Description

This giant stands fourteen feet tall and moves about with uncommon grace for someone so tall. His legs are long and nearly as big as some tree trunks. The muscles on his arm bulge as he hefts a big polearm. His skin is the color of a deep blue sea and his hair is a pale green that reminds you of seaweed. It is easy to see how this giant could blend in underwater. His blue eyes are huge and take in the whole world around him. A brother's love.

A few more years have passed since Gralbin has left the Loch in search of a
lost brother, and a renewal of hope.  He has slain a few fire giants, but
none would answer his questions about his lost brother. Even in death they
were stubborn and deceptive.  He has not lost hope though, for his dreams
have not changed.  He has found that he can lead again, like he did with his
brother back in the loch.  Gralbin has made it a goal to try and aide those
younger than him to be a beacon of light for them.  He typically only travels
with at least one, if not two, younger friends. He can often be found
sitting on a the snow covered ledge of the Fortress as he was recently
brought in.  He has already made a name for himself among them before he was
even brought in.  The Captain himself had recommended that he be brought in
before he was made Captain.  When Gralbin approached him to speak of
entrance, he said there was nothing left for him to prove.  Gralbin found
himself smiling at manifestation of his beliefs coming through in his
actions.  Leading by action and striking the wicked where they stand.  A
peculiar piece of paper can be seen on the ground.  The scroll is covered
with what looks to be a draft of a poem:

Oh Brother mine, where did thou go in the dark?
The ebony did come and take you from me.
Does your heart ache like mine?
Can you hear the cries of the dark as the wicked are punished?

Dear Brother, do you feel the fire in your heart like I do?
Do you resist the temptations and wiles that are set upon you?
Will you remember your brother when you see him?
In hope I continue to look for you!

Can my beliefs be felt in the dank cell they trapped you in?
Do you feel the hammer stroke as it falls upon the wicked?
Do you have hope that I will come for you?
Do not give up my brother, my friend, my self!

Moved by the poem you are led to tears at the anguish of Gralbins heart.

A Warrior Sets Forth

A few years have passed since the kidnapping of his brother Dralbin.  Gralbin
has consistently been found studying his arts of mace and polearm in the
local warriors guild of the Loch.  To the people of the loch Gralbin is a
hero, but he does not feel that way.  He often walks about the town with a
hood up and his eyes cast downward.  At night he dreams of his brother and
the torment he imagines that he must be going through.  He will often wake in
a panic to find that he bears welts or bruises where he dreamed of his
brother being beaten.  Only this pain gives him hope as he believes that
perhaps, just perhaps, his brother might still be alive, somewhere that he is
unsure about.  It is with this hope that he continues to go to the warriors
guild and train until he can barely hold a weapon.  To train with every fiber
of his being until his muscles burn with exhaustion, just to take up the
training weights and push through his pain.  He is a weapon of the light, and
his hatred of the ebony giants grows in his heart.  To him, there is only one
focus. Destroy the wicked as he looks for his brother.  He has grown old
enough now, the time has come in his mind that he must leave the comforts of
this city and seek out another path.  His father and mother, seeing that he
will not be put off from this path instead give him a few coins and their
blessing.  It is with their blessing and his hope for his lost brother that.
Gralbin now ties the pack of his belongings to his polearm and straps one
mace at his side.  He hefts another mace and his shield and gives one last
look back at his home before he swims out toward the forest path across the
blue waters.  The life that was easy and comfortable in the Loch is no more,
the dangerous world his brother was stolen away into, is all that is before
him.

Brothers of Fire and Righteousness

Gralbin Seasong was born on the Day of Fire in the middle of the Month of
Righteousness according to the Calendar of Storm Giants.  He was the younger
of twins born to Drusina and Dralgin Seasong.  His identical brother Dralgin
the Second preceded Gralbin in birth.  They were an inseparable pair as they
were growing up.  Their father would take them both fishing often, and when
they were not fishing they trained with their father, a master mace and
polearm user.  They were both born larger than most of the storm giant
children and were always admired by the other children. The two brothers
were always chosen as Captains of opposing teams for games like capture the
fishing pole and water ball.  They were always kindly to one another and
rarely fought amongst themselves.  They constantly were being found helping
the younger children to accomplish tasks when their own chores were done.
They would often lead groups of other children about and were always
protective of them.  It was on one of these adventures that Gralbins life
would forever be altered.

One mid-summers day while swimming along with a number of other children
from the Loch the children were confronted with a couple of other giants.
The children knew little of the other races of the land but recognized that
the dark-skinned giants were similar to them in size, if only a little
shorter.  As the group of children approached the seemingly peaceful red
haired giants they were suddenly set upon.  The large giants brandished large
swords and started coming at them.  Gralbin and Dralbin both took up large
fallen tree branches like polearms and defended the other children.  As they
were keeping the giants at bay the other children made a break for the city
and began swimming away.  Gralbin was fighting for his life when he was
suddenly struck in the head by a large rock.  The world began to grow dark as
he looked over at his brother facing off against two ebony skinned giants.
He tried to call out his name as he reached one hand toward Dralbin.  The
world went black.

Awhile later, he could not be sure how long, Gralbins eyes opened to see
that he was staring straight into the dead eyes of one of the dark giants.
He slowly picked himself up from sand of the beach and could see guards
milling about the bodies of many of the dark giants.  He frantically started
looking around for his brother when a familiar hand was laid upon his
shoulders.  He is gone son, your brother was taken.  The guards could not
get to him before two giants grabbed him.  He took down three of them before
he was taken.  Gralbins heart sank in his chest with the news of his
brothers kidnapping.  In his heart he knew that he could have stopped them
if he had not been careless in paying attention to his surroundings.  He
walked back to the city with his father, dejected, and feeling very alone for
the first time in his life.  As he entered the city gates a cheer went up
from the parents of the other children who Gralbin and Dralbin saved from a
horrific fate.  He felt no cheer at the praise, and only walked by them with
his head down.  His father looked upon him with worry in his eyes.
