Description

You see an ugly midget before you, his body and face green, deformed and disgusting. The head is unproportionally large and flattened from the sides. Ears are twice the elven size, covered with dirty red hair. The nose is about three inches long, also with red hair protruding from it. His hair is short, but not because it's cut. It's obvious that long hair falls down from his half-bald head, unable to find strength to grow on this sad joke of a skin. His eyes are dark grey, glinting with greedy expectation. Background

Grokko is of a typical Grinning Skull goblin origin, born in
the filthy slave pens.

Spending all his life wheedling orcs into letting sparing his
life, sparing him junk or food (often being the same).

He lives with the firm belief that he is a slave, and should have
master. But not just any master, but a "good" master. And
being a good master means that master is strong (can protect
Grokko from other orcs), gives Grokko junk and food.

That given, Grokko disdains his despicable state, and while
being sure that he is a slave for all of his life, he loathes
those above him, coveting their strength and treasures.

If someone tries to bully Grokko around, Grokko thinks that
master is bad and will betray at the first opportunity. While if a
master is good, Grokko will betray only at the second opportunity.

Seeing that noone parts with their junk and food for Grokko, he
has developed a delirious course of actions. He attacks random
people, getting their things and coins. And once he takes coins,
he considers that he was given treasures, and therefore the one
who "gave" him treasures is his master.

He will often attempt to help and serve those he has just robbed,
and gets upset if dismissed.

Rotwang and masters

Being branded by Rotwang for his battle prowess,
Grokko now sees the orc behemoth as his ultimate
master who rewards him with his gifts.

That said, his goals have much aligned with those
of Rotwang - in pillaging, killing the elves and
dwarves, and all others alike. He tries to do what
he thinks Rotwang wants of him - burn the world.

Seeing himself as a slave of Rotwang, Grokko started
to see orcs as weak too, but as he wants to have a
strong master, he will test the orcs by attacking
them now. One who is strong - he will acknowledge
as his mortal master (Rotwang being the immortal one).

Striving for freedom

Added Tue Feb 21 15:21:14 2017 at level 30:

Years have passed, Grokko has travelled a lot, looking for his strong
master. Sometimes he has been finding those he considered strong and
worthy of being his masters, like Drahteus the necromancer, only to
betray them a few days later.

Through his travels, he has also met (and subsequently murdered) many
who considered themselves as benevolent. Kerbak the storm giant,
an asket paladin was one of those. He was particularly persistent
in trying to persuade Grokko to abandon his slave behavior and become
free.

While Grokko would never be able to free himself from being slave
of Rotwang, he has started thinking that being a slave to mortal beings
was not something that was good for him. And the main target of his
thinking were orcs, and namely - chieftain of the Grinning Skull Village.

Having set his mind on that in his typical delirious manner, Grokko has
decided that he needed to kill the Chieftain of the Grinning Skulls.
That would make him and the other goblins free from oppression. And they
would instead oppress orcs and beat them as they please. And perhaps Grokko
himself was to become a new Chieftain!

Now all Grokko needed is to become much, much stronger! So that he could strike
chieftain down.


OOC: My goal is to get hero distention and kill chieftain of Grinnig skulls. The
character will consider this an act of freeing himself and taking the fate of goblins
in their hands.
