Description
Gendley Stormsong is a towering figure, standing over 15 feet tall with
broad, muscular shoulders and a thick, sturdy frame. His skin is a deep
shade of midnight blue, almost black in certain light, and is covered in
thick, coarse hair that runs along his arms, chest, and back. His hair is
a wild, tangled mess that reaches down to his waist in long, tangled
dreadlocks. His face is rugged and masculine, with a strong jawline and sharp,
angular cheekbones. His eyes are a bright, piercing blue, like lightning
bolts frozen in time, and they glint with a fierce intelligence and unyieldin
determination. His nose is wide and slightly crooked, as if it has been broke
and set back into place more than once. Gendley's hands are massive, with
thick fingers rough as stone and calloused from use. His legs are powerfully
sturdy, with thick, corded muscles that ripple beneath his skin with each
step. His feet are large and broad, with calloused soles that allow him to
walk across rough terrain without discomfort.
Around his waist, Gendley wears a thick, leather belt that is adorned with
various pouches and tools. He carries a large, intricately carved wooden
staff in one hand, which crackles with electricity whenever he calls upon the
power of the storm. On his back, he carries a quiver of arrows, each one
fletched with the feathers of a giant eagle, and a mighty bow made from the
horn of a massive beast. Despite his imposing size and fierce appearance,
Gendley carries himself with a sense of quiet dignity and self-assurance,
his movements slow and deliberate, each one speaking to the immense power
and strength that lies within him.
Role
Gendley Stormsong and the call of the wild
Added Sun Feb 26 14:05:23 2023 at level 1:
Gendley Stormsong was once a proud Fisherman, serving Thera in a way that
he believed would bring stability and prosperity to the world. He was once a
royal guard, in love with the idea of combat and victory, but he gave up the
pains of war to find a simple life of fishing and family. He had a loving
wife and two young children who were the center of his world. They lived in a
small fishing village on the coast, where Gendley would often take his family
out to sea for a day of fishing and laughter.
But everything changed when the empire decided to expand its territories and
claimed Gendley's village as its own. The Imperial Army ships came in the
middle of the night, their cannons firing and their soldiers pouring onto the
shore. The villagers tried to fight back, but they were no match for the
well-trained soldiers and their advanced weaponry. Gendley's home was burned
to the ground, his family taken captive, and he was left for dead. He managed
to escape and fled to the safety of the stormy seas, where he prayed to the
ancient gods of the storm and Thar-Eris for vengeance and guidance.
Days turned into weeks, and weeks turned into months, but Gendley could not
shake the image of his family being taken from him. He searched for any sign
of hope, any place where he could find solace and perhaps even a way to bring
his family back. But as he sailed farther away from his village, he realized
that the world was not as just and kind as he once thought. Everywhere he
turned, he saw the ruins of once-great civilizations, now reduced to rubble
by the greed and arrogance of men.
Gendley began to lose hope. He prayed less and less to the gods, feeling that
they had abandoned him in his time of need. He started to see himself as a
lost soul, wandering the seas with no purpose or destination. Weeks passed,
and Gendley grew sad and weary. He had lost all hope of finding his family or
avenging their deaths. He had become a shadow of his former self, no longer
the proud fisherman he once was.
But one stormy night, as he lay on the deck of his ship, he heard a whisper
in the wind. It was a voice he had not heard in years, but one he recognized
immediately. It was the voice of Thar-Eris, calling to him, beckoning him to
come home. Gendley felt a spark of hope ignite within him. Maybe, just maybe,
he could find a new purpose in life. Maybe he could find a way to honor his
family and bring justice to those who had wronged them.
With renewed vigor, Gendley set sail towards the voice in the wind, towards
the promise of a new beginning, and towards the refuge of Thar-Eris.
Stormy waters and the misty Altar
Added Sun Feb 26 14:15:02 2023 at level 1:
The storm was ever present to test Gendly, and it roared to life to test him
once again. As he felt the pull of Thar-Eris, the storm would knock him away
to see if he would give up and turn back, but he pressed on. Now aimless, he
braved the storms and battled the mighty ocean. Slowly losing his bearings,
he fell off course, the clouds obstructing the stars to guide him.
Gendley Stormsong was lost at sea for what seemed like an eternity. He had
lost all sense of time and direction, his hope dwindling with every passing
moment. But as fate would have it, he washed up on the shore of a mountain
jungle, battered and bruised but alive. As he stumbled through the dense
foliage, he felt a strange sense of familiarity. He felt as though he had
been here before, but he couldn't quite place why. As he pushed on, he
stumbled upon a hidden shrine, buried deep within the jungle.
The shrine was dedicated to Baerinika, the Spearmaiden. As Gendley read the
teachings in the shrine, he began to feel a renewed sense of purpose. He
remembered the teachings of Thar-Eris, and the call to fight for what one
believes in. He remembered the strength and nobility in combat, and the rush
that came with the call of the wild. The words of Tolgrumm Hammerhand,
priest of Baerinika, gave much insight to Gendley about the Spearmaiden.
With newfound confidence, Gendley set out to find his family. He knew that
they were likely enslaved, or worse, dead, but he couldn't rest until he had
found them and either free them or give them a proper burial. The hope in his
heart swelled to life once more. He prayed to Baerinika for guidance and
strength, and he felt her presence guiding him as he journeyed through the
jungle.
As he pushed deeper into the jungle, he encountered many challenges and
obstacles. He fought vicious beasts and overcame treacherous terrain, but he
never lost sight of his goal. He knew that he was on the right path, and that
Baerinika was with him every step of the way into the heart of the refuge.
Prayer for Family
Added Sun Feb 26 14:17:15 2023 at level 1:
Oh mighty storm, have you heard of my people? We are a powerful race who
reside deep within the oceans and our empathy for the struggles of mankind
run as many fathoms. We spend our youth in prayer within the eye of you, and
this has given us great fortitude against your lightning. Our loyalty is
unwavering, and with our allies, our heart and blade shall always stay true.
We may seem impulsive at times, but we act with the greater good in mind. Even
our bluish-green skin and hair are reminiscent of the colors of your own
power. Perhaps you could spare a moment to recognize and honor we formidable
beings who share your love for lightning and the natural world. Help my
family, I beg of you.
Prayer for Baerinika
Added Sun Feb 26 14:19:25 2023 at level 1:
Oh powerful storm, have you heard of the elven maiden Baerinika and her
devotion to combat and righteousness? She embodies the virtues of fighting
for one's beliefs and triumphing over enemies, and her followers take a harsh
stance against the wretched forces that threaten their homes and lives.
Courage to stand and fight for one's beliefs is paramount to Baerinika's
faith, and there is no compromise in her religion. She is often thought of as
barbaric by those who feel the wrath of her holy spear and as righteous to
those whom she considers comrades. Her dedication to purity of purpose,
integrity of spirit, and strength of arms is unwavering. Perhaps you could
spare a moment to recognize and honor the power of Baerinika's faith and her
unwavering commitment to combat and righteousness.
Song to Baerinika
Added Sun Feb 26 14:26:48 2023 at level 1:
Oh, Baerinika, spearmaiden of the storm
I call to you, my heart forlorn
I've traveled far, across the sea
To find your shrine and bend the knee
Baerinika, Baerinika
Hear my voice, I pray to thee
Baerinika, Baerinika
Guide my path, set my spirit free
I've lost my family, in the midst of war
Their fate unknown, forevermore
But in your shrine, I find new hope
And strength to carry on and cope
Baerinika, Baerinika
Hear my voice, I pray to thee
Baerinika, Baerinika
Guide my path, set my spirit free
Your teachings resonate within my soul
I feel your power, I am whole
With your guidance, I will not falter
I'll journey forth, through any alter
Baerinika, Baerinika
Hear my voice, I pray to thee
Baerinika, Baerinika
Guide my path, set my spirit free
Oh, Baerinika, I thank thee
For showing me the way to be
May the storm and wind be at my back
As I follow the path you track.
Song to Thar-Eris
Added Sun Feb 26 14:28:21 2023 at level 1:
Oh Thar-Eris, great and wild,
Your beauty leaves me beguiled,
Once your land was pure and free,
Now it's broken, can't you see?
Oh Thar-Eris, hear my cry,
I'll restore you or I'll die,
I'll fight for your glory,
To undo what's been done to thee.
Your mountains and your forests tall,
Your creatures once roamed, now they fall,
Your rivers and your streams run dry,
Your skies no longer bright, but shy.
Oh Thar-Eris, hear my cry,
I'll restore you or I'll die,
I'll fight for your glory,
To undo what's been done to thee.
The Ancients watch us from afar,
Their powers waiting to be unbarred,
We must heed their ancient call,
To mend the wounds that we've let fall.
Oh Thar-Eris, hear my cry,
I'll restore you or I'll die,
I'll fight for your glory,
To undo what's been done to thee.
Oh Thar-Eris, my heart aches,
As I see the scars on your face,
But I promise with all my might,
To restore you to your former might.
Oh Thar-Eris, hear my cry,
I'll restore you or I'll die,
I'll fight for your glory,
To undo what's been done to thee.
Ballad of Baerinika
Added Thu Mar 2 17:55:33 2023 at level 24:
Baerinika, mighty spear-maiden
Born of thunder, lightning, and rain
Her power echoes through the mountains
And fills the valleys with her name
Her spear is swift, her aim is true
None can stand before her might
She strikes with lightning from the blue
And shatters darkness with her light
With every step, the earth does quake
Her voice like thunder, loud and strong
She brings the storm, and in her wake
The land is reborn, free from wrong
Oh, Baerinika, fierce and true
Protector of the wild and free
We lift our voices up to you
And sing your praises to the sea
May your spirit ever guide us
Through the darkness and the night
And with your power beside us
We will rise up to the light
Baerinika, mighty spear-maiden
Born of thunder, lightning, and rain
We honor you, our guardian
Forever and always, in your name.
A Song of Greater Virtue
Added Sun Mar 5 12:21:02 2023 at level 35:
In the jungle deep and wide,
Where dangers lurk and fears reside,
Gendley Stormsong walks with pride,
In service of the spearmaiden's side.
With faith unwavering and strong,
He faces trials both short and long,
Trusting in Baerinika's song,
To guide him right and keep him from wrong.
In acts of charity, he does abound,
Helping those in need, oftentimes found,
Providing aid with a heart unbound,
In the name of the spearmaiden, he's renowned.
Fortitude is his shield in the fray,
Against foes who seek to block his way,
With spears at the ready, he does slay,
And honors his vow day by day.
Temperance is his mark of grace,
In all things, he keeps a steady pace,
Neither too fast nor too slow in the race,
Guided by Baerinika's embrace.
Retribution is his justice true,
For those who seek to harm and subdue,
He strikes with force, steadfast and true,
In the name of the spearmaiden, a hero through and through.
Hope is his beacon in the night,
A guiding light in times of fright,
For in Baerinika's love and might,
He finds the strength to persevere and fight.
A Search Within
Added Tue Mar 28 19:40:28 2023 at level 51:
In Sitran's mines, a hero stood,
A storm giant brave, Gendley by name,
With heart of gold and faith so good,
He sought to end the slaves' cruel pain.
The storm giants, enslaved and chained,
Welcomed Gendley with open arms,
But as they talked, his heart was pained,
For news of wife and child brought harm.
No word of them, no sign or trace,
His heart felt heavy, filled with woe,
But still, his faith, a guiding grace,
Gave him strength to rise and go.
He vowed to fight for greater good,
And end the slavers' wicked ways,
To fight for those who once withstood,
And bring hope to their darkest days.
With tears in eyes, and heart so sore,
Gendley set forth to make things right,
To find his loved ones, evermore,
And guide them through the darkest night.
His faith and virtue shone so bright,
A beacon in the darkest hour,
And with his heart, a guiding light,
He vowed to rise with all his power.
The Holy Mark
Added Mon May 8 09:09:44 2023 at level 51:
In the sacred mists of Baerinika's grace,
Where chosen souls find their rightful place,
The honor bestowed, a mark divine,
A testament of virtue, radiant and fine.
The Holy Mark, a mystical art,
Ink of purest quality, a work of sacred heart,
The black jaguar, lithe and strong,
Symbol of power, where courage belongs.
The ink, a living essence, seems to breathe,
As the jaguar's form emerges, beneath,
Muscles ripple, teeth bared in fierce might,
A creature of grace, a symbol of light.
The jaguar's eyes, radiant and pure,
Glow with a white light that will endure,
Guiding the chosen, with wisdom untold,
A beacon of hope in a world so cold.
Whiskers shimmer, a glimmering yellow,
A touch of divinity, a blessing to follow,
And the claws, glowing white and bright,
Ready to defend, to protect with all their might.
Upon the shoulder, the mark finds its place,
A plain display of the chosen's embrace,
By Baerinika's grace, they are claimed,
Forever marked, forever named.
For those who bear the Holy Mark,
A duty entrusted, a sacred embark,
To uphold honor, to vanquish all wrong,
In the name of Baerinika, fierce and strong.
So wear it proudly, this symbol of might,
The Holy Mark, a beacon in the night,
For in its presence, the chosen will stand,
Defenders of truth, in Baerinika's hand.
Gendley's last song
Added Mon Jun 12 16:04:55 2023 at level 51:
In the realm of ancient trees so grand,
Gendley, the Sunwarden, took his stand.
A faithful servant, a priest of might,
Bearing Baerinika's holy light.
With staff in hand and heart ablaze,
He led the wardens through tangled maze.
Protecting forests, defending the weak,
Guided by virtues, humble and meek.
But as his journey neared its end,
A mystic ritual, a message to send.
Gendley's hands grasped a harp so fine,
Strings that sang of the divine.
With gentle touch, he plucked each chord,
A melody to please the Primeval Lord.
Motes of life danced in the air,
Fairy-like creatures, so delicate and rare.
They spun and twirled, a mesmerizing sight,
In harmony with Gendley's final rite.
On the last note, his eyes lost their glow,
As a mote emerged, a radiant show.
Two motes appeared, reunited in grace,
A moment of brilliance in sacred space.
Gendley's body embraced by the earth,
A birchwood sapling, a symbol of rebirth.
Silence fell upon the forest's embrace,
Nature mourning in that sacred place.
Then, the woodlands awoke with joyous sound,
Life's symphony filling the air all around.
The Primeval Spirit nodded, content,
A grateful farewell, their souls now spent.
The figure of a jaguar, regal and wise,
Disappearing into mist, with sorrowful eyes.
Gendley, the Sunwarden, now part of the land,
His spirit lives on, a guiding hand.
In the realm of Baerinika's eternal grace,
His legacy cherished, a sacred embrace.
