Description

Nothing can be discerned from the figure standing before you. The build of this form stands at approximately six feet in height with a girth that would be best guessed as elven or human. Dark black cloaks and robes cover every inch of skin that may give away his appearance, only his outline can be seen. As you stare deeper into the darkness of his hood, aqua eyes reflect out from behind the darkness piercing your gaze with a look of curiosity. In a fluid motion faster than and as silent as any drow the figures weapon can be seen as the metal reflects off the light. The figure lowers his hood and the real appearance of this man can be seen. His dark brown hair falls down to his shoulders, his aqua eyes still staring at you unwaveringly. His beard only an inch or two long is well kept for one that seems to travel many roads, money does not seem to be something this man, with little dust or dirt upon him, lacks.

Role

"The Twilight Brigand"

Added Tue Jan 20 05:09:12 2004 at level 13:
War has come to this world, leaving in its wake only destruction. Rumors have
been begun to be heard of an Empire that has risen to claim the lands for the
order and rule of one power, yet standing in the mists of all the chaos that
has ensued from these endless battles is just one man. He is but a speck of
sand in the scheme of things but his presence will be felt even if it is only
a small ripple in the eternal ponds of Thera. Gyldar Corsair was born in the
farm villages to the east of Arkham, having nothing left in his name was
forced to become a farmhand for his mere survival. The dregs of society, the
panhandlers, drunks, and prostitutes were the only ones who shared in the
poverty that graced Gyldar's pathetic life. There was more to life than this
and determined, Gyldar hid within a ship heading to the desert town of Hamsah
Mu'Tazz. This was indeed a turning point in Gyldar's life, as he ate rotten
potatoes and rats within the bowels of that vessel, for he had boarded the
pirate ship, "The Twilight Brigand", under the guise of a trade ship. Soon
after he was found and lashed severely, he quickly joined their ranks.

The beginning of Gyldar's training began upon this ship full of pickpockets,
swashbucklers, and thugs. He was trained to take advantage of every situation
no matter the cost to others. The key rule he quickly realized, should it
ever come down to saving your own hide or another's, save yourself...and then
plunder your dead allies belongings. Gyldar became an opportunist making sure
that there was gain to everything that took his time. Life quickly became
easier for Gyldar as the wealth of others seemed to end up in his possession,
he left "The Twilight Brigand" that had taught him the ways of pilfering and
became a pirate of the lands, walking the roads waylaying those unsuspecting
travelers.

"The Last Sunset"

Added Sun Jan 25 19:10:16 2004 at level 33:
Whilst concealing himself in the shadowy corner of a bar that he often
frequented, usually after he had waylaid a caravan or two, Gyldar overheard
the whispering of merchants, there seemed to be a rising power near the
desert town of Hamsah Mu'Tazz. Since Hamsah MuTazz had been Gyldar's home
since he had left the farms to the east of Arkham this intrigued him. Their
conversation outlined dark prophecies bringing forth the destruction of this
world, upon the last sunset night will reign eternal. The weak will be culled
and the circle of men which brought forth this eternal night shall rule over
the realm, nothing standing between them and their every desire. Before the
last word was spoken Gyldar was on the road traveling to his home in search
of this dark circle of men. As he listened to the hearsay within Hamsah, most
of the town afraid to even speak of this force, he came to realize that the
dark circle was no other than the Scions of Eternal Night, and the temptation
of power plagued his every sleep. Searching out the mortal leader of the
Chasm, Gyldar spoke to the Chancellor of the Eternal Night of his intentions.
He sought to be a part of the opening of the gates, a holder of the keys to
the other world, becoming one of those who reign supreme in the last sunset.
Always within Gyldar's mind the riches and plunder that will come from the
death of the weak. In reality, his only thoughts were of his own selfish
goals, power and riches that only further him, and the lord he had come to
realize was being furthered by him as well, The Copper-Banded Jackal,
Tanadin.
