Description
An dark-skinned human is here, jet black hair slicked back,
matted down with some slightly fragrant substance.
His skin is a dark olive color, and his fingernails
are well maintained to a near polish. His clothing
is well-fitting, yet meager, as if it is his only
outfit and he wishes to keep it in good shape. He
somehow appears to have both a grin and a blank
look on his face simultaneously as he absently
clutches a gold chain around his neck.

At the time, Finli was signed on as an apprentice to a Master Mage in Hamsah
by the name of Tenac O'Tega. This man was a fair employer, and always paid
Finli on time. However, it was in Finli's nature to want more than he was
given. So one night, while his master slept, Finli crept into his room,
slit his master's throat, and ran off with the moderate collection of
coins which were kept in his master's coinpurse.
For days-- perhaps weeks-- Finli carried about business as if he had not
made the single most change to his own persona that a man can make. He had
killed. And not for something righteous or just. He had murdered his master
for a few coins, which had already been spent on a new chain Finli now
proudly wore around his neck like a trophy.
Then one night, Finli awoke to a dark shadowy creature, barely pressing on
his chest as he lay in bed.
"We are ... heeere, F-f-inli. We wanti. What yoooou want."
The Search.

Finli is beginning to learn that these shadowy figures which are contacting
him are real. Very real.
In his research, he has found a keep of some dark society which calls
these shadowy creatures into our world..And these creatures now reside
where these men seem to be missing.
And even more intriguing is that there seems to be an entire force of
these night-creatures which are being held at bay only by the magic of
an order of elves whose sole purpose is to prevent their passage into
this world at large.
Finli has heard whisperings of an order of mages who somehow work
together with these shadows... perhaps they are the ones who can help
Finli bring these shadows out of his dreams, and into the Night. Into
real, fresh, night air and breeze...where dreams become reality.
Where the gold of this world pales in comparison to what is offered
from beyond the planes...
