Description

Miniature muscles ripple across the physique of this female Svirfnebli. Her outfit, short sleeved and rugged, gives a pastoral appearance and make her seem masculine, almost unattractive. Her hair is pulled tightly down the back of her head, braided closely and without care, it has random strands sticking outwards. Her face is visibly wrinkled with age, and her mouth curls slightly downwards on one side more than the other.

A rant from Gulkra

I be Gulkra. I ain' too smart, but I ain' too dumb neither. I swing axes real
good, 'specially ta them Magi's faces. Ain' remember much o' me parents, much
less anythin' else bout me growin' up except trainin'. Always liked ta'
train, always will. Will train on me damned deathbed, if I gotta'. Ain much
sure where I be from. Guessin maybe Cragstone, on a count o' there bein lots
o Svirnebli there. I damn well think I outshine them, though. I be the
diamond, they be d'unknown little rocks. When I walk in they know who the one
is 'dat made something o' herself. I may be a girl, but I ain' no diamond
farmer. I scuffle with the best of them.

Other day got real damned interestin', if 'a can be callin it that. Commander
called us all ta' the War Room. I was pissed, see, cause nothin' gets done at
them meetings. Always the same "Kill Magi, don't kill not Magi." Always.
Everybody talks too much, everybody doesn't drink enough. So the Commander
says we all going to answer questions. Everyone before me was damned slow.
Easy question. Should we, as d'Village, war with Cabals who's leaders be Magi
at the time. FARGIN HELLS YEAH we should. If Provost be Elf, them Spire
goin'
to have good tendencies. If Provost be Duergar, them going to be sketchy.
That damn hard to understand? There be a Magi agenda! Any Magi that got
leader position, whether in Fortress, Outlander, or Spire will always want
ta' make Magi stronger. Hidden Magi agenda, I sayin! Not many believe me, but
it be damned true. Would stake me axes on it.

One thing real important I brought up durin' the meeting that even Commander
forgot about. The damned Herald. Them bein' led by a Magi right now. Them got
control o' our histories in there! Could hide it from us, or jus' erase if we
ever fight back. I says we take a copy o' them histories and put'em in our
damned Village where it belongs! Where the history was made, there it should
damn well stay! I telling you, we need to do what we gotta do. If Outlanders
harbor Magi, we break into them homes and pull them out. Will leave warriors
and all alone unless them stand in our way. Yeah, they be misguided, but so
be the Emperor-And him, if left alone, would kill more o' us! We have ta'
fight misguided folks in our way, we just gotta'. I says we leave them item
of Power, though, only point of goin' in is ta' kill the Magi. Eventually
they'll learn.

One o' our Villagers says "they believe different than us. They have
different views. We need to respect that." Fargin' send that to the ninth
circle! Respect it me ass. They be damned misguided, and need ta' be shown
the way. By our bloody damned courage we made this Village, and with that
same bloody damned courage we're going to clean up Thera. Heralds, ye' better
watch yer damn asses out.

Combat.

Combat is where all in Thera should strive to thrive. Each being, no matter
the race, holds the potential to fight with the best. Focusing on your self,
your body, your spirit, strength, and every aspect of physical enhancement,
one can hone themselves as a weaponJust like the axes I wield; know how you
must use them, practice with them, just as you lose your skills when you
dont practice with them, the same applies to the body. One needs to keep
themselves as a diamond, constantly outshining the other stones near them,
forcing them into your own shadow so they strive HARDER, until you are placed
aside and do the same. Constant improvement.

Any villager holding a Hut who cannot understand the need for improvementAny
Hut-baby who finds complacency with being average, all right, decent, without
ever considering the unlimited potential the body holds is just as bad as the
Magi. Those that feel that they know all, that all one needs is to pronounce
a few damnable syllables and wave your magic stick with no effort, and
behold: You made a fireball. The moment you rely on those powers instead of
your own flesh, blood, and sweat is when you admit that your body can go no
farther. Each muscle, by the end of the day, should strain and tear its way
through any obstacle, improving and adapting in the process. So frail, those
are who cannot understand the need for work. Always seeking the shortcut for
the next spell, the shortest way to steal the Gods power and use it with
reckless abandon. History shows what this leads to. Those who are in power,
Magically, are too weak to do the STILL REQUIRED labor themselves, so
servants are either forced, or created (Felar, mind you). Bloody courage, as
always, is needed to stand up against these threats, and to strike down the
Magis spawn. The Village will never falter, and it will never give in.
