Description

A strange looking, extremely hairy shag of a being stands before you. His body is covered in a multitude of grays, whites, and blacks. His fur, if that is what you call it, as its much thicker than body hair, dominates every part of his body. His facial hair is very long and drawn out, hanging very low from his face. Most of his face itself is covered with this strange hair. Bright, sparkling blue eyes sparkle and shine underneath a matted eyebrow hoods of hair, like tiny ice crystals reflecting the light. His body weight is evident in both size and strength, as well as girth. He has brawn but also a width about him. His sheer image is almost blobulous and disgusting. A strange hairy sight to see.

Role

Gokmokroh, The Flesh

Added Fri Dec 8 18:33:02 2017 at level 31:
A being of the frost giants by flesh, Gokmokroh is, outwardly,
an extremely simple minded frost giant. He is not in any way
robust in his ambitions, complex in his desires, or convoluted
in his ways. He is simple, straight forward, and basic.

Gokmokroh is so simple, his grasp on the common language between
all humanoids is limited at best. He speaks in single words, no
more than three or four in a row before he becomes exhausted
and quiets to attempt to form the next set of words in his mind.
This is not so much stupidity, but a wiring of his mind and
flesh. It is, by its definition, a mentally exhausting task for
him to speak in robust terms. So every word is chosen carefully
and is meant to speak volumes while actually speaking very
little.
(Authors Note: This means that Gokmokroh only can say 3 to 4
words per an actual tick in Thera. This also means his warcry
is a single word, as putting together anything more is just
simply too exhausting).

Gokmokroh hails from the Frozen Gorge, but his involvement
with his caste and clan is non-existant. His childhood was
patterned in simple eat, drink, sleep, shit, repeat. This
was his way until he was old enough to fend for himself. From
there he wandered off from the Gorge, in essence, guided by
some unknown Spirit. The spirit has a pull to it, and Gokmokroh
and his simpleness gave over to it and so the adventure begins.
The spirit guides as one with flesh, Gokmokroh to begin his
trek of the hunt, the track, and the kill.

Gokmokroh, the Spirit

Added Fri Dec 8 18:33:42 2017 at level 31:
What is the spirit within Gokmokroh? What gives life to his frozen
flesh and pushes him forward? Some spirits are old, some are
new. Some have purpose, while others, the purpose is to wander.
Gokmokroh is a student of the Spirit. Gokmokroh's spirit has
chosen to forsake the civilized. To avoid, in almost all forms
putting effort toward its sharpening. Instead, all energy
of Gokmokroh is pointed toward being the beast of the wilds.
He does not bother himself with the cities in that he actually
dislikes cities greatly. Dislike may not be the best word
but perhaps better stated as simply not seeing need. It is
if his spirit looks past what is there, to what should be
there and mourns it, and stays away from it out of sadness.

Within that is a true feeling of Loss. It is hard to explain
the loss Gokmokroh has. It represents itself as an aversion
to the cities, to the point of avoiding them completely. But
the Loss itself is much deeper. The discovery of that is still
in progress, but his simplicity of flesh and his spirit
mourns the Loss as if it has experienced this destruction of
the wilds firsthand as they were turned into civilized scapes.

The Torn Spirit, Ergush and Rahsael

Added Fri Dec 8 18:35:15 2017 at level 31:
Gokmokroh is a true student of the path that the Lord Ergush
represents. He is not a driver of the path, but a walker of
the path. The path is there, the Spirit senses it, but no one
knows it, but it is there. Only Lord Ergush knows it. What
is decided upon, above Gokmokroh, will happen. Gokmokroh
simply reacts and pushes forward blindly (from his side) down
the path he is meant to be on.

But the influences of Lord Rahsael weigh also heavily on
Gokmokroh. For Lord Ergush knows the path, and Lord Rahsael
helps the Spirit find and recognize the path. Gokmokroh,
at this point, is walking the path blindly. But he needs
both for him to find his potential and become aware of
what the Spirit truly wants.Gokmokroh is lost in the fog
in a way, and will it be the Darkened Lantern or the
Carved Bones, or the "Carved Bone Lantern" that finally
unlocks the Spirit to is potential and awareness it needs
for Gokmokroh's fullest potential.

(Authors Note: This role is meant to be an open invitation
for two or more possible paths to enlightenment of this
character's Spirit. Through Rahsael and learning of Loss
to find Outlanders, or through Ergush, who simply knows his
path and puts him on it to Outlanders. But know that this
doesn't have to be part of the outcome and the result is fluid.)

The Spirit Dreams...

Added Wed Dec 27 11:08:53 2017 at level 40:
Quietly within the caves of the Talshidar, Gokmokroh takes to slumber
only to be haunted by the most terrifying of dreams. It begins
with the feeling of snowflakes upon his face. Something comforting
for both the Spirit and boy. Then all within eyesight is covered
in a blizzard of snow. The wind picks up, howling in Gokmokroh's
ears, but this is not fearful, but there is something else. Another
howl, whisper, quiet, but different than the winds. A deer suddenly
appears, hobbled with injury, and Gokmokroh slays it for eating
but when it is opened, nothing withing but cotton stuffing.

The dream begins to turn. Shadows begin to dance just out of sight,
outside the blowing snow. Gokmokroh begins to run, but the familiar
sound of snow crunching under the feet is not there. Looking down
there is sterile, gray bricks instead of snow. The smell of burning
wood fills the air, and the snow, smeared with black lines of
grime and residue burns the eyes. The snow is no longer snow, but
to the horror of both Spirit and flesh, it is ash as far as the
eyes can see.

The dream opens up to a land filled only with brick and mortar. With
ash launching into the air from brick and steel processing as they
burn wood of untold amounts. The ash fills Gokmokroh's throat and
he collaspes to the ground, gasping.

Out of the swirling ash comes two paths to safety, but each one
goes in completely opposite directions. Everything then fades
to black as the ash and smoke become too thick to see.

Gokmokroh wakes with a horrorified scream. The Spirit within him
has seen its Loss, its greatest fear, and it is coming true. The land
is already beginning to be choked out, and what comes next is
truly remarkable.

Rage, Fury, Vengeance, and a path chosen. Gokmokroh and his Spirit
have found the way to walk. Ergush may have shown the path, but
it is now the teachings of Rahsael that he embraces. Clarity
comes through the reminder of the Loss of Spirit.

The Doll, the Well, and Confusion

Added Wed Dec 27 11:40:59 2017 at level 40:
Gokmokroh approached the Fog where the Lord Rahsael has known
to live. He came upon a few animals and a boy sitting about.
He felt the need to kill the boy, claim his corpse and take it
to offer to Rahsael. He knew to throw it within the well and did
so, and felt an overwhelming joy and happiness. While reveling
in the feeling, a strange doll showed up to speak to Gokmokroh.
The interaction was difficult as Gokmokroh could not put words
together enough to truly express his purpose. He attempted grunting
out simple words and trying to communicate his ways. The doll
did not understand very well, but Gokmokroh felt that there was
something else to this doll. It pierced the veil of language and
looked right at his soul and Spirit, as if the doll itself was
a representation of Rahsael.

Many words spoken. The doll was well versed in the common language
and Gokmokroh struggled to keep up. But the draw of throwing
things taken from others, flesh, objects of importance, things
coveted, down into the endless well haunted him like a fetish.
He could not escape the enjoyment he felt throwing steaks of
those he had slain down. For it was the finality of it. That
it would never hit bottom in this endless pit, but it would also
never be returned, that isolated, and focused true loss. So
many things in this land are recoverable when they lose it, but
anything put here, never came back, ever. It was the only way
to bring Loss, was to bring it here and dispose it within.

The doll finally left off with instructions for Gokmokroh.
Return to explain your loss as best one can with so little
ability with words. Gokmokroh has been trying to think of
a way to speak and show what he felt, and its been very
tough. In the meantime he has felt joy in gutting and slaying
those who are enemies of Rahsael and the Tree, and creating
flesh of them to be disposed of down the well. Gokmokroh
after his meeting with the doll, continued to throw other
sacrifices down the well. This seemed to anger the Doll
and Gokmokroh felt much loss from it. His desire to use
the well and this lesson conflict, he is confused.

Curious Encounter with the Yuan-ti

Added Mon Jan 8 15:55:44 2018 at level 43:
In a quiet encounter in the Tabershaw Keep, a strange, and
massively large witchdoctor of the Yuan-ti arrived. He
spoke little, only that he was in service of divinity and
was tasked in fulfilling a request from the divine to
gain his favor. Gokmokroh was confused, belittled, and
weary, but something of its aura, its place within the
lands, gained Gokmokroh's trust through his Spirit.

The massive beast Yuan-ti spoke little, but got right
to work. Grasping Gokmokroh's jaw, he probed it both
physically and with a divinity of great power. It
search the muscles, the nerves, the tendons, and found
the limiting factors of his mouth.

Suddenly, the Yuan-t said, "This will hurt." With
pain burning and freezing at the time time. A pain
that washes away souls, his jaw flared with agony.

Out of the agony came a cry of anger, "Gokmokroh
Mad!". Two words! Not one, but two! The sudden surprise
on Gokmokroh's face was evident. Something has drastically
changed with his ability to speak.

The Yuan-ti witchdoctor nodded with satisfaction, his
task complete, and said, "Talk little until it heals."
Gokmokroh, stunned, said nothing, and while attempting
to offer something in thanks, the witchdoctor was gone.

What has been healed? What will come next? Right now
Gokmokroh is silent, fearful to break whatever magic
or divinity has attempted to cure his mouth.
