Description

A slick sheen of red light bounces off the scaly splotches on this goblins fiery-hued skin. His flesh is a dark shade of deep red, as if born from the center of a volcano. He has a shock top tuft of orange hair puffing out of the top of his head, otherwise his head is typically slick with sweat and the same shade of red as the rest of his body. His ears are long and ragged, jutting up and out at least nine inches from the sides of his head. Exotic rings of copper, gold, and even mithril adorn his ears, you count at least three per ear. He has a feral look to his eyes. He appears one part haunted and two parts rabid if you had to size him up from his expression alone. He is very short, about the size of his hated gnome counter species. His actions are quick and fidgety, sometimes you even see his hands shaking as he rubs them together and glances around nervously. Exposure appears to disagree with him. His fingers are lithe and long, he walks with a practiced fluidity as if he would fit right in with a silent raiding party. Yet he is oddly alone with not another goblin or orc in sight except on rare occasions. His oversized head has an odd array of three black horns jutting out of it in a pattern that resembles an ebony crown. His feet seem abnormally elongated and large as well which contributes to his overall sneakiness.

Role

Creating a fiery Mini-Monster

Added Mon Dec 2 09:06:20 2019 at level 1:
-Gebble was a typical goblin growing up. He cowered and begged regularly in
the grinning skull village to get by.

-He was sent with a raiding party of six orcs and fifteen goblins to the
goblin outpost to gather new recruits/slaves for the grinning skull village.

-Once their the orcs were told of a strong gnome caravan heading through the
area on the way to Hillcrest. They decided to attack this caravan.

-Gebble was in chains at the time of the actual raid because in a confusing
and drunken lustfest he accidentally raped the lead raider in his tent.
Because of this no matter what happens Gebble knows better than to return to
the goblin outpost or Grinning Skull Village as his death warrant was sealed
with this action.

-Not knowing the power of artificers and enchanters, the raiding party raided
right into a trap and were slaughtered in full. Except one goblin, who was in
chains at the time.

-Gebble became a guinea pig of gnomish sorcery and artificing after his
capture. He developed an even deeper, primal hatred of gnomes during this
time of captivity. The gnomes kept him as a sort of oddity, a joke really.
The potions they forced into him changed him physically and mentally. Perhaps
he is wiser? More cunning? More dangerous or bloodthirsty? Simply a bit
insane?

-At times that they pushed the testing too far, there was always a healer on
hand to correct these mistakes and push Gebble back into a state of life.
Gebble loathed this, he wanted to die. He was a caged animal in the hands of
his most hated thing. Gnomes. Gebble paid close attention to both the
unguents used by the healer for simple flesh wounds, and the magics used by
the gnomes for his torments.

-Gebble wished beyond wish that he could summon his own magic to destroy the
gnomes. He coveted their power over him, he prayed daily and swore his soul
to any who would release him and let him exact his revenge. He mostly sat
silently and waited.

-It was during one of these times of prayer and waiting that Gebble looked at
himself. Goblins were never attractive creatures to begin with, but he was a
freak. He has bright red skin, and a tuft of bright orange hair. He has
scales in patches across his body, and he shakes uncontrollably at the
thought of magic. What a loathsome creature! Worthless! Completely dejected!
He prayed once again for release. Rotwang was supposedly the the god of rage
and frustration, why couldn't he hear his child!? Just at the apex of his
frustrating call to the heavens, the doors burst in. It was all over before
it even began. A great fire giant physically batted aside the shards of ice
thrown at him and laughed as his mighty axe cleaved down on the gnome mage,
splurshing him completely into the wooden floor. The giant looked at Gebble
for a moment, who rabidly struck the side of his cage with his full body
towards the giant. The giant bellowed with laughter, swatting the cage with

splurshing him completely into the wooden floor. The giant looked at Gebble
for a moment, who rabidly struck the side of his cage with his full body
towards the giant. The giant bellowed with laughter, swatting the cage with
his mighty axe. It shattered as it hit the wall. Gebble stood dazed moments
before diving out of an open window and pumping his little legs as quickly as
possible, never looking back.

A New Village, A New Raiding Party

Added Tue Dec 3 15:41:01 2019 at level 17:
Lost. Cold. Alone. Pitiful. Gebble snuck around for a very long time after
his escape. He knew he couldn't return to the goblin outpost. He couldn't
return to the Grinning Skulls. The way he saw it, even though they likely
wouldn't have heard of him being chained before the raid, he would be put
back in chains if he returned. He thought about disguising himself or just
pretending he didn't know anyone and was a new goblin out to join, afterall,
physically he looks completely different than he did when he left on his
dastardly adventure.

He has taken to calling himself a fire goblin, and when pressed he just says
he is from Kiadana Roo. He stole and plundered barns and small farms as he
worked his way south. He didn't run into any friendlies and nobody was
chasing him down exactly. He had stolen a small amount of copper and he was
about to starve to death at one point so he went into a tavern. He expected
to be thrown out immediately but the keeper simply tolerated him and took his
coin for a meal. This was the first time Gebble felt he might be able to
strike out alone.

Luck would have it he didn't have to. He ran into a less intelligent band of
goblins south of Galadon after being thrown from the city by the guard.
Sensing his strength and keen intellect, the goblins there allowed him to
stay.

As he began his adventures he learned one thing. He passionately hated magic.
It made him itch, it made him whimper, it struck fear into his core. He knew
he would never have this power, but he learned of a way he could negate it.
He learned of the Village of Battle, Haters of Magic. Clanless himself, he
gave much thought to joining the Village. After visiting the Lyceum and
learning more of its history, he found several similarities to his own
heritage and the village itself. Might makes right, working together towards
a common goal, pillaging.

Joining the village is what he will do. He will kill mages, he will end
magic, and he will assert his dominance while supporting the village as a
defender. With little training he can roll bandages and make poultices, he
has already seen it done hundreds of times.

He has not forgotten his debt to Rotwang either. He will fight hard to
impress the god of Orcs, his own deity.

Spinner

Added Thu Dec 5 12:41:12 2019 at level 26:
Outside of taking the oath of the Battlerager with Tahren, this would be the
most sacred event he has participated in.

He had planned it out carefully upon receiving knowledge from the Veteran
Raider in the Goblin Village. While he was confident he could do it, having
not done it before he wasn't sure what, or who to expect. He knew where he
would go. The Spiderhaunt Woods. Not deep into it, just skirting the edges.
He carefully navigated his way through the Forest Road and to the woods. He
made eye contact with a group of brigands, and he felt a surge of confidence
as they avoided him on the road. In his mind they were scared, in their minds
he was a lone goblin not worthy of their time.

He arrived at the woodline and planted the butt of his spear into the ground.
He took a deep breath and his chest puffed and distended further than ever
before. A low rumbling came from his chest cavity, instinctively it bellowed
forth deeply into the woods. Suddenly hundreds of eyes lit the edge of the
woodline. Perhaps he would have felt fear long ago, but now this simply was.
This came natural to him. Suddenly a spider launched itself out of the
woodline faster than a mustang might sprint. Gebble only had a moment to
admire it's beauty. Far larger than he was, with a reddish-brown carapace.
This is what he grabbed on to and swung himself up on.

The spider ran and skittered on, being led by Gebble's kicks. Gebble held on
for dear life as the spider ran up the road, across the sides of trees,
upside down, all at breakneck speeds. Gebble had never moved so fast in his
life. He may as well have been riding a great bird for as fast as he was
moving. Before he knew it he was in the plains of Udgaard. His spider was
tired out. It dug itself a hole and rested as Gebble admired his newfound
ability.

I will call you Spinner.

Night

Added Thu Dec 5 12:51:00 2019 at level 26:
He got some stares as he entered the Goblin Outpost. His bright red skin and
patch of fiery orange hair certainly made him stand out in the crowd. But he
was left alone. He was well traveled and seasoned now, unrecognizable from
the goblin who left and was chained as a prisoner before he got to the raid
site. But he wasn't here for social pleasantries or to puff his chest out in
bluster. He was puffing his chest out for other reasons. This felt right,
this would do nicely.

The ululation began the same as at the Spiderhaunt Woods. Other goblins
stopped and stared at him as the deep pitch resonated in their bodies. A
breeder orc with a very strange hat eyed him lustily as she felt his call
deep in her womb. Suddenly from nowhere she was bowled over and trampled by a
giant wolf. It had solid black fur, deep as the deepest night. It had
wide-wild eyes and long yellow fangs. It outweighed and outsized Gebble by
several sizes, yet it answered his commands willingly. Its tongue lulled out
of it's mouth giving it a rather goofy appearance, as goofy as it appeared
deadly. It was already trained, already saddled, it was clearly someone
else's mount, yet it came to Gebble instead. It made it all the better for
Gebble as he rode away at full speed from the outpost.

You will be called Night. Yes yes yes.

Defender of the Village

Added Wed Dec 11 09:16:42 2019 at level 40:
Gebble enjoys his role as a defender of the Village. He is surrounded by
powerful warriors, living legends. By keeping them alive during war time he
is proving that he is even more powerful than they are because he decides
whether they live or die. He still covets magic and the power it brings,
though he greatly fears and hates it. He channels this hatred into motivation
for his daily living.

He has achieved the pinnacle of goblin training. He has surpassed most other
goblins with his raider training, even learning a few tricks along the way to
make Night and Spinner more powerful as well. So well is his reputation as a
healer of the village, he is even allowed within the walls of Galadon freely
where once he was thrown on his tail.

He continues to praise Rotwang when he shows feats of strength, whether he
hurts the veil of magic with a powerful blow or strikes down a foe.
