Description
A mountainous behemoth drudges through the world, his darkened armor weighing
him down but not deterring his determined stride. Fiery orange spikes of hair
jut outward from his thick-skinned skull, a fad amongst fire giant youth to
mix lava with their hair for this effect, matching the deadly spikes that
pepper his armament. Ebon skin wraps and tightens around bulging arms, with
cropping of crimson hair streaming like molten rivers that run between the
canyons of his muscle. Grasped tightly are his tools of diplomacy, weapons of
pain and anguish, that have definitely bathed in blood before. Beyond the
various bags and ingredients of his trade, one oddity stands out: magical
scars mar both wrists, the flesh grey with death and charred below the muscle
completely around his arms, You're not exactly sure what caused the marks
but the pain from such a procedure is obvious. Looking further you notice...
Role
The Tainted "One Law"

*scrying the mind of this giant, his soul resists your divine efforts...the
only useful knowledge pried from him is the history of his past*
Growing up in the volcano society, everyone knew the One Law - simple and
justified, those with strength ruled but over time the rulers wanted to keep
their power. Kings and queens alike began to speak of their immortality, that
the strength to become a god was theirs. They "blessed" their followers into
positions of power, their praise become law. But there was a slow uprising in
the youth of the volcano that saw them for their truth - they were nothing
but mortals. Every "god" was just a mortal with power and it was obtainable
by any that wanted it. Whom are they to demand of us anything? We will take
them down and show them their weakness!
One child lead this effort and was awarded this position for his continual
punishment. Countless "clerics" would extend their "judgment of divine
retribution" with their tools of torture. The child spent most of his life
cursed by such gods, learning and growing in prison only because they dare
not kill such a young outspoken child....at least one with royalty in his
blood. As he grew older, he knew he must flee his homeland - he held no
training that would withstand the "Gods" and knew he would fall. To avoid
bending a knee and with the aid of a doubtful kin, he fled among the crates
of the Crimson Fire ship and landed in Hamsah to begin to see more blasphemy
and people spouting of "the Gods". Searching silently, he found a guild to
accept him. They spoke of using the divine, but he knew the truth - all who
use it, bow.
This time, they would bow to him.
Fallen

Over the years growing into maturity, this once young fire giant has fell
into a slump of life. Without family and friend, bad habits have taken hold
of the giant and in moments of weakness and opportunity he has used that
which he has hated. Even finding himself justifying use of one priest to kill
another, the depression has settled in from lack of direction and driven him
to a fierce solitude known only by a fire giant. He would reside in his magic
for many years alone, find himself whole, and cast away that which has
tainted his soul.
The task given by Twist to slay those of the faith would continue but he
would not risk damnation of his goal.
A moment in time

"You...can't....catch....us..."
Gripping the axe tighter, his anger flows through his demonic grip and
silences the child-like melodies that harass his dreams. Groggy from lack of
rest and the constant paranoia of power, Ghrovash draws upon the screams of
the damned trapped within his axe to rise to a stand. Rubbing his neck he
ponders the implications of what's happened lately:
-The meeting with Twist and the lack of ability to finalize a kill of a
priest has caused one lowly soul of a paladin to taunt him from his axe every
moment he rests. More than once in anger has Ghrovash made bad choices and
gone beyond what he should to finish those of the divine.
-After relentless assault, the adversary Cuchok has fallen forever. After
constant fights with a few lost, the kill was sealed that would change the
life of Ghrovash. Power had been bestowed in his weapon, power he had dreamed
of but what held him fast was not a fascination but the lesson he learned
when Cuchok killed himself forever. He vowed despite any loss of power he
would never give up. It would not compromise his goal against the Divine.
-Learning that most consider him dumb and underestimate his intelligence, the
lies of the seekers of faith has become a lesson for his own use. Saying
whatever necessary to gain an ally, or more importantly one less enemy,
Ghrovash has turned those he's killed into safe friends. He also avoids
breaking the Law when he'll be caught, more from the annoyance than any real
reason - it limits him and patience wins against the Law.
*after your pry, his soul resists the attempts to delve further - seems it
was but a moment of weakness given from his distractions*
Success

*you begin to see the twists of magic coming from the Consortium, the power
wielded by none other than Twist drawing your attention*
Twist yells 'Wweellll, tthhaatt sshhoouulldd ddoo iitt!!'
The spirit shackles around Ghrovash's wrists fade, the child-like voices
disappear as Ghrovash rises. Rising in pain, it seems that which reminded him
of his imprisonment is gone. The following discussion is muddled from your
ears, the fierce distaste of the Divine holding your scrying attempts at bay
but one thing carries on as if he wants the world to know, it's sound echoing
clear through the planes...
"....Portal open with death of God......you show how kill God."
