Introduction

Arriving in these lands, I was met with a lot of
anxiety, not knowing where I had ended up after
walking through the Water-Portal.
Thera I was told this place was; but my past is
abit fuzzy and I don't remember much at all before
I showed up to the Academy.
As the Storm moves, so does my desires, passions
and sense of adventure; exploration. I have a
temper problem, but I am a priest-in-learning.
I make mistakes within the Code, but have also
been met by rude and worst examples of the light
like the Elder Prophet Grysaor. A hypocrite and
insulter. But, I will not dwell on the light's
shortcomings. I will embrace what it is to learn
in these lands and live a life my Lord would
be proud of.
I do not seek the Fortress, for Light here is
not as bright as I had hoped. I've considered
the Heralds and even the Spire. But for now my
passions are within myself and helping others
where I can. Protecting others where I excel.
Error and Correction

The time to choose is now, I am older and have spent
time learning errors in my thinking and ways. Learning
more about the Code and becoming more forgiving of the
Light's shortcomings. While I still believe the Light
is failing Thera; I am confident in knowing the innocent
will be protected by me.
In such, I have made the attempt again to pledge to a
noble cause, worthy of my abilities and skill.
Perhaps I also move to the Spire to bring much needed
Light in a very dark place. No mind, though. I can of
course separate my personal feelings and duty at the
same time. Amid it all, the Code becoming even that
more challenging. But a life of a Paladin is suppose
to challenge one, and make them better. We shall see
how it formulates, and perhaps soon I will be a Magistrate.
The Pledge that Sticks

I am a Magistrate now, and considering the long path it
took me to finally find a home, I am grateful and full
of humility.
I pledge to the Spire, to listen and learn before I act;
to honor my duty, respect and protect the citizens of our
great cities.
The Spire took a risk on a young paladin, and I shall
repay in in Folds; in return.
Four Warrants in One Shift

Four total warrants I issued-while investigating another
was exciting. But application to the books from the books
in the Library; I'm an investigator now.
I guess my stars are true and my luck, even more so; I
find the passion in finding my way. Tough start, and
yet I continue to evolve in my code and law. Each of
my mistakes now are met with even swifter correction. I
am even considering applying to become a Provincial.
Keep up issuing four well-deserved warrants in one shift,
I will get the attention of the gods and leaders.
The Self-Reliant and Anti-Social Paladin

What is the best way to avoid conflict? Through
means of my humility and faith; the best methond
as proven to be self-reliance. Other mortals at
times; limit growth of others. I feel limited
within the Spire, surrounded by so much darkness.
The lies from Provincial Pharagon mouth, the bully
Vindicator whom tries to demoralize me every way
I turn. The rest of the flock, followers. What
is a Paladin to do?
I've opted for isolation and solitude. I don't
particularly dislike it either. I can pursue my
passions for exploration and growth; not to include
the mastery of my tactics and prayers.
All of this has helped me to understand better
the virtues that cling to me most:
Faith.
It is what leads me now, my Passion by the god
of the Thirteen.
A number I particularly dreamth about recently
that has inspired my personality and outlook
on life. It was a dream of the thirteen shields
of my past.
Slowly, I recovering my memory; and while it is
fuzzy, Thirteen shields stand out, in a cove
of shining light; then I wake.
It is time to seek Empowerment and perhaps I
may be revealed with who I am an was.
Viera, the Helper or Teacher?

Viera, Viera. Whom are you? Why do you be so
kind to me? Is it that you seek the Light or
is it that you never felt understood?
From the good to the bad, of you helping me
learn the lands, you are also my sworn and
utter enemy. But my mercy seem to be hesitate
with you.
I feel as if I were to mercilessly hunt you
just for your aura, I would be as blind as
the Light. But, instead, I have compassion
for what and who you can become.
Will we fight? Of course, will I lose and
die many times? Likely so; but you are still
different.
Will you be the one that I hone my battle prowl
upon? Or will I fall short and be gone from
these lands forever in defeat. By the luck
of the Thirteen. Your true self, will be one
to be revealed.
The Accomplished of Solitude

I've accomplished much in my growing alone, and honing
my abilities. Defensively, I am to be reckoned with, But
all this finally pays off. I can now explorer the lands
freely and learn all it's hidden secrets; this is what
I always wanted.
I've made considerations for once again, joining
the populace and interacting with others more. But
the fear is apparent. I don't know whom to trust
even now.
Luckily, I have my giant mercenary whom has stuck
with me time after time. Never failed. Could he
be my true adventerous companion?
As I contemplate; I once again get visions. A
marble floor room, with cathedral ceilings,
lit with candles for dim lighting.
There I finally see there shields more clearly
and each now more vivid. Each being a Virtue
symbol of the Paladin's code. Some shields are
better then others, propped up so delicately
with gold handles with etchings of the number
Thirteen.
As I move closer in this vision, I foresee a large
book, placed on a podium. The podium is made with
a marble foundation and silver surface.
Peering into the podium and reading the book, it
all comes back to me, alas; I know whom I am
and where I come from.
A Paladin's Revelation

was not by chance you finally found you way &
prior to this moment, you simply were not
ready.
You were born to a dark family of drows, and
a slave you were to them. As with any master
or dark influence, they poured taint into you
as a child, and you were abused to the degree
that you were forced to be what they wished
and ordered you to be.
But sacrifice was made to free you; my sacrifice
by rescuing you and succumbing to my wounds
in the process. You survived, but took a blow
to the head as we fled, falling down a mountain
in taken in by the Guildmaster of Galadon.
With no knowledge of your past, you merely
acted on what you instinctly knew; but not
anymore. You are a Ghast'el. A powerful beacon
of Light and Passion.
So I leave you with this my grand-son.
Find the Lord Whyisdan, earn your reputation
and once again, bring glory to our home. I

Courage of the Tribunal Shield

Clinched tightly against a gang of enemy, I
hold dear to me none other then the Tribunal
issued shield. It's surface beatem and battered
by the onslaught of the Village and Outlanders
raiding the Spire; yet it survives, it is true
and effective; still holding strong against the
grips of my faith.
Alas, finally the Spire is learning to see
things the way it was meant to be seen. It
is now on display for them, I am a force to
be complimented and acknowledged. But, I seek
neither.
I always been this strong, I always had this
much dedication. My reputation and legacy is
to speak for itself. I am a Ghast'el. I am
the protection of the Thirteen.
Peering intently at my shield, with blood on
the sides of my mouth; dripping continually;
I smile as I count the Thirteen dents in my
Tribunal Shield.
The Conquest of the Thirteen Shields

At my pinnacle, Grandfather Ghast'el words ring
clearer; since finding myself and learning the
Courage and Passion within me, I've applied it
to my faith. Seeking out the lands, slaying
dragons, visiting new places and seeing new things;
to gather the land's most unique shields.
As with the virtues of the Paladin, I've tied
each shield collected to one. Not wishing to
show up to Lord Whiysdan empty handed; beers
and ales is all that's left to intrigue his
interest. Considering my path for the Order and
the Law, I will have to convince him to see
past those ideals; logically they are far from
the chaotic behavior of the drunken. Being one
that is usually in control of all his senses;
I find this to be the most challenging of our
future meet.
The 'Proper' Welcome of Justice to Commander Xzelyx

In my attempt to stand as a liaison between the Spire
and the Village; I awoke on a particular week and
found the Commander warranted. We spoke briefly on
the affairs of the current War and I advocated for
Peace; a virtue of the Paladin some would argue.
After bantering back and forth, I believe both
the Commander and I saw things the same when it
came to the higher threat; that threat being the Scion.
Scion has been quite active in their criminal
engagement and perhaps leveraging the village as
an ally against them would be best for the Spire
in the long-run.
But nothing can be done, while the Commander was himself
warranted. In a glimpse to determining his trust
and conviction to peace; I challenged him to a
duel for his warrant. He accepted, I defeated him
and now we can move on with a possible relationship
in contrast to foe.
Taking his defeat honorably, and with a investigation
seal with approval by the Justiciar. I now know
for sure; I can be a successful Provincial.
Chapter 12 - Doesn't even Matter

Chapter Thirteen - The Ultimate Sacrifice - Evil Is Gone

Battle-tested, and seasoned; still young and fresh, like it
is my first time on duty. But something still feels off
and I cannot take the burden any longer, ignoring it...
I must correct a wrong in my past, I must confess to truly
earn the favor of a Lord of Passion.
Viera - A mistake in my life. I was wrong, I pay penance and
sacrifice the greatest possessions of mine.
Versus and Rogdan - The Willingness I was to at least take
things from them even in times of need, I sacrifice the
greatest possessions of mine.
The Light - To any I've hurted directly or indirectly, I
sacrifice my greatest possession of mine.
To Citizens - To my inability to be perfect and serve you in
the matter you deserve.
To my Passions - I'm sorry it took me so long to embrace you
and feeling the need; I must be powerful to obtain you, I
sacrifice the greatest possession of mine.
To myself for being so stupid before and wiser now, I
hereby in the name of all sins committed; in the name
of the Thirteen and the virtues of my soul....
The possessions known as the Thirteen shields I've
carried, some of the most mightiest in the lands....
I place on the floors of the Faith of Passion and sacrifice
all that I've bled and died for, for none of it comes
close to the pain a white-knight could cause to others
through the spirit and faith. In this I tribute and
sacrifice them all....
Before the ashes, bearing only the one true shield
of them all; that in which truly protects the Light
from the greatest threat, the Drow. The Mithril shield
I shall wield, as a reminder; that I serve the Light
first and everything else; second.
As the Tribunal shield burns in the sacrifice, I
smile and peer out of the Temple.
Chapter Thirteen; the beginning the end; I'm reborn
now my true journey begins. Forged in the fires of light;
I tie my mithril shield to my arm; no backups, no
other plans to defend myself. Just this one shield
and have FAITH that it will see me through the rest
of my life.
Chapter One - It Starts all Over Again - (The Egg Saga - Side Story)

Stumbling over the Temple of shield, I heard a noise, it
was faint, but enough to catch my attention. Peering in
the marble floored room; I saw a shadow. Something hopping
about on it's rear legs, still too fast to account for, I
clench my mithril shield.
To my side, I yell... "Guards"; but no one arrives, hell I
am not on duty, I am not remotely close to allies, and
not even my cabal can help me here.
Rammed! I am, bracing and barely keeping my footing, there
before me revealed a giant black hare, with a evil grin
upon his face. In the same instance, three black eggs and
1 pink one, shot toward me; I blocked the pink one; how
embarrassing would that be to get hit by it?
Thrashing about through the chaos of the now dark room, I
shieldbash the hare and in that moment; he dodges, shooting
another set of eggs at me, this time taking them all to
the face. Blood drips from the corner of my lips. I anger
I toss aside my mace, and pummeled the hare into the floor
and following through with a massive shieldbash; this time
catching him fully. The hare knocked off balance, recuperates
quickly and the battle continues.. hours or hours; most
of my blows being dodged and his fur scorched by the
flamestrikes of my prayer.
Retreating about the room, still remembering; I only have
one shield, the hare nearly split's it with a powerful and
magical bash. Barely holding up, I perform a flank and
followed by a angel wings; my shield splits nearly fully
but still holding together; the hare was defeated.
Out of the corpse popped out thirteen eggs.
From the eggs spewed a image of Sir Ghast'el; congratulating
me on completing a task. Asking for one wish; I peer at my
grandfather....
Sir Ghast'el; I wish for the re-forge of my mithril shield
and in an instance, the shield repaired with the number
Thirteen in the center; now golden and glowing in a pure
white light.
Quest completed; I return to the mainland.
Chapter Two - Mithril Armor Use - A Dark-Elven Hatred

My affinity to mithril is un-matched by any, my hatred
for the dark-elves seem to brew stronger within me. With
my new mithril-forged shield returning to the mainlain, I
have began gathering and researching mithril further. I
find my usage with the material itself, proficient if not
mastered.
Uncovering in my research, explorations and discoveries;
I've found more mithril shields, some engraved and others
less worthy to be forged with my current mithril shield.
None-the-less, I am due for another visit before the Temple
of Passion and with some luck, the Lord Whiysdan can aid
me in melding these objects together. Driven by my hatred
for the dark-elves; it has also contributed to a positive
passion and desire to defend myself best from them and
their offspring of vileness.
While I have no desire to provoke citizens and bring havoc
to the cities of the Tribunal, I do wish to be strong and
overwhelmingly powerful should one cross my path. In my
like I've slain a total of two drows; for it is perhaps
the only race that can never see true redemption.
Chapter Three - The Artifacts of the Light - Is the Fortress Greedy?

Attuned to the Light more myself, then before I
take a rare consideration of something I've known
my entire life.
The Fortress's greed has become overwhelming in
instances where the darkness I feel has found a
crack in their armor and spreads within.
My relationship with the Fortress these days are
better then it has ever been, and one whom has
sacrificed my entire collection of weapons and
shields, freely; I'd me remiss if I did not see
the lack thereof from the Fortress.
I sit and think within the Magistrate's Library
of the mistakes I made and how I continue to get
better; still falling victim to mortality and
short of perfection; even then...
Not even the Fortress is perfect. However, I've
also realized, that in the past; the most powerful
artifacts of the Light I've obtained throughout
my life, I've issued to those of the Fortress
of no charge and/or return expectations. Many
of them dress now with the things I've gathered
or obtained through my explorations and battles.
But there was a blade you see? A very and only
important relic of the light I ever truly valued;
an elven mithril blade that is cursed, found only
in the Dreamlands. This blade was in fact taken
from me by a Frost Giant of the Outlanders that
slew me while I was weak.
This blade ended up in the hands of the Fortress
and not too long after, transfered somehow by
the corrupted and chaotic Lyeeth and his bunch.
Considering I discussed this with them, I've been
met with resistance to return it. But that is fine,
they refused and rightfully so, they are quite
entitled to.
But as I sweep through the lands of various things
of the Light, weapon replacements or items that
can guide me through the darkness of the Spire;
none is available.
I work constantly to discern why?
To my surprise the Fortress not only holds the
most of these items, but also holds multiple in
excess amongst each member. Multiple, shields
swords, and some duplicates. The beauty of the
Blessed Divination.
Unwilling to part with even the duplicates, has
brought yet my concern for them once again. How
am I within a Spire full of darkness, so willing
and able to give my treasures to others of the
light such as Horridyl and Karnix....
And not even the courtesy for the same. I must
step back and consider how to move forward. The
abundance of the Light and it'se gifts are not
mutually exclusive with the needs of the walkers
of Light Vs what I consider not to be a more
Imperialistic version of the Light, as the Fortress.
Turn my hope from the Fortress and their charity
and looking for other methods to once again
spread the graces of the Light; I look to the
Empire.
Chapter Four - The Artifacts of the Light II - Look to the Empire

The Empire holds the second source of artifacts of
the Light. Using m Blessed Divination, it would
suggest that they may even hold the second most
stockpile in the lands. This unlike the selfishness
of the Fortress is unacceptable.
But, how do I remedy this, while also maintaining
the lines of my duty, and political station of
my cabal; not to mention our pledge to the Law
and to an extent; Order?
To off-set this odd balance of resources to the
Light, I've offered a bounty on all items of the
light from the Empire; collected and taken from
the bodies of innocent souls.
I will purchase these items for the greater good
and not for myself; or for my own greed; but to
take what I can use and re-distribute to the
younger and less capable of the Light. I suppose
should be known to the the lands as the:
Gukao Ghastel, Acolyte of Light and Order, Magistrate of Hamsah Mu'Tazz
Perhaps then, I can fill in; where the Fortress
has failed the next generation of lightwalkers. Perhaps
after all my mistakes; I can be a beacon to them
and remind them of their own purpose.
While I do not take my dealings with the Empire
as friendly, their possession of artifacts of
goodness is simply unacceptable.
Why Follow Rules? Just this Once, lets skip the Rest

So I am empowered now and my dear ole Whiysdan has at least
entertained the idea of me bearing his mark; so I think.
Being one of faith and one deserving of faith is yet another
step in my long life here in Thera since I first arrived.

proclamation.. lets just do away with the formalities.

Thirteen
A Return to Duty

As I return to duty, hardened by my experiences and sights
of life, I come with the continued purpose of ascending to
the rank of Provincial. Having earned my lord's blessing
and beginning of the formation of the Party of Thirteen;
it is time to rise in the Spire.
As I return fully to duty, un-bothered by the darkness
within it, it is fond to know that it has shrunk. The
ammount of darkness within the Spire, no longer is so &
so Ilise was right, my once Mentor whom see me now as his
equal told me the day the Light would once again shine. I
am pleased to know I stayed true and did not quit.
I will make Provincial by keeping my duty time, high &
take a slight break from all the exploration I have been
doing; for the only thing now to obtain is the once held
Elven Blade made of mithril.
Hello cityguards, hello special guards, Captain and Mayor;
your Hero has returned to duty.
Chapter Thirteen - Collector of the Artifacts of Light

Returned to duty and proudly defending the masses of our
great city, I've taken on a new passion, or perhaps a
passion that always exist. It is not new that I seek to
balance the distribution of armor and weapons throughout
all of the light and not just the War Machine of the
Fortress.
Speaking to an Acolyte of the Fortress - Horriydl; he made
a point, that Acolytes and those of the light must sit &
converse with the enemy of darkness in some cases. As a
lawman, I decided to spread my purchases of artifacts of
the Light to all those of the lands; not just Empire.
Most would mis-interpret my dealings with all facets of
life as greed or perhaps gluttony; even sin.
Well they don't know me well. All things of significant
value has been passed on to those whom need it more. The
only possession of abundance I have is my coin; that was
true then and it is true now.
I know what is right in my soul, let them judge me, let
them portray me as something other then, charitable...
I will not fight a lie. Let the Collection Begin!
Is the Fortress Greedy? - Part II

Today of this thought, was a reaping of blood and shame
on the Fortress. Over 5 warrants issued in a jurisdiction
where the one true being of the Light resides in my
opinion; Ilise.
Elders, Leaders, Acolytes, and Maran struck out at the
city like a lot of savages. Effectively making all of
Ilise's hard work in justifications for the Fortress an
entire dump of heap in front of the Provost.
As the Provost was killed, a Magistrate was killed; all
while Provincial Ilise watched from afar; useless to
the rest of the Spire; he was look upon by Mistirin.
Furthermore, making all claims and considerations of the
Fortress that much weaker. Talks of even proclaiming
Fortress a home of lawlessness was tossed around. Not a
sad day for the Darkness, a sad day for the Light, and
I pray by the Thirteen; it was worth it to Fortress.
Sure as hell was not worth it to Ilise. I tell you it
is this greed that have spread from Artifacts to now
blood; with no regards.
Try me, the Hand of Justice shall be swift.
Greed is as evil when consumed on the Light as it is
on the dark.
A New Era - A Dream of Vigilance

I had a dream.........
...... If I were Provost
Let the hounds loose, recruit and open policy of War
and pursuits of Criminals. Pile on Vindicators to the
maximum of the Office space.
Let the lands know criminals cannot hide anywhere, for
all things related to crime has no place that is safe.
Fulfill all roles within the ranks of Provincial to
give more active attention to each city.
Make these positions accountable. Failure to report to
duty at a sufficient rate will allow those that do to
rise to Provincial.
Lastly, I don't care about your path of life or purpose;
just do the job and protect the innocent. How hard could
all that be?
The Balanced Orderly

So I gave it all up. The balancing of many things
and simply choose what I was most passionate about
aftering pursuing all things. It was, Law. it was
the one thing that was in common with everything.
The law helps people, innocent people. Even the
chaotic kind are promised this right.
So no more playing around with these little shites
of Lawlessness. I will equalize all this shite
out.

The Passionate of Law

So I am revoked from my powers, and the Lord of
great Passion, should be pleased in me. I feel
only two things in this new form. I feel stronger
along the arms, and lower body; perhaps my body
is adjusting to offset of my power; I will need
to depend on my martial.
With such in mind, I need to re-focus myself
on what is going on.
I serve Whiysdan, that much is simple and first
for all the things up to this point was always
what my grandfather wanted of me. I found the
Thirteen didn't I? He made me choose. But, he
did not really make me did he? He just revealed
to me what I already knew. I had to be free
before I go see him again and so I did what I
had to. But, the motive was the Law. Let us be
honest, it pays me well; easy enough work, and
I love a good fight, especially now.
So now, I passionate give myself to the Law and
whatever she wants. It is not because I seek to
be Justice, only it's passion. For she is quite
convicted in her desires. Oh, it soooo nice to
be able to finally think in my own skin; it only
took me Thirteen Times.
I am not taking anyone's shite, NOPE. I don't
have to make a pledge or oath to myself, or
how should I say, a Shield of Justice?
You do remember the Shield of Justice? It was
a tribunal shield with thirteen dents in it.
Well, that's what I the hell I am. I will protect
ALL cities because I want to find a shite-head
chaos crawler thinking he can avoid me. Am I
a VINDICATOR. No. There is now Law in the wilds
I will shield what is important. Where the Laws
reside. The Cities the Mayors enlisted us to do.
One best know his shite when coming across the
links of me. I've been stewing for the longest
and now I'm EXCITED about this.
Who is my enemey? The Lawless. The Criminal. The
Peace of Shite Garbage I decide is my ENEMY?
Why?? There is no rules anymore. Just the ones
that are one with me and thus ME.

We will speak for now on from the eyes of the Law and
so Gukao and the Law will speak from the same perspective;
or sort of a conduit of Justice.
We were raised the Drow-Way; speaking from the honor and
integrity into Courage. Principals, directness and bold
by the means of relaying our point. Using whatever tactics
by our means to accomplish our goal. But, my Giant side
did not give me much of literacy; and so I obtained what
I could and embraced the rest with mature'd age.
So as We, we identify as a Half-Drow Giant. As for our
profession, we identify as a Magistrate. Now using our own
stockpile of gold, we contribute it to building a closer
tie with magic; altering myself physically in ways my
prayers once did. In this, I forsake all forms of prayer
and use only magic to pursue our means. So as I, once was
and thought as; no longer exist; as we are reborn, We.
The Passion of the Law, with the Principle of the Drow,
the Strength of the Giant...
We seek new power, new means to activate our zeal. They
all look at us and wonder what is next; Nothing is next,
" We are watching. "

recall, so well. The same dark, ebony skin upon them is
now amongst us. Our very appearances has altered to reflect
my choices and true nature. The lone one, the lost one..
Our hair is now a silver and white flow; burned through
the ole bluish-green tone, we kept for so long. Skin of
our giant kin; remain and nothing of mithril we worry
of.
Our new wrappings and under-garments of the black-mummy
of Justice has been rejuvenated and worn once again; able
to once again be worn since the fall of the ancient Knight
of Gareti'Tecul; the Blood Knight of Order. A too storm
giant that took on the form of another upon their transition.
Our armor is kept, perfect and in clean, good condition
to represent every letter of the Law. Strapped with the
old bounds of our previous armors. We have returned to
duty.

We have found our affinity to magic, using it even more
then we did our own prayers. While it does not bring us
to our full strength, we have desire to take it further.
We have taken to the ancient text of the arcane and have
greatly considered the path of the Shapeshifter due to
their less reliance on practice sessions; we cannot spare
the sessions to take on a guild of higher magic and/or
the intellect required.
With our higher understanding of the shield and it's
defenses and our native fondness to the waters; what other
guild would be so perfect.
We will continue to learn the methods of altering our own
body with the potions learned through our many years of
exploring in the body of Gukao.

We have been removed from the Spire; perhaps for the
wrong reason, but we do not dwell. We will continue to
serve the Laws; as that is our only purpose and means
of passion.
We have formed the Citizen Watch in which we will report
crimes to the Tribunal based on activity in the city
we are assigned to.
Throughout all our trials. The passion of Law does not
waiver or falter.

It is difficult at times to be the single giant out. But
we have long lived this way. First it was the Elder of
the Fortress, the High Herald, the Provost and Provincial
but none of it changes anything. We are passionate about
the Laws. We pursue it for fun. Isn't that what the very
faith of the Thirteen about? Pursuing one's passion?
What else could be keeping us tied to these lands? We
no power, outcasted of the guild and forsaken the Light.
It is sheer passion and the faith of the Thirteen, still
strong within me. We shall not falter from what makes
us happy. The Law.

We are feeling more adept in our physical prowl
now. It is fascinating; but to learn a new craft
the best; we will need to return to our natural
raised terrain, Beneath the Surface. We have
taken some-what residence in Cragstone and not
to far from the Shrine of Whiysdan.
We will research those using these guilds and
attempt further to grasp the fortitude of the
arcane.
We are passionate about the Law, but until we
are restored to full power; we are useless to
anyone or anything. We will do what it takes to
rise once again from beneath the ground and one
day walk again on the surface. So we Hope.
Turning to faith; one thing is for sure.. Whiysdan
should be pleased knowing, we are not tied to
anything.

Courage was not making the sacrifice to leave
the Light, and the Code. Some could argue that is
the easy way out. Courage, however is; the ability to
endure the punishment, thus gaining the reward
of one's decision.
We never knew Courage, like we know it now. I
have had moments where I saw ourselves moving
closer to the void. We resisted, again the easy
way out.
Instead, we study still. We offer help to the
Spire, still and we are passionate of our path and
of Law, still.
One would ask us now, what is Courage? Courage
is pursuing your passions no matter the consequences
that follow; and most importantly endure the
consequences.

We've made major breakthrough in our studies and
to our understanding; the more we drift from
our martial teaching, the weaker we seem to
become. We've read through the lores and archives that
a magi weakness is apparent, we feel the difference.
To join the Shapeshifter guild; one must have a
major and minor in mind. We believe ourselves to
be advanced enough for this. So we make strides
to form our spirits into the powers of beasts; with
a major in Defense, and should we have enough mind
power to consider a minor; best to stick to
something we know well; the seas. Water.

Our patience and passions has paid off, as it has always
throughout our lives. Have you ever met a storm giant
with this many complications and hard life? I think not.
Provost called for us as we posted our 3rd application to
the Spire. Why would we not? We've always served Law.
During our conversation, an Outlander arrived to attack
us. With the Provost, we slew Gualnok dead right before
the Captain. What could be a better example of our
worth to the Law then to do that before the Provost.
As if he did not know already, how powerful our passion and
courage runs deep.
Provost attempted to induct me again, but it seems we
have to go before Ishuli at this point. No matter, I
been meaning to speak with Ishuli anyhow. How else
will I obtain my arcane leverage.
Now, we finally returned to the Surface and the highest
Peak. Ishuli. I await you.

As if my Passions were not enough, as if the Courage
to be whom I truly am is not enough; as if the
threats that come along with being yourself was not
enough; I've finally grown in fame enough for a
large bounty to be placed for us.
We are sure it came from within the Spire, for if I were
a corrupted one, I would not want US alive either. We
stand for everything that is law, and a Anti-Hero
to all that is corruption and would de-value the
Laws that only protects the innocent. I never
thought we would assume this much attention; even
now with no powers for the last decade or so.
But with all things I face in my life and through
guidance of my own passions; life is hard; but it is
also what you make it.
So place your bounty for us, but OUR Courage shall
never bend, break or falter; neither our Passion for
the Law.

The Justiciar is gone, the last piece of true corruption in the Spire. I do not
believe it all to be finished and the law is still at risk because of it. The last
of the old regime in the Provost, whom clenches to power for nothing more
than political and self-served ambition.
With my revitalized passion, and determination to return to the Spire, even
after all this time. I've had my lapse and stagnate time in and out of the void;
yet something just won't let me quite. Something still pulls m to this plane
even after all the wrong done to me; I am still here. Of the Balance, Of the
Order and mostly, against corruption. Spire will need guidance. I shall be there
when they need me most.
Gukao is back. Now where is my badge??

Thirteen Decades Later

Am I getting old? Perhaps I should start taking
better care of myself? My wardrobe, my weapons, I
need to start dressing like the ebony-skinned
giant warrior I am. Still powerless, I must strike
fear with whatever blood I have left in me.
Looking about the lands it seems to be a new and
most of the blood and travelers are people I dont
know and never met. A relief really, allows me a
fresh start in a old system.
Provost still looms, likely waiting for me to die
before he puts in his retirement. Last of the old
regime and last of my problems next to that High
Herald.
Since my return, I have solidified my station
with an old friend Viera, and his Scion.
Still destined and passionate about the Law, I am
still and continously and will forever be working
toward a new guild. Gods have mercy. Allow me to
enter a new guild.

Hi! Yup, it's me again; Good ole Gukao, pushing my tenth
application and still feel young as a bull. With every decade
that past, I just keep getting sharper. More determined in my
passion then a century before. Tiaramus the last of the most
corrupted of the Spire; I now return to the lands once again
hoping this stretch will earn me favor back into the Spire.
Perhaps before that happens it will be an eleventh, twelfth
and lastly Thirteen. But then we start all over. Don't we?
You look for me to roll over? They looking for me to simply
just STOP. But I can't. I'm a law abiding citizen. I've been
through Provincials, Vindicators, Justiciars, Magistrates of
old. And I am still farqin here! What another Provost to the
larger picture of Law.

The Pledge that Sticks II

Recently, Provost has agreed to my back-pay in the ammoutn of
500 Gold. I had not expected his willingness to do so. Need
less to say, I've instructed him to re-distribute my back-pay
to the new Magistrates, they are getting younger and younger
and I barely can keep up. It's that middle-age that's pulling
at my memory.
Provost Atrael setting himself apart from the previous corrupted
administration; promises to new change. His willingness to
reconsider his stance and the stance of old leadership is a
good start in what seems to be a neverending saga; making
mention my inability to give up. Perhaps he was willing to
give me anything to shut me up. Perhaps that's passion at work
eh?
I've re-armored myself in the best manner I can in conjuction
with no prayers or powers; hoping that I can at least be some
what of a deterrence; not likely.
With another chance, to become apart of the Spire I spent all
my life serving, the laws I spent all my life enforcing and
educating others; perhaps my time has finally come.
In the meantime as the Provost mulls over my future, I have
opened up a small Office for illegal and sub-standard warrants.
Protecting the rights of law-abiding citizens and giving them
an expert to fight on their behalf when cases are valid. Any
and all things Law; I'm the guy to come see.

Har Har Har! Stumbling here, and stumbling there; I always find
my way back to the good ole Order of things. Having found one
of my favorite places int he Lands, I sit consistently on the
Seat of Order within the Thar-Acacia. Perhaps these mages can
teach Gukao a thing or two of their ancient seclusion.
Away from the cities, and a peak so high, perhaps it reaches
the heavens, though some say I am hellbound. No matter, for my
visit here is short, absorbing all that I missed in my fourth
or fifth expedition here. Back when I was a powerful being. I
am still powerful, just in Will and mind.
Is the lands really surprised that Gukao returns, yet again.
Where is my damn badge. Har har!

Back from such a long trip, that I almost forgot all
of what I gained in my experiences. Thirteen Decades
once again since I roamed these foggy parts; and I
am truly happy to breathe Thera's air once again.
Always on stand-by for the next case; I pull from the
Balance my resources and continual study into the
Law. Defense Advocate of Law; still and honored.
The Provost has remained the same, and so I do not
see my allowance into the Spire happening anytime
soon; but perhaps after this application. my luck
will change.
