Description
This stocky and well-muscled duergar doesn't stand that high,
but his feet seem firmly planted on the ground.
His black eyes are as shadowy as his pitch-black hair
and beard and give an impression of self-assured experienced
veteran who is on constant alert and vigilant.
His strong arms with the mailed gauntlet of the Grethar'aran
imprinted on the left one seem able to work any kind of weapon
to a great and effective purpose.
His movements are devoid of anything extraneous, providing
for the most effective way, not the grace or beauty. It seems
highly unlikely he will strike an empty conversation over
a bottle of beer or over anything for that matter.
Role
My youth

I was born in Aran'gird in the Grethar'aran clan. With most
of my siblings I have been participating in the clan wars,
gaining warrior experience in the process. As I became older,
I've started to look around me more closely and came to
the realization that those wars don't make much sense and don't
serve any global goal. The people seemed obsessed with caring
for the basics, with looting and stealing as primary priorities.
Because of the lack of coherent life purpose and also because
of the drive that pushes the young to new and exciting horizons,
I've decided to leave Aran'gird to see what's around it and
to show myself to the whole world. I didn't have anything but
my trusty weapons and some basic clothes, but I didn't intend to
provide for myself via robbery and racketeering because it goes
against the philosophy of truely strong warriors.
That's why I had to fulfill different tasks that many hired me
to perform. My people don't have a good reputation on the outside,
but since I always came to towns by myself and was only looking for
a personal task, I was able to find people that needed just me
to solve their problems. I'm not against even assassinations
if that work is well-paid.
The Empire

After several years of such travels, I've learned my way around
the world and grew, both physically and mentally. New people
and places no longer excited me as they did before, everything was
the same after a time. At that time I felt I needed to make more of
myself, to apply the newly received experience for a more serious
and greater goal.
Then came the fateful day when I met an old priest who sounded what
I couldn't quite get a hold of myself. The thing that matters most
for anyone is to constantly move forward creating something that
has its own value and doesn't die with the creator.
Order is that thing.
I was looking for a way to realise those ideas and Empire looked
to be just the place. Among the people that are bound by harsh
discipline and who are working to create the perfect ordered society
there is a way to create something huge and exciting that no one
person can create just by himself. That thing would stand by its
own worth long after the death of all the people that took part
in its creation. It would progress in time, it would be Order that
always advances itself in the chaos that surrounds it.
Empire is also the perfect place to advance myself as a person
because everyone has just the position that he deserves within it.
It's just the place to learn to better myself, to support the
rigid self-discipline, to learn the new ways of doing things
thus advancing myself through the ranks.
My life has meaning now, I'm rejecting all things that don't
mean anything and am working towards the eternal goal, I'm free
of stupid sentiments and don't feel remorse for anyone or anything
who stands in my way. I just don't have the kind of time to go
around helping anyone who mightneed my help.
