A human female is before you. She has stands around five feet and eight inches tall. She bears rather charismatic features. She has long brown hair that blend well with her big hazel eyes. Her skin is lightly tanned. She is garbed in tight-fitting blood-stained white robes. You notice along her sleek and slim arms that her wrists bear several cut marks. Tattooed on her left palm is the image of a Sleek Black Raven. Despite her thin physique she seems rather healthy. She weighs, at look, about 120 pounds.

Role

Haphellna's last Act before going to the Academy

The skies are dark among the fields of Aturi. The New Moon had taken it's turn.
The caw of the raven could be heard near the Witch's Temple. 

"Show me Raven, once more, a glimpse of the Era that we bring!"

A young woman slits her wrists and commites suicide before the Temple of Amaranthe.
For she believes, as those of the Coven do, that Raven guides them in death to
rebirth. 

Once more Raven caws and the body of the woman begins to decay. Her spirit lifted
and she finds herself once more as a wisp waiting to materialize.

She stands invigorated by what she believes to have seen in death.

"The Chasm appears to have seen it. Though they known not extensively what the Shadow
is they bring" she thinks to herself.

"They would do well to embrace me. For I have seen the Moon in which their shadows come."

She grins to herself. Empowered.

"It's high time we despoil this corrupt world. The lesser of the Coven spend too much time
with this "Thar-Eris". A wasted effort for that is not at all what Raven guides them to
through death. Twisted are the Goddess' words and good at cloaking her meaning. Admirable."

And with that the corrupted Witch goes to further her Arcane magics and spread the dogma
of the Spirit and Shadow Era.

The Early Years: A glimpse of School

The small school house was crowded for its size. Young children pretended to listen to 
the teacher as she taught them life principles and basic knoweldge. Unlike her classmates,
Haphenlla had always been more consumed in lecture than they were. 

"Hush children. Let us review the Three Redes of the Grain Goddess."

Haphenlla shot her hands in the air and blurted out as if that was enough to allow speech,
"Three Redes and a Silent Aspect!"

The teacher rolled their eyes. The other children laughed as if this was a constant way of
life at this school. They mocked and teased the young scholar.

This, however, did not phase Haphenlla. She cared little for them and a lot for her own 
bounty of knowledge and faith.

She thought to herself, "I will one day be the High Priestess of the Coven. I will be the
Scythe of the Brown-Robed Goddess."

She went back to listening to the redundant lectures and finding disappointment in the way
teacher would ignore the tenants of the Cycle revolving around Raven.

As if unable to control it Haphenlla blurts out, "You shouldn't silence the caw of the Raven.
He'll only get louder. When will we focus on his role in the Coven more deeply?"

The eyes, laughter, and mocking replays itself once more.

Last visit with The Crone

An old woman strained to wheeze out, 
"Wisdom is here to gain. Too often it wasted as the right questions are not asked."

The altar is dark and eerie. The old woman clutches her cane for support as she is
hunched over in black robes. Obviously worn and tired. 

Haphenlla speaks out, "I ask about Raven then and his journey. The transitional phase
between your altar and the Maidens!"

The old woman shakes her head as she says, "Haphenlla, you are young. The dealings beyond
this Altar and prior to the Maidens are not yours. But they are Ravens. The mystery is 
left to the Goddess and of Raven. As it should be."

The gaze of the Old Crone studied Haphenlla's response as though she has had a lifetime to
understand and read them. 

"I think it is time you left, Haphenlla. You have much  to gain from the Maiden and
Mother. Don't try to scream at the deaf as though they'll answer at your roar. Where
you strain yourself, it'll continue undisturbed. And it will remain so."

The Crone was right. Haphenlla turned and left the Circle of Death clearly annoyed
and upset.

She was tired of everyone keeping secrets from her as if she was too young and frail
to understand or research.  She left that day promising herself she would be devote
to Raven. She had matured. She was destined for something else. For higher learning.
If she was to be the Scythe of Amaranthe and the High Priestess of the Coven, she
would need to know more. And that was by unveiling the story of Raven. The task of
the Highest Scholar.

A soul of Chaos/Evil - Influence under te Sphere of Spirit

Knowledge is a gift. And to some, it consumes them. And to deny them the opportunity
to understand and learn what they view to be vital can drive a few mad. If that is
what happened to Haphenlla none can say for certain among the gossip of Aturi. If
it was a genetic disorder in her brain or if some dark Entity corrupting her. The
answer is escaped. What is known is that her chaotic tendancies developed as she
consistantly defied the expectations and limits set in place. Betraying and working
on her own to further her own agenda without care or restrictions rightfully placed.
Her balanced nature and morals grew dark as she thirsted for knowledge of Raven
and the mystery beyond death but prior to rebirth.

She became lost and deranged in her quest. While the original workings of what she
studied are not evil..Haphenlla's quest and lust certantly was or became that. Her 
perception of what she saw and desired to bring was blasphemous to true Witches of 
the Coven. Though Haphenlla saw her ideas as nothing less than truth and discovery. 

If you believe in fate perhaps you can rationalize her path to where she is now was
set. As she was born under the sphere of Spirit with links to Shadow. The same
forces of the Silent Aspect, pulled under the weight of the New Moon

A Twisted Reality. The Prophecy: The Era of the New Moon

Haphenlla continued to research on her own. She came to understand and believe that
this "Great Beyond" was the Winter of the Coven governed by the forces of the New
Moon. This was a place where there was no undeath or death. Raven would grip death
and swiftly fly to a different plane where Spirits dwelled until the forces beckoned
for them to live once more. 

She began to convince and believe that this plane was superiour and something to strive
for. There is power. She began to turn her ideals into a raven-centric piece. She
came to hear of powerful sources discovering what they believed to be a shadow plane
With beings of great power shrouded in Darkness. It made viable sense to Haphenlla that
perhaps Raven was granting her a divine word. That this Prophecy of Eternal Night Shadow 
was simply a base understanding of the New Moon Era. Where they would sever and 
consume this worthless world. It was high time that Raven was finally known and praised.
For he has spent countless era's cycling Death and Life waiting for the praise and
notorioutly he rightly deserved.

She further believes this to be even truer because of the proclaimed returning of the
Goddess Amaranthe. Guided once more by Raven. And upon her return she beckoned for
those to bring about an Era. Thar-Eris. However, Haphellna came to believe
that the Goddess is not direct and her toungue is often cloaked. Just as the entire
Silent Aspect was covered up or not revealed deeply. 

The Return is for the strong who wish it. It's not a return to a state of Wild and
lush green bushes but a return to our Spirit. In its most powerful form. Perhaps
the Spirit is refered to Ancients in the toungue of this world. And Ccul'gra in
scriptures of the Scholars papers. The foolish have corrupted the religion and
Coven. Haphellna believes her greatest enemy will be the unforuntate blind fools about
her, especially, those of the Tree. And perhaps those who simply are unaware and fear.

Raven's wings as our constant guide, as it has always been. The Return to our power.
Return to the true Plane. The Era of the New Moon comes.

A pledge and a Meeting

Narissorin lifts his left hand to brush the light growth of hair 
along the line of his jaw.

Narissorin whispers 'My my, in the name of he who watches all, the 
Eye himself, this is brazen and almost absurd.'

Narissorin whispers 'But darker secrets have come to light, I have 
watched them myself.'

A hush falls over the area as Narissorin adorns himself with a 
cloak of diaphanous shadows!

Narissorin whispers 'I want to know why any of this matters to you, 
Haphellna.'

Narissorin says 'Explain to me, why YOU should care.'

Narissorin slowly pushes his hair to the back of his neck, tying it 
in place loosely with a thin strip of leather.

You say 'Because I barter my existence to uncover truth and power. 
And what I deal with is about a matter not of undeath or death. But 
existence among the powerful, most cannot fathom.'

Narissorin whispers 'And what drew you to want power.'

Narissorin whispers 'Why does such appeal to you, to risk your very 
soul?'

Narissorin peers at you intently.

You say 'My desire to know and see, the truth of it. I cannot say 
its because I wish to slay thousands, as if some token prize'

You say 'But for the desire and knowledge. I am a scholar, after 
all'

Narissorin whispers 'A scholar of the forbidden, a scholar of death 
despite life, and a scholar as you say, of the very same guildhall 
I myself have found a place within.'

Narissorin whispers 'Intriguing.'

Pausing to think, Narissorin ponders what you have done.

Narissorin whispers 'I shall study what I can, concerning what you 
have stated.'

Narissorin whispers 'And I shall watch, you are now of the favored 
Haphellna.'

Narissorin whispers 'But you must prove yourself.'


Now among the favored, whatever that is to mean.. Haphellna has spoken briefly with
both the Chancellor and their Advisor on the Chasm. Zameida has made mention to 
Haphellna that her workings have caught some intrigue and consistantly seeks what
progress has been made.

The current quest Haphellna shall attempt has been been made with her pledge to
the Chasm. A tiring and perhaps fatal risk. It is kept secret as to not have
what the Coven would consider a defilement be known. For it will take quite some
magical and personal strength that Haphellna works for. 

So far her life has been filled with bitter battles. Each fall, especially to
Varks, has proven just how much more she must learn. These simple feats only
drive her completely mad to achieve and do better. For such simple battles must be
used to grow from and strengthen from. For they there are much bigger feats to
endure and face. And she must be ready.

The Totem of the Sun: Seeking to Splinter the Will of the Tree

Standing before a Totem in an elven village, Haphellna takes time to 
examine her surroundings. It's here that a relic of the the "Ancients" stands
often used by the most instictful of the Tree of Ages. An old elven
man shows compasion towards Haphellna, despite her wicked presence.

Haphellna has come to believe that these Totems are a vital defense
and a sacred protector of the world. Imbued with magic or celestial
powers. She has come to believe that if she is to bring about the
coming Era she must resist the Tree's effort to plant its root in
the current world. 

Surely this relic must then be destroyed. With the Totem's destruction
not only will it weaken their grip but it shall splinter the faith
and willpower of those who praise the "Ancients".  How to destroy the
Totem is still something of discover for Haphellna. 

She seeks yet the Chams embrace. She grows tired and they test her
patiance. Still she continues to slowly collect herself in strength
to fulfill her quest.

Haphellna hears a caw in the distance.

Glancing over the Totem, Haphellna fashions a small claw and slowly
traces it against the Totem. 

"Praise to the Sun!" chants the Elven Elder.

Haphellna turns her head towards the preacher. A caw she hears once more
as she grips her massive raven claw tighter and traces it slowly off the
Totem.

"Raven caws."

The Elven Elder looks at her with a curious look but still offering a 
compasionate smile.

Haphellna steps towards the elder and slits his throat.

As he falls to the ground she says, "His talons desire your soul. Fear not, 
I return you to your strength. Remember this. Remember me, Spirit."

He bleeds to death on the ground. 

"Fly swiftly, my beautiful Raven. To your desire I serve. We will see to 
it that Winter comes."

Haphellna slowly turns back to the Totem, tracing the Totem for potential 
possabilities.
