Description
A shiny black bald head reflects the ambient light here. The
head is attached to a monstrous fire giant of the largest
proportion you have seen. A massive crawling insect tattoo
covers the whole landscape of his bald head, inked in
a stark white hue. It looks to have seven legs, a mixture
between the normal six or eight, making it look strange
and off to your eyes. His hulkish figure is diminished by
his face and eyes. His face is small and round, with black,
brackish stubble covering most of his lower face. His
eyes are cow-like and also round. Within them are tiny
pinpricks of white in an otherwise vast sea of black. It
is difficult to distinquish where his black, ebony flesh ends
and his pupils begin. This effect gives him a blank,
almost foolish look. As you review the rest of his belongings
you notice a trend of vermin and insects of all kinds
inscribed upon each and every piece.
Role
Finding the Kinship: Bugs, Vermin, etc. The Small
Added Mon Aug 19 15:10:43 2013 at level 5:
Gagxoy is simply a transplant from Kiadana, a place that he
was not meant to be. Frankly they didn't want him there anyway.
He was quickly drummed out for his cow-like foolish looks
that made him look stupid and not "fire giant"ish. Looking
weak isn't exactly a good thing to have in a society based
completely around strength and power.
So homeless and drummed out of society of Kiadana, Gagxoy
found a small hovel in the forest northwest of Arkham. There
he lived and... maintained. Thrived is not the word to use since
he was somewhat simple in mind that complimented his simple
looks. Gagxoy lived off the land and ate minimally, mainly
scavaging off the natural, spare resources, of the forest and
land. It was a simple life with no aspirations for more.
On is what is considered his "Coming of Age", or his date of
becoming a true fire giant male, Arkham was plagued with
yet another blight. Hordes of insects, vermin, bugs, of every
kind came upon Arkham in a swarm. Gagxoy saw the swarm
coming and got so frightened he passed out. He was now
fresh meat to be eaten by this swarm.
Strangely enough the swarm simply passed over him, decimating
everything around him, including consuming all his belongings,
clothing, everything. They even shaved his head, snipping away
each hair and taking it with them. During that night too his head
was "dyed" by the bugs themselves through tiny stings causing
the skin on his ebony head to be marked with white dead skin
in the shape of a seven legged insect.
Gagxoy woke up, naked, his body marked by this swarm. He
looked around and everything was destroyed. Trees stripped,
grass consumed, ground barren. Gagxoy stumbled into
Arkham, and it was even worse there. Dozens of residents
had been consumed down to the bone. Hovels that were not
well built were overrun and all those within eaten.
Gagxoy stood at Town Square naked, with the mark on his
head. First from the townspeople saw him and were stunned
he survived. Then they saw upon his head the strange white
mark and felt that he was the bringer of the swarm. They rushed
him to destroy him, bringing to bear all their anger for what
happened.
Gagxoy ran and hid, barely getting away. The simple Gagxoy
began to believe...
Bringer of the Swarm - Defender of the Small - Breaker of the Big
Added Mon Aug 19 15:11:58 2013 at level 5:
Gagxoy being so simple saw this all as "Fated". That he was to be
fated as the Avatar of the bugs, vermin, the Swarm. This situation, while
in reality most likely just chance, became solidifed in his mind that
he is now the chosen one. His simple mind latched onto this idea
like a bear trap clamping on a hapless deer, never letting go.
Instilled with this righteous endeavor, Gagxoy's simplicity became his
best weapon. Driven, sharp, to the point, his simplicity became an
unstoppable faith. He will be the largest creature which is meant to
be the defender of the smallest natural creatures. The world runs
on the smallest beings. And anything big, must be destroyed. And
so Gagxoy worships the bugs, the vermin, and the smallest God
in Thera, Lyristeon, the Ancient Trickster, the Tiny Blue Imp!
Worshipping the Smallest God of Gods, The Tiny Blue Imp Lyristeon
Added Mon Aug 19 15:12:23 2013 at level 5:
What or who better to worship as a defender of the small as the
Ancient Trickster, the smallest God around, Lyristeon the Ancient Imp.
Gagxoy's wisdom is what points him toward this obvious conclusion.
Gagxoy's supposed simplicity and nievity is actually his greatest
weapon and strength. He prays to his Blue Imp by circling himself
with icons of insects/vermin (or real ones!) and praising the small
at a place that represents the Gaping Maw.
Destroying the Big
Added Mon Aug 19 15:13:44 2013 at level 5:
Big is defined as obviously anything bigger than Gagxoy. But what
it really is is the imagery of things that have grown into something
too large to support itself must be destroyed. Gagxoy is the weapon
to do that breaking. Specifically cities and Tribunal, concepts like
Empire, Scions, even Nexus. Fortress as well of creating a place
where innocents are spared, but in the wilds, nothing is spared.
All is broken down and reused.
Furthermore his hatred stems even farther to creatures of immensely
large size. Dragons are seen as the greedy things that gather
more than what they need or consume. The dragon's flesh itself
is fine, it is the pile they sit on of coins, and influence, and magical
devices, which causes a top heavy, broken situation. Gagxoy
hunts and destroys the "Big" in all its shape and form.
