Description
Dessicated of all bodily fluids, the wispy frame and tiny figure could
not be alive. This smaller, humanoid figure before you is covered
completely in beige wrappings. Upon those wrappings are intricate runes
scrolled from blood, and a black tinitures. Red, eye-like lights shines
dimly from behind wrappings as an eire crimson smoke oozes from the
bandage. This mummy is covered in mystical armors and robes. The
slightly sweet and acrid aroma in the area is indicative of an embalming
process. Because there is no living flesh to watch and observe, it is
difficult to understand or know what the mummy will do. With a shiver of
horror you note that...

Chapter 1 - The Late Bloomer (Part 1)

"Itll be okay in time," said the priest, "sometimes the gods wish us to
walk other paths. Motherhood is simply not your path."
The words crushed down upon Ginni like a massive cascade of water. She
felt cold, wet, and most of all, numb. She could only stare down at the
blood-soaked gown.
"Why?" her thoughts screamed to heavens!
What no one knew was that she was afflicted by a jealous spirit to never
bare children, and Ginni could not understand how one would be so
misfortunate to have four miscarriages. She had refused to believe the
medical professionals when they told her it would not be possible. The
fourth loss had been the saddest and most mentally damaging experience
for Ginni. It confirmed what she didnt want to believe. Ginni would
never have children of her own - a devastating truth and nightmare for
most women.
Ginni rose to her feet in a catatonic state and headed for the door. She
paid no mind of cotton dress still stained with blood.
As she opened the door, the priest called out to her calmly, "Stop, you
cannot go out in this weather." But she did not hear him and stepped out
into the pouring rain. She quickly became soaked as plodded towards
home. The tears were instantly washed away by the rain. That was all
the emotion that she could muster. No sobs or crying, just tears.
Her husband found her wandering outside their apartment a few hours
later, damn and pale. He did his best to comfort her and cope himself
with coming home from the Seaport to find out his wife has long another
child.
Ginni was never the same after that day. The man Ginni thought to be her
partner, her love, her soulmate, found it hard to cope with this reality
that he could never have a son. One day he never came back from a
shipping voyage. She was alone.
The loneliness was amplified by the women of the city. Ginni, being a
woman in her mid-twenties, with no education utilized the oldest
profession to keep herself fed and sheltered. Ginni was cut to the quick
by the women of the villages catty gossip about Ginni being unable to
keep a man, their condescending discussions on raising children, their
empty offers for help through her troubles. She was a woman of infamy in
Hamsah Mutazz.

It was her profession that opened her eyes to the depths of sentient
creatures. Their carnal embraces for money in order to sate themselves
for their personal pleasure was eye opening. Her exploits grew, and many
began to seek her out. This growing reputation had the opposite effect
though. She began to despise the leers and wants of others. She sought
her own pleasures. Over time, the sting of the local womens actions
became nothing to her. She embraced doing what she wanted and needed to
do. No one was going to tell her what or how to do anything.
It was on a stroll through the market that a cold breeze pressed a paper
to her leg, it was an advert that she could read yet, but the drawing
shows a black figure raising a dead corpse back to life, or undeath.
This instantly spun her imagination. Vision of her raising the dead and
gathering them around her. If she couldnt have children, she could
raise a different kind of children. "This would certainly shut the women
up in front of me then," she said with a cackle!
Removing herself from the limelight of ill repute was simple, and she was
smart enough to know that she couldnt simply walk away. That would only
increase the desire for what they couldnt have. Instead she stopped
bathing, grooming, and wearing anything that was attractive. She would
become disgusting to others. Soon after they forgot about her, and she
them.
Learning to read was a difficult task, and when she couldnt read, she
had to fake that she could until she learned how. In the shadows, and
during the day (when most necromancers sleep off their nightly studies),
she gained knowledge. Once able to pass the entrance exam, she did so
with the confidence of a woman of ill repute enticing a mark. Great
success!
Chapter Two Holding in the Rage - Doting Mother of Undead
Added Thu Oct 10 02:18:51 2019 at level 35:
Whenever Ginni looks back upon her life before necromancy she become
enveloped with anger. Though she doesnt vent it well, to those astute
and knowledgeable they will see that she has deep seated anger stemming
from the women of Hamsah MuTazz, the loss of her four children, her
ex-husband. Women attempt to leverage the power of their spouses
position as if it were theirs, particularly enrage her. When hears women
talking about how hard it is to raise their child get will imagine
dissecting the woman. Ginni thinks to herself, "What does that woman
really know of hardship?!" They have their child. When she sees doting
husbands she wants to simply kill them. Those men are fake, and vile to
her!
This frustrations bottles up and is focused through her spell mastery.
The subconscious outlet to her rage thats bottled in. Often when
something goes wrong with her spells, shell curse and fume, and scream.
This is especially true of her passion, her undead.
To Ginni, the Undead are her children and she their mother. And why not?
She gave her time, energy, and power, to bring these creatures into
being. She cares for them, making sure they remain intact, and strong.
She is often seen caressing her zombies, grafting everything she finds.
As a mother as well she dotes on them and brags about how well they
listen and how strong they are. They are her pride and joy. This is
why, when she is raising the dead she become quite upset when the
embalming fluid spills upon the corpse and destroys it, the animation
process fails and destroys the corpse, or when the energies controlling
the zombies become entangled and none of them respond to anything. This
will send her off into an enraged tantrum for a while.
Chapter Three The pursuit of an Aztezul Apprenticeship (Part 1)

A cold air wafted into the guild halls, and a strong stench of death
wafted along with it. With a shiver, Ginni was torn away from her
studies and looked up from a book on necrotic rituals. A tall
wraith-shrouded figure had entered to speak with the Guildmaster. For
some reason this being was making her pulse race.
She uttered the cantrip to detect magic, and was nearly blinded by the
sudden blinding vision of the raw magical prowess of this archmage! A
torrent a mana flooded them. Slowly as her eyes began to adjust to the
archmage she sensed more in the room, she uttered the infravision cantrip
and realized the zombies, golem, construct, and ghoul hovered on the
periphery of the room, obediently in the shadows. With her mouth agape
she stared back at the archmagus and began dissecting what she saw. This
shrouded being was not just powerful, they were beyond mortal! This was
a mummy! A necromancer of legend had come! She distractedly went back
to her book of necrotic rituals. She maintained a peripheral vision on
the mummy. So in awe of it, she barely memorized a single ritual.
Neither the guildmaster nor the mummy paid her any notice. A novice of
necromancy was a waste of their time.
Mages unclenched the robes they had been shivering in as a warmth settled
back into the guild. Like a vacuum, the cold air was sucked out of the
guild with the leaving of the mummy. Sparing not a moment, Ginni rushed
over to the guildmaster and inquired as to the mummy. At first, the
guildmaster bade the apprentice mind her own business, but Ginni was
adamant about knowing. That is when she learned of the Provost of the
Blood Tribunal Aztezul, Mummy Lord. From that moment forward Ginni laid
plans to grow in enough strength and knowledge to become an apprentice
under Aztezul. She would learn from a true master, and not from
guildmasters who would never work up the courage to become. Cowards, the
lot of them.
Chapter Four - The pursuit of an Aztezul Apprenticeship (Part 2)
Added Thu Oct 10 10:48:49 2019 at level 35:
It wasnt long before Ginni was before the Provincial Magistrate Farghol,
who asked only two simple questions. Do you know the laws, and why do
you want to join the Tribunal. Yes, I do, and I wish to work under the
great Provost Aztezul and learn all that I can from him. Satisfied with
the Candor and passion of Ginni, he initiated her with a laugh. She
started her first posting in Seantryn Modan, a large, bustling, albeit
remote, city.
As expected of peons and leadership, it was some time before she saw or
was even able to speak with the Mummy Lord. He was doing provincial
inspection when Ginni saw him again. His attention came to her when she
was inspected for her administration of her posting at Seantryn Modan.
Accepting of her skills and competence he reassigned her to her old
hometown, Hamsah MuTazz. Interestingly enough, none recognized her at
all as the woman of the night she had once been, or if they had, they
kept it to themselves.
After establishing herself in her new post she went before the Provost
again in private audience. She supplicated herself before him and
requested that she be taken on as his apprentice and vowed absolute
devotion, and adherence to his teachings. To which the only
confirmation she ever received was, Perhaps. That was all she needed
though, from that moment all she always calls him master in private
conversations and Provost in public. None are aware at the in depth
training she is receiving from the Mummy Lord, but her skills are growing
by leaps and bounds. A fact that has her completely devoted to Aztezul
in all things. She would sacrifice her life for him without question,
fully believing that he would raise her up in undeath.
Chapter Five - Beyond the Apprenticeship (Part 3)
Added Thu Oct 10 10:50:28 2019 at level 35:
With apprenticeship well underway a vision for her future is beginning to
manifest for herself. Her Master has informed her that if she wishes to
attempt the becoming she must understand positions of power better, and
that she needs to earn the Provincial Magistrate position that is
currently unoccupied. This is her stepping stone towards her becoming.
In her visions current state, she will gain the strength necessary to
attempt the becoming under the watchful eye of Aztezul. When this is
successful she will grow, and expand her control over her children, bring
as many of the undead as she can under her fold. To have such a vast
control over the world of undead that she would be known as the Mother of
Undead. With this strength she will happily be the Queen to the Mummy
Lord Aztezul. For now though, she must make her next step. Provincial!
Chapter Six- Note to Aztezul -The Position of Provincial

***An insight into the current mind of Ginni Ebonheart***
Provost - My Master,
You know that my service to you in unconditional. It is my hope to glean
knowledge and build my own strength from your example. To that, my
fealty is undying.
To our New Order, it is a vision of brilliance. We are the governors of
our cities, as the name Magistrates implies we take management and
leadership over our geographical areas, It was a parasitic belief that
the Tribunal is a civil service. It was forever draining us of our power,
our capabilities, and blinding us to Spire's true purpose. It was a
weakness that gave power to savages and empowered them to think that they
can break our laws and run away.
Our judgement carries the weight of the world as you said. It is not
hubris to understand the weight of that power. It is folly to bind it
under the light as it has been done for so long. The
holier-than-thoughs, and the malcontents wish to belittle and diminutize
power so that they can attempt to control it. But we shall not be
controlled in these ways anymore, from this age onward, we will be
unshackled from this egregious burden. We will show the world that we are
the ones who run the world, who provide judgement and strength.
Cronyism is also a parasite that takes up power and resources it is
improperly using, either through incompetence or ignorance. That is why
I will take up only mantles that I have earned. I have put much time
into my Post, but time does not equate to skill. What I can show is that
I have never been idle in my post, always learning, always moving upward.
Through your guidance, I have learned three of my greater undead, the
Pumpkin Man, the Akith Weh, and the Carrion Ogre. I have perfected my
craft to mirror the example of my Master these are no small tasks, you
are aware. They require insight, perseverance, dedication, and most of
all judgement. All the things that the position of a Provincial
requires.
It is my vision to obtain the 40th rank quickly and effectively after I
have fulful the task requested to me by the Captain of the Muse. From
there I will master the power words as you did. After that I will grow
to become a Spectre, and being research in the path of becoming. While I
have a vision of a future beyond the becoming, I will not allow hubris
and wanton to cloud my vision of the present and the task at hand.
Again, in your desire of all things, I am to be of service. Speak your
will and I shall seek to make it so with every fiber of my being.
Your apprentice,
Ginni Ebonheart
Magistrate, Hamsah Mu'Tazz
