Description

You see a half-elf in front of you who is taller than a human. His hair is gray, long, his gaze is straight, he does not hide his eyes, but looks at you with a challenge. They were like brothers, Grivs and his friend Grabs. They grew up in an orphanage,
and neither of them remembered who their parents were.
Since childhood, they had been fighting in a friendly way, and the rector of the orphanage
assigned them to the wrestling section. No one wanted to give in to the other in such fights.
They often ran away from the shelter and were caught, they held on to each other,
supported each other. They considered each other Brothers.
They made a vow to each other to always be together.
In battles with each other, they were about equal.
One day Grivs noticed that Grabs took out a bottle from his pocket before the battle and drank it.
Grivs could not get into it, as Grabs began to move faster.
At the same time, his eyes were strangely white and his skin turned gray.
easily won the fight.
What was in your bottle, asked Grivs. This is magic, brother, with it you can be faster,
hit harder and always win, Grabs said. You can't beat everyone, said Grivs,
don't you have enough training? This magic is dangerous, your skin is gray after these bottles.
Yes, finish it, said the brother, we will be invincible.
I doubt it, said Grivs. After this conversation, there was a rift between the brothers.
Someone started stealing money from everyone who lived in the shelter.
Grabs no longer wanted battles. He began to read some magic books and tried to brew potions.
Information reached Grivs that other guests began to take pills, performed some rituals
and read books. Their ex-brother taught them that.
Grivs became depressed, he lost his brother and did not know what to do next until
an incident occurred that changed everything.

Betrayal

He learned that the preparation of pills requires the blood of those who have never used magic.
Murders began in the shelter, everyone was in fear.
Grivs realized that soon it would be his turn. Depression was replaced by hatred.
He wasn't going to give up his life just like that. Hatred gave him strength.
When the goal becomes clear, and you are pressed against the wall,
it remains only to fight to the end. Cowardice becomes Courage.
While in his room, he heard the soft footsteps at the door.
Someone started rustling the lock. The door slowly opened.
People in hoods began to enter the room. Grivs pretended to be asleep.
"Here he is", he heard one of the Dark Ones whisper. Ah, it will be good blood, said another.
Let's hurry up, after all, he was like a brother to me, whispered the third.
We have a goal, there can be no friends here! The magic will prevail!
With this cry, they rushed at Grivs.
Oh, you filthy creatures, shouted Grivs. He began to twist his hands randomly,
hoping to get into their faces. The first fell, the second started running,
the third took out a dark vial and immediately drank it.
-Well, Grivs, - Grabs threw off the hood. Try to defeat me, I drank a potion of Great power.
I'm just invulnerable now and you're going to die.
Grabs rushed at him and began to strangle him. They fought for a long time and Grabs won.
Grivs used the entire space of the room to retreat and attack, but the forces were unequal.
In the end Grabs closed his hands around his neck and Grivs felt that he was going to die.
"At least I'll die brave, thought Grivs". But then Grabs' grip suddenly loosened.
His eyes were completely white. He fell and convulsed.
- That's all your magic, Brother, croaked barely alive Grivs.
- I didn't calculate the dose, help me, Brother, Grabs whispered.
- Can't you see that your magic is destroying you?
- No, magic gives me strength.
- You won't beat anyone now.
A wild scream could be heard in the sky.
"The magic will be destroyed!"
The half-breed, skinny and exhausted, lay helplessly on the ground.
He had the blood of his ex-brother on his hands.

Village

Grivs was lying in the forest all exhausted after the murder. He was throwing up.
He killed a friend. But, however, a drug addict cannot be a friend.
Suddenly he noticed that the bushes were moving.
- Who was shouting here, he heard a rough bass.
- Who is this, Grivs said in fear.
- First you talk, the bushes said.
- I'm Grivs, I've done the irreparable.
While Grivs was talking, he saw how the bushes parted, and a warrior
came out from behind them, hung with branches, like camouflage, to hide in the forest.
"Well, I killed him," Grivs said.
- That's the way it should be with these.. drug addicts.
And, do you think, who is to blame for everything? Magic.
Magic was given to mortals by the gods, but it is perverted and you see what it leads to?
- Yes, I see, so what we can do?
- Have you ever heard of the Village?
- What is that Village?
Ranger talked for a long time about the betrayal of the ancestors, about the army of the
indestructible, who were made invulnerable to magic, and then betrayed, and they hid on Thera.
- And now we have to give the final battle, shouted Ranger, and knocked on
the tree with violent force, the tree broke and fell next to him.
