Description
Your eyes come to rest upon a pale gray skinned figure of about three feet in
height. His tiny body is very thick for his height and his tiny arms and
legs are heavily muscled beneath his leathery skin. Not the most attractive
of creatures this deep gnome has a bald lumpy head and large black eyes above
which rest thick silvery eyebrows. His chin supports a small goatee of the
same odd silvery color as his eyebrows.Looking closer you can tell that the
hands of this diminutive creature are very caloused, most likely from a life
of mining.

Facts about Grarruk
Added Tue Feb 8 20:05:53 2005 at level 6:
I know most people usually put in nice long developed stories for why this
and that is true of their character but well I have not played this character
through any stories of my own yet so I will just outline some basic facts
about him at this point in time in his life with a little bit of the
reasoning behind it so that you can get a feel of where Grarruk is coming
from and his role.
-Grarruk is originally from blidgenstone but was cast out when he was young
for reasons he is not willing to discuss, the end result is he feels no
kinship to any svirfnibli from that city.
-Has a rare ability to not only be able to listen to the earth but to
communicate with it, a rare occurance, this is also the source of his last
name which in the language of stones and mud means walking stone which is
what stones refer to those svirfnibli that can speak with them.
-Grarruk has become in his own eyes a champion of earth, The stones nature
wrath. He has a couple of believes based on things he has learned from
communicating with the stones so think of him as similar to an old school
sylvan but with a number of differences such as he only hunts magic and
imperials and un-natural beings, this does not include minotaurs any race
that has become natural via reproduction in the world, aka minotaurs and
orcs.
-Against magic because it is not a force that mortals are ment to control
only the gods and that man using magic has caused great damage to the stones.
not hunt miners because they dont destroy stone merely change its
shape, and he realizes not all mages deal with magic harming the earth but it
is central to his beliefs that only the gods should be playing with those
forces.
-not against priests because they have the permission of the gods to use such
forces and in that way it becomes natural.
-Against empire because its goal is dominion and attempting to dominate the
stones is something that Grarruk will not stand for. Not against tribunal
because they do not seek dominion merely to protect.
-Against scions because their goal is to destroy all of thera and well thats
not something Grarruk would like to see.
-Sphere rage because he is training to become a berserker, to use his rage as
the most powerful of weapons to forge thera
-he is trained as a miner and seeks to become a blacksmith and his specific
goal in life is to in his words hammer out the impurities of the world, from
his view those are mages, imperials, scions, and people who get in his way of
doing those things.
-Follows Aarn because he seeks to become a blacksmith, his love of crafting
stone has given him reason to learn to craft metal as well.
In summary Grarruk is a villager berserker wannabe who dislikes blidgenstone
svirfnibli, follows Aarn in hopes of becoming a blacksmith of his forge, can
talk to stones, and sees himself as a crusader for the stones and the order
of nature.
