Description

Obviously of youthful vigor, likely in his first mid-hundred, this elf is of solid, athletic build, his tanned body lean and well-muscled. Complimenting his statuesque form are a set of sharp features, and a rigid posture. Crowning his head, his hair is loose and dark, closely shorn to the base of his skull. His features are accented by a pair of majestic, deep set, slate eyes. Pushing up through his wavy hair are the tips of two distinctly pointed ears, and a soft scent of flowers lingers about him.

Role

Little background

Added Thu Oct 12 12:56:01 2006 at level 1:
I was sleeping when my mother was killed, I was sleeping in her womb. It
was truly a miracle that I managed to survive when they cut her up to save me.
And all marvelled at the spirit of the child.

I was only a few years old when I wandered off the village. The spirits led me
quietly through forest and mountain when one day I met a man in the shape of a
dire wolf. He never turned but the spirits helped me speak to him. He served a
great magic city called Thar-Acacia where mages researched powerful arcane
knowledge. He showed me to the city and I was let in to wander it's streets.

The inhabitants of the city did not notice me but I communed with the spirits,
many of them far older than the ones of my home. They spoke of balance and that
it is not only required between magic and nature but in all things for the world
to function and develop. They said beware those who upset it. I did not understand
it then but I often thought of it's meaning the years after.

I returned home and all marvelled at the spirit of the child.

I continued my travels back and forth in the years after that. I saw the Underdark
and I even went to behold the sirine women, and all around me the spirits spoke to me.

One night when I returned home a man visited us. He spoke of signs, he spoke of dreams.
He spoke of fate. A new era is underway, he said, and Halamael shall be a part of it.

- But how do you know this? I asked.

- In my dream I was told by the godess Psuchae.

The she-wolf in the dream

Added Thu Oct 12 23:50:42 2006 at level 7:
Halamael had never had such a powerful dream before. The words of her voice
still echoed in his chest whenever his thoughts drifted:

"... the biggest conflict is in your heart."

Could it truly have been Her? Even in the dream as he saw the she-wolf a surge
had gone through his heart, seldom had he wept as he grew up, but rather had he
turned quiet - but now the tears had been hard to keep at bay. Ironic in a way
that she could have that affect on his heart noone else have had.

But deep in his mind he could not help but to think that the grand Lady of Dreams
had been the catalyst of the lucid vision.

Thoughts on Balance.

Added Tue Oct 17 08:55:15 2006 at level 32:
I ponder my actions. I ponder the balance in them. For some
time the spirits have led me through the forests of the past.
There with diffrent companions we laid waste to various creatures
plaguing the forest; burners, trolls, taglos who are some form
of wolf-men and others. It dawned upon me then that perhaps I
had tipped the scales in favor against evil and for nature too much.
Fortunately a giant from Kiadana presented himself demanding
tribute to the Empire. While it likely would be quite easy to
defeat him with my travel companions I decided to pay the tribute
to futher civilization and evil. Some of the spirits were confused
but I was pleased. I believed however some more work strengthening
evil was necessary to minimise my impact on the balance. So now I have
continued my work in the past, turning to the field of battle outside
Ostalgiah I have tried to push the war to the evil giants favor.

But there too I was struck that I may have pushed too far and so myself
and my Brother Eqithan ventured to Teth Azeleth and pushed back the
work of the dark-elves. And so it continues.

I have become a part of the Nexus now and I have learned much new things,
indeed every day is filled with new insights. I realise however that to
maintain balance in the greatest possible way I have to advance far
futher within my guild.

In my dreams I can feel my mother, I can hear her howl.

It gives me strength.

Wolves in a pack.

Added Mon Oct 23 13:47:23 2006 at level 47:
I had a dream last night.

I saw myself running over dark plains at night, and ahead of me was a she-wolf. She was strong
and she glanced back at me and gave me a grin. It was my mother - I cannot tell why we were
running but it was fast. It slowly dawned upon me that we were not running alone. I saw others,
wolves surrounding me. Wolves in a pack. But on the same time they were not wolves, I could feel
they were in fact my comrades of the Nexus. I sensed the assuring presence of brother Eqithan
and sister Dinkertot. Futher away was a gray maned one that I felt to be the founder Fadderth
and many others still!

We continued our run for the horizon where a massive eye oddly enough waited, watching with the
comming dawn.

As I woke up I realised this was my pack, this was my family.
