Description
Powerful muscles ripple magnificently on this green-skinned
giant. Wild green hair still seemingly wet from the sea trails
down his back arcing over his broad shoulders. An easy-going
smile graces his face yet by the worn look of his weapons it
is evident this one is no stranger to battle.
His eyes are colored bluish-white like the after-image of a
lightning strike containing the same muted power of a distant
storm. And like a distant storm his every step lets forth a
solid 'BOOM' that shakes the ground and echoes like thunder
itself.
He wears little but a few animal skins and a large sack that
appears to be filled with junk. The last thing you notice
about this young storm giant is that

Fury and Calm

The frothy steeds of the Aryth ocean carried him upon their backs and Grigor
heaved a sigh of contentment as he drifted along enjoying the sun while
waiting for the storm he had spotted a few miles away to reach him.
As the storm loomed closer, Grigor's face becomes more serious and with a
grace matched only by a dolphin, he executed a acrobatic flip in the water
and began to swim towards the storm which now that it was closer appeared
to be a big one. Dark looming clouds began to blot out the warm and comforting
rays of the sun he had a moment ago been enjoying like the very hand of some
God putting it away in a dark sack like some bauble. Lightning strikes
split the clouds on occassion as if some of the light of the sun itself was
still managing to shine between the God's fingers, resistant to being put away.
Thunderclaps like giant drums boomed all around him and Grigor let loose a
thunderous clamor of his own, a huge smile split his face as he passed through
the storm overcome as he always was by this feeling of being a part of
the storm itself, his body forgotten with only the thunder of his own voice
reminding him he was not some elemental force of the sea.
He neared the heart of the storm and his voice became quiet as the storm
itself seemed to become hush with reverance. He spotted others of his kin
finally in the distance. Others like him who worshipped the storm in all
its fury and calm. Now that he had reached the heart he closed his eyes and
prayed. Today was the day when he would leave his native seas to see the world.
As a follower of the Holy Storm it was high time he let loose his bonds
to earth and let the winds carry him where they would. His destiny called forth
and he would meet it with the furious spirit and calm heart of the storm.
A Storm Arrives At The Tree

Grigor's travels had taken him far and wide from the simple forests of
aldevari to the more menacing parts of Silverwood populated by the foul
goblin hordes who he had on occassion had to fight off. Today he stood
before a large tree with a spiralling, organic ramp of thorns winding
around it. In his travels Grigor had heard whisperings of a band of
wildmen who worshipped the Ancients of this world much like he
reverred the Holy Storm. He had come to be curious of them for
in his travels he had seen the pain wrought upon the lands and the seas
by the enroachment of civilization. For him who had spent all his
natural years at sea surrounded by kin to see how much hatred the
world contained. Mostly due to the selfishness and greed that the
works of civilization begat. No orc or goblin was filled with nearly as
much darkness as a single gold coin.
He felt the winds of fate had blown him here to serve these ancients
as a means of restoring the Light that had swallowed whole cities in
darkness. It would mean bloodshed but Grigor was prepared for these
necessities. The Storm spared nothing and no one in its fury, it
swept down in its fury in order to cleanse the world and leave in its
wake not just chaos....but a calm that he who had served the Storm well
likened to that moment of peace that comes when the world holds its
breath as a new life is born.
Such a new beginning he pledged he would bring as he stood before
a majestic centaur with hazel eyes and pledged himself to serve Thar-Eris.
Calm, Fury, and Aftermath

Grigor humbly stood before Captain Neltouda reflecting on her words.
Grigor had traveled far and wide in search of understanding to further spur his
growth so that he could better see what lie at the heart of the Storm. Today
he stood before the captain of Storms herself and pledged in his heart to
take the lessons he had been given and embed them into his life so that one
he would be worthy of bearing the full power of the Storm.
The Captain had imparted to grigor three basic tenets of the Storm.
These were the Calm that came before the Storm.
The Fury of the Storm itself and the Aftermath of the Storm.
Grigor likened these things in his own mind to be symbolic expressions of
Contemplation, Action, and Reflection.
Contemplation or the Calm before the Storm was the period when one should
pray and seek to know the will of the Storm. It was not enough to simply
act out of fury. One should choose their course with care and a sense of
purpose like a sailor guiding their ship to a distant port, they contemplated
the wind and the sun, the stars and the heavans and used their experience
in order to come to corect judgements. This was the beginning of wisdom.
Action or the Fury of the Storm was what came when one chose their course.
The Storm once formed in all its fury had no hesitation within it. Anything
in the path of a storm was either caught up in it or overwhlemed by its fury.
To act with the fury of the storm was to act without hesitation or fear.
To head towards ones goals and sweep those around you into the storm
or to overwhelm them with one's fury if they tried to stand in the way.
Reflection or the Aftermath of the Storm was the period after one had
plotted their course, acted upon their judgements, and either succeeded or failed
where they could once again pray and be brought by the will of the Storm to
to understand what they could do better, why they had failed or succeeded
what the deeper meanings of what had occurred meant, and most importantly
what they had learned overall from their adventures.
Such was what Grigor had leanred today and hoped to apply in the future.
