Description

A diminutive shadow gives a false sense of proportion to this fellow's entire body. He seems bald except for a dark braid of hair, unusual for his kind. A dismal set of large olive-green eyes, a nose that is flat across the bridge and a smoothly arched jaw-line seem as if they were crafted rather than natural. A small scorched twig sticks out of the corner of his mouth which he grounds with his teeth. Lean, would be an understatement when describing this being, as acute shoulders seem to taper themselves nicely and carry tawny but sinewy muscled arms. Well sculpted legs support his torso and add an impressive overall shape. An etched robe with small corrugated metallic inlay, begins to cover the rest of his body but with one final glance you notice...

Role

Humble beginnings. I

Added Sat Jul 30 13:52:32 2011 at level 3:
The life of a nomad is a harsh reality to many, and that way of life is from
where most races had originated. Freely flowing around, stopping to place
camps near a clean source of water, while hoping and scouting for food of
any kind. Mushrooms, yams, all matter of creatures small and large, which
can be made into hearty and filling meal often lack true flavor and
sophistication. The Eternian family, had long since left a true civilization and
in their sojourn had conceived and raised a brilliant son, Gwildonian. They
had forsaken the often calm, collected and organized life of villages and
cities for the greater life experiences and solemn knowledge to be gained
from travel abroad. This existence their son had never come to know.

Glimpsing a far flickering light within the great expanding horizon caught the
youngster's attention during a nightly relief. Curious, yet cautiously he
approached, expecting another camp but as he trod closer the flicker of lights
did diversify, scattering over a wide area. Hours passed with increasingly
vigilant pressing toward the ever engrossing mass of light and the
occasional sound. The chatter of insect and critter slowly faded to oblivion
as pace after pace brought a closer view of a large earthen and stone
facade. A massive portcullis was raised over an arching gash through the
wall, beyond which lay the city.

Humble beginnings. II

Added Sat Jul 30 13:53:11 2011 at level 3:
The distant flicker had become a blaze in the night, as the darkness hid like a
thief in the shadows. Torches, sconces, and braziers illuminated the way
which no longer held the echos of confounded insect and toad. Quiet design
with large solid dwellings bore no skins, hides, nor canvas, save for the
occasional overhang. What sort of marvel was this, and to why feelings of
belonging swelled, he did not know. As he now strolled through the streets a
passerby conveyed a greetings, and welcomed him. Looking back was
something that he would not give in to. Somehow this existence suited him
and that is where his heart lay.

As always curious and now a bit adventurous a survey of this "City" was
inevitable and swiftly coming. Guilds, Taverns, and various shops of all
kinds were mapped, and ingrained into his expansive memory. Favoring the
arcane, as did many others, and with the majestic order of incantation
evoking a deeper sensation of connection. The discovery of anatomy
transformation and shape shifting was inevitable. To narrow the academic
choice, the weight of positive and negative effects were measured. With
every ounce accounted for, the scale tipped and dedication to whole body
shape manipulation was selected. A small afterthought was choosing
Galadon to study, as it was the largest and most central school to enroll in.

In the beginning there was, "An Investigation."

Added Wed Aug 3 13:07:25 2011 at level 26:
The sun, sweltering over head, shown brightly over the dusty streets. A light
breeze followed from the northwest, and the oncoming night beckoned
heartily. A loud clamor of shrieks, and muffled yells arose as a brawl
ensued within the streets. A quick glance about, passing by the shifting
guild, indicated that the Marans and the Scions were picking a fight. Two of
the phoenix order against a solitary member of the dark chasm's magi. Pay
close attention and alert the authority, he thought, and his reaction followed
swiftly, there after.

With quietly flowing desire to bring order, he did, call the Honorable
Adjudicator Nirilias to the scene. Arriving shortly after the disruptive battle
had concluded, they began their investigation. Nirilias recounted the
conversations of the accused, and the defending and were cross examined
with all observations. Through careful collaboration, both of the Pheonix
order and a somewhat late arrival of a mummy were placed under warrant
for the laws in which were broken. Relishing in the largest case in which he
worked, he smiled in acknowledgement of a job well done and the
recognition of the Magistrate for his contribution.

An slowly budding Career.

Added Wed Aug 3 13:07:50 2011 at level 26:
Striving for the opportunity to join the ranks of law enforcement, become a
true protector of his orderly cities, and with a solid dedication to his cause as
his drive, he quickly arrived. With dedication clearly proven with the
numerous efforts as a witness for placing warrants and enlightening others
of felons positions, little was left to prove. Using several expressions of quick
whit, cunning, and, most importantly, logic, he was able to convince those
within the leadership of the spire of his worthiness to be among them.
So this came to be.

Lighthearted feelings of joy and small butterflies of eagerness were among
the first sensations upon donning the Tribunal Mantle. Engulfing the
writings and teachings within the spire were next in line. The most
enlivening yet were the extraordinary display cases of the Justiciar and
Vindicator residing to either side of the alter. After much observation he
went into duty for the first time, knowing that each and every one of them,
also began at the bottom as he now must do. Seantryn Modan, the first rung
on the latter in his journey to promote order among the land.

The Illuminating Agonist.

Added Tue Aug 9 09:41:49 2011 at level 40:
Flickering wisps of radiantly glowing energy, leaping from surface to surface,
swiftly and angrily consuming all that feel it's caress. Often used to heat
homes in Autumn and Winter, and even more common in the cooking of
sustenance for one's consumption, the flame is so often a miracle but at
times, a curse. Left unattended it can grow without bounds, rapidly
expanding, eating anything in it's path, and leaving, black, charred remains.
Alone it has the capability for chaotic destruction and should never be
knowingly be left in such a condition.

An un-common, un-caring, pillager of sweet, calm, and orderly cities,
Outlanders often enjoy entropic nightly raids. They ransack shops and at
times dispose of their owners, often leaving their shops in shambles or a
flame. As it seems increasingly common occurrence for these type of tactics,
lawmen have practiced and made fire control among their priorities. As he is
not one to rely on others, experiment, training, dedication and study further
he did, increasing his prowess exponentially. It is often typical to carry
multiple water containers and he has grown increasingly well at strategic
dousing. If only those wild-men would leave the beloved, orderly cities be.

Solemnly basking in a radiant gleam of amber and auburn, the smoldering
remains of someone's life's work is often left in ruin, as the charred ash takes
place of stout timbers and thatched roofs. It is among his least favorite
smells, the smell of anguish, knowing it coincides with the remorse and
regret that someone's livelihood now has to be rebuilt, a smell of burnt
ashen remains. Why it was, that someone would dedicate their life to
disruption, and destruction of his beloved cities, he was unaware. Alas, he
thought, if they can't be prevented, then extinguishing them with utmost
haste would be his task.

Practice in Action.

Added Wed Aug 10 00:08:23 2011 at level 41:
The raucous sound of beast and blade had quieted, the adventure had been
quelled as the party prepared to depart toward their separate ways. One
parted with a wish of good fortune, another with some upbeat words, and he,
his solemn nod. Back to duty, back to the law, and his beloved city of
Voralian. Uttering words of incantation and woosh off again but upon
arrival there was something very unforeseen.

Running to and fro were city protectors, stammering back and forth, flailing
and unorganized, franticly attempting to put out wildly lashing flames. The
surrounding areas were stifling, scalding temperature and scorching fire
caressed his skin and it drew taunt, small beads of sweat formed as tiny
rivulets in little more than a flash, it was painful to inhale as each breath was
heavily laden with feverish heat, smoke and soot. His pulse racing, his body
had to react..

The days, weeks, and years of past training swelled within his throbbing
mind and pounding heart. Quickly rushing to gather his containers,
plunging any that would hold water into the nearby fountains. Bubbles
flowed swift and steady but even the usually cool and solemn pools were
warm to the touch. Back and forth, systematically eliminating each raging
blaze, ensuring the once frightful heat of the fire had sputtered to ash.
Calling and pointing out the technique to the city protectors his only
thought, soon it would be all over back to the quiet, orderly city he has
dedicated himself to.

No Order left Behind.

Added Sat Aug 13 16:19:22 2011 at level 51:
Clean, straight, lines forming silent passageways for a blossoming urban
environment. Giving guide or lattice for all matter of structures, from shanties
to castles and palaces is the order that sprang forth from someone's
imaginative ingenuity. Spreading and protecting this order is an imperative,
not to be taking lightly or with slight regard. Once arisen from uncultivated,
wilderness, or addition to a small community, the city and it's order shall be
guarded. Without protection some of these once great establishments veer
away from civilization, becoming corrupt, or even being overgrown and
returning to the jungle from whence it came.

A mighty belief or ideal can go to great distances, overcoming nearly any
obstacle in the pursuit of realization. Having taken upon himself, the idea of
expansion of order, many long and solemn nights have been spent.
Dreams, dreams, with some hope of fruition and that one day, they may
make the light. Under careful eye, and trembling hands, the pen's ink
strewed out the once imagined into coherent thought. The plan of
expansion to the north west, had been born. Unlike many great men whom
had gone onward dictating to their public, his idea was more simple. Help to
protect those whom have arisen on their own, that they may grow more
beautiful in order, and flourish.

Ink, dabbled, parchment with scarce few words, broke down the outline of
the unspoken dream. All relevant cities and establishments were
considered but narrowed greatly to four little choices. Udgaard, Tir'Talth,
Dagdan, and the South Daerein Settlement all made their way onto the list
of possibilities. Careful consideration would have to go into the planning
and organization of such a grand undertaking and thus a diffusion and
collection of ideals was next to ensue.

The Five Drafts.

Added Mon Aug 15 12:57:09 2011 at level 51:
Collaboration on the most grand scale can lead to grand and wondrous
results. Meeting firstly with the Provincial Magistrates should serve as a
good start for the amalgam of ideals toward the cities, he thought.
Magistrate Gleebrok was the first with whom contact was made and the
diffusion of ideas began. Following Gleebrok would be Tordoak, again with
differentiating initial input despite an overall approval of "I like it". Finally
Provincial Nirilas, easily made a state of agreement as he thought "The crow
would like the expansion of Order". Carefully considering each of the
proposed ideas and attempting to analyze each concept, they discussed
profusely. To that end state of agreeance was coherently formed. The
ideals, penned roughly yet thoroughly, were liked by all parties and the
proposal should move on.

One by one, they fell into place, like domino's or chess pieces, each
Provincial Magistrate adding their own thoughts for consideration. A
decision was made, that a further analysis was to be performed and the
good and bad of each choice placed upon the scales. The expanse of order
as the fulcrum with the positive and negative qualities of each township
bearing down on opposite sides with monumental heft, joggling and
teetering with precarious balance. Mark by mark they were carefully
counted, measured, and continually added to or taken from with a initial draft
for each being compiled and penned. Now, painstakingly composed, and
carefully fabricated, the five scrolls would move up the chain of command, in
time, to Provost Kalarius and with a bit of good fortune, beyond.

Seconds turn to minutes, minutes to hours, hours to days, and so on, until
the long awaited time one seeks, finally arrives. His moment was during a
sighting of Provost Kalarius, and the ensuing conversation there after.
Upon a day much as any other, chasing criminals, keeping the peace and
order among the cities, and a bit of adventure, a solemn voice was heard
announcing the presence of Kalarius. Nearly baffled at the sudden
appearance and unexpected timing, quietly quivering butterflies filled his
gullet. Finally gathering the courage and calling forth a meeting, they
quickly arrived at the destined location, the Spire's Library.

Clammy palms, a small bead of sweat slowly sauntering down his brow,
an uneasy stomach, and a swiftly racing mind nearly made his senses
burst. On the outside a graceful, prepared, front was well placed. With the
arrival of the Provost, his customary tipping was rendered and a
deliberate shuffling and organizing of parchment took place before
delivering his ideals accordingly. Astonishingly, just as the previous
Provincial Magistrates, he too, thoroughly enjoyed the ideas and the well
thought out plans for expansion. With utter agreement and excitement he
was urged to present his thoughts and ideas to Lord Marcatis.

Astounded and relieved, so seldom such feelings can be embraced at the
same time, yet so satisfying when they do. Eagerly awaiting the day of
final judgement upon his ideals, he busily scrawls new ideas and
considerations. It is well known that one may not expand without expense
and this concept was not lost to him. Before his final presentation, the
sixth scroll shall conceptualized and be penned, the Scroll of Financing.

The Sixth Scroll.
