Description
The average heighted, burly arial before you has it's features
dominated by a massive bleached yellowish beak. Slightly above
it are two black watery eyes. The color of his feathers is of
gray white with occasional spots of deep humus. It is clear the
arial before you is rather old. His wings are larger than most arials
but are left slouching a bit as if heavy weights were tied to them.
The shoulders beneath which the wings rest are quite broad and the
arms which his talons end up on are long and stringly muscled. Small
strings of darkness linger about his armor.

The original intention was to futher explore Sekhuroths visions and contacts with
a king of one of the realms filled with lost souls who had interest in working with
Scion.
Haratzis orderly demeanor does not completely enjoy the idea of working with the
ccul'gra given their frequency in turning upon their masters in the past - something
which was brought up in a discussion with Lord Khasotholas. The dead on the other
hand are more ... orderly. In a greater sense bound by rules and hopefully easier to
control.
Of course, all that failed when Sekhuroths existence ended prematurely. Sensing no
alternatives Haratzi now turns to the Tower of Silence. The problem he is having
currently is to get all of his Scions into the Tower and breaking the rule of silence.
Once that can be done powerful artifacts can be used and unleashed. If the device
to cloud the skies exists then it would not be unlikely that it was or could have been
constructed by the Yridani. It would not seem completely unlikely that an archmage
from that time resided in the Tower still.
Haratzi can feel his comming of age and while planning to reach the demielemental
transcendance to avoid the problem of his aging shell he was told by Lord Twist
himself that a more advanced version of it likely was impossible - much to Haratzis
dismay.
Incidently. The chronomancer Nethlaarc from the Tower carried an elixir named longevity.
That seemed very interesting.
Leadership

Finally leadership over the Chasm. First as an advisor and then in complete control
as a chancellor. To steer the ship that is the Scions of the Eternal Night into a
new direction is the highest priority on Haratzi's mind.
While the former chancellor Kanaev was rather content in warring over the items of
power controlling the various factions of Thera, Haratzi is of a diffrent mind and
strives to gain more permanent achivements. The Expeditions are attempts to gain
theese successes. They are undertakings to undercover the secrets of Thera and learn
how to wield them with the deadly grace that is required when the time of the Prophecy
is at hand.
Small side projects exist to benefit the individual members of the Chasm. One of those
is to gain the items required for Sekhuroths lichedom. If the necromancer manages the
becomming process then that would be a major bolstering of the Chasms power. Another
project is the dreams of Victoria wherein she wields certain weapons fighting
displacer beasts down in the Underdark. It could be irrelevant but Haratzi supports it
none the less - hoping for interesting developments.
Once the time of the Prophecy is in sight it will finally be time to plan the comming
society. The new Order. The thought of the long journy between now, the time of the
Prophecy and all the way back to when Haratzi was but a small silent winged one watching
the illogical and flawed society of Arial City is overwhelming.
Excerpt from Haratzis notes

Project: Clouding of Thera
Description: To cover all of Thera in a dark cloud blocking sunlight
bringing it the eternal darkness required for the time of the Prophecy.
Problem: Means exist today to create clouds in the sky, or atleast affect
the weather in a manner that brings clouds. One can also through the elements
of air and ooze create a black cloud. The problem is that neither of theese
methods would make it sufficently great nor permanent.
Solution: Create or find an artifact and/or spell that would render theese
effects.
Method: Bargain with entities likely to know of an such an artifact or spell
or where it can be found.
Suggested entities in order of likelyhood to gain success:
- The Nightborn, Similar interest
- Twist, Favor for Nexus cause might intercede
- Cyradia, Unstable entity - irony of covering the world in a fog might entertain
- The Jagad, Unstable but might be sympathetic
Motives

The best way to achive and maintain as much power as possible is through
order. This order can be enforced on Thera through the Prophecy of the
Eternal Night.
In all orderly rulings there is ultimately one leader, one person who
directs everything with the most power at its fingertips.
That person needs to be Haratzi. Hence he tries to show as much dedication
as possible to the cause to demonstrate his worth and become a leader.
The idea for this came to Haratzi one day when he visited the temple of the
gods and studied one of the windows which exemplified his vision for the
future. An infernal city rising up to a black sky with spires of sooty iron.
Chained trails of slaves labor endlessly for cackling masters whose whips
never stay still for long. White-hot forges pour out the stuff of souls into
molds, arming an army of fiends ready for war at any time. A very few hold
an iron grip on all of this, their power nearly absolute and unchallenged,
and the immense power that they have is enough to make your head spin with
visions of avarice. There is nothing that they cannot have, no place they
cannot conquer.
Kanaevs death is rather imminent and Haratzi hopes to take his place. As
a leader the Planewalker has done little to actually futher the Prophecy.
This is something Haratzi will change and has already small plans developed
to contat the Jagad, the old beast who should hold a very similar desire
to bring forth the Night. Allying with that creature should provide a boost
similar to that which Lord Valguarnera once got from the dark god Jullias.
