr 10 13:49:38 2025 at level 7:
For ten years, she believed in the vows they exchanged. Her husband, a man
who once spoke of honor and sacred love, had whispered lies into her ears
while his heart belonged to another. She had followed him that evening not
out of suspicion, but from a desire to surprise him. What she found instead
was devastation. In the dim candlelight of a stranger's bed, she saw them
together, bodies entwined, voices soft with love not meant for her. Her world
crumbled. But it wasn't just the act that shattered her. It was the
confession she heard before they noticed her. Words of love. Of forever.
Meant for someone else. Her blade moved before her thoughts did. Blood washed
across the silk sheets like a dark tide. She killed them both, not in rage
but in something colder, clarity. In that moment, she shed the last illusion
of a life that was never hers.
The Pact of the Ledger
Added Thu Apr 10 13:55:44 2025 at level 7:
The spirits had led her far, but it was not until she stumbled upon the
sacred symbol of Nycruvae etched into the bones of an ancient altar that her
purpose crystallized. This was not a god of fire and fury. This was a keeper
of oaths. A weaver of chains. In Nycruvae's name, she would not simply
destroy. She would bind. Vengeance was no longer a storm, it was a contract.
The goddess did not demand rage or prayer, only understanding: power is not
taken, it is owed. The Chained Ledger is eternal, and those who breach
loyalty pay in soul.
So the shaman became a student of obligation. Her victims are not slain in
haste but hunted with ritual and precision. She studies their debts, what
they've taken, what they've broken. And when she strikes, it is as an
enforcer. Their souls are bound in inkless signature and added to Nycruvae's
great accounting. Each favor she grants, each alliance she forms, is
measured. Weighted. Bartered with silent expectation. She has learned to
smile while placing a collar, to gift only what will one day return tenfold.
She gives not mercy, but terms. And in this divine economy of loyalty and
betrayal, she will become wealthy beyond reckoning.
The Voice That Binds
Added Thu Apr 10 14:26:52 2025 at level 7:
She is no longer just a hunter of betrayers and liars. She is an arbiter of
doom, a speaker of fate, and her voice carries the weight of divine
consequence. When she speaks, her enemies falter, not because of steel or
spell, but because her words peel away their resolve like rotting bark. Doubt
takes root in their hearts. Guilt unspools in their minds. She names their
sins aloud, binding them with the truth they would rather forget. Some drop
their weapons. Others run. A few weep before they die.
Her speech is sacred, an extension of the Ledger itself. Those who hear her
proclamations feel the weight of impending judgment settle upon them. She
does not shout. She states. And once stated, her words become law. You
will fail. You are alone. Your debt is due. In that moment, it
becomes true. Even her allies feel the pull of her voice, bolstered not by
hope, but by the certainty that their foes are already damned.
Through trance and ritual, she peers ahead, glimpsing the fractures in the
future. Her enemies do not fear her power. They fear what she already knows.
They fear that their fate was sealed the moment she found their names and
inked them in silence into Nycruvae's unending book.
A Taste of the Ledgers Binding
Added Mon Apr 14 01:34:49 2025 at level 17:
In the silence of the Chamber of Chains, Fereshti stood before Nycruvae. The
immortal did not demand, nor did he cajole. He simply spoke, as one reciting
a truth already known. A preliminary understanding, he called it. In exchange
for future contracts, properly written and sent, he would grant Fereshti a
taste of the power she would need.
The terms were clear. No binding yet, no divine ink set to parchment, but the
weight of obligation hovered in the air. Fereshti accepted, not lightly, but
with full awareness of the path she stepped onto. It was not merely a
bargain. It was an invitation into a deeper understanding of the world.
Soon after, the power he promised revealed itself. Not with spectacle, but
with insight. Fereshti began to see what others ignored. Debts clung to
words. Promises weighed down intentions. She could feel the tension of
obligation like a subtle current in the world around her.
It was only a taste, but it changed everything. Fereshti was no longer simply
a shaman. She had entered the Ledgers orbit, and the threads of divine
contract had begun to tighten.
Weaving the First Threads
Added Mon Apr 14 10:13:00 2025 at level 17:
Fereshti's hand had grown steady with ink. One by one, the agreements formed.
With Gorchank, the grizzled duergar, she exchanged restraint and support for
coin and consent. With Kjundos, fear was shaped into obligation, he would
feed her the names and places of the weak, in exchange for being left
untouched. Ozonat, once prey, was turned to tool. She saw his lacking armor,
guided him to better arms, and bound him through gratitude. Each pact was
small, but deliberate. Every name added to the Chained Ledger was another
step toward her purpose, another knot in the quiet web she wove.
Nycruvae's teachings lived in her breath now. She no longer saw people as
threats or allies, but as bearers of potential debt. Each conversation was a
ledger waiting to be filled.
The Shape of Greater Binding
Added Mon Apr 14 10:20:52 2025 at level 17:
A new idea formed, one far larger than any pact before. Fereshti considered
offering a future bond to the Hole Empire itself. Not out of alliance or
fondness, but out of mutual benefit. Should the Fortress of Light bear down
upon them with full force, she would answer their need. In return, they would
grant her peace within their lands, and access to valuable intelligence:
movements, vulnerabilities, names.
It would cost her little, yet promise much. The Fortress was her enemy
already. Helping the Empire in a moment of desperation would only hasten her
own goals. And the terms would be clear, recorded in the Chained Ledger. No
hidden debts, no uncertain favors, just a clean exchange of power.
Still, it was only a thought. The idea was raw, unfinished. It would take
patience and subtlety to shape it into something binding. The Empire would
not sign lightly, and she would need to prove the worth of her offer without
showing too much of her need. But the potential was there. A debt of
empire-sized weight, waiting to be written.
The Web of Obligation
Added Sat May 3 10:13:49 2025 at level 21:
Fereshti never sought to withhold her service. From the moment she accepted
the taste of Nycruvae's power, she acted. She bartered, offered terms, sowed
promises. She gave the God of Debt what she thought was owed: motion,
influence, and mortal agreements. But intent, she learned, was not enough. A
spoken understanding is but a shadow until the ink dries.
The Allegories, which she now kept folded and thumbed with use, whispered
truths more subtle than law. Obligation did not begin with mere action. It
began with record. Every pact she made, every debt extracted, would not feed
the Ledger until it was anchored. Her efforts had not been dismissed, but
they had been incomplete.
She would correct that.
No longer would she strike informal bargains and expect divine recognition.
Each agreement would be written, sealed, and sent. And in return, Nycruvae
would continue to empower her, guiding her toward the afterlife of two souls
she longed to find, to condemn. Her vengeance would be eternal and lawful.
Even those she once clashed with could yet be made useful. There would be no
allies, no enemies, only those caught in the lines of her contracts. The web
would tighten, and her purpose would thrive within it.
A Shadowed Invitation
Added Sat May 3 10:20:07 2025 at level 21:
In the quiet of their meeting, Fereshti found herself drawn to the strange
allure of Sumae, the calm, commanding Scion who walked always in the company
of a nightwalker. What began as simple curiosity about those creatures of
shadow unraveled into a deeper revelation: the Shadow Plane was not just a
myth, but a twin reality, bound by fate to their own.
Sumae's teachings were veiled in mystery, her words laced with challenge and
subtle praise. Fereshti, a devout of Nycruvae, understood the language of
contracts and obligation, and so, she listened. It was not an invitation that
was offered, but a path: one of discipline, of influence, of reputation. Her
past betrayal and cold resolve did not disqualify her. If anything, they
strengthened her.
Now, with purpose reshaped, Fereshti sets her sights on the Scions of Eternal
Night. The Shadow stirs, and she is eager to prove herself worthy, not with
mere bloodshed, but with influence, mentorship, and persistence. Her name
will echo in both Planes, not merely as a killer, but as one who understands
the cost of every deal, and the strength in guiding others toward darkness.
