Role
Introduction
Added Fri Sep 1 12:00:49 2023 at level 24:
Hjaldur grabbed his crude and broken drowish longsword with all his might, it
was time to slice up some sun rat bellies! With all his might he yelled "Fookn
get 'em orphans!" and from all the crevices and cracks the tunnels of Underdark
was swarmed with misfits of all kinds.
Hjaldur was quick to slice up the belly of a gnome, while another hairy misfit
sank her daggers in the back of the gnome. All in all, the fight was over as
quickly as it started.
Hjaldur gathered the loot, which was meagre as per usual and started handing
out to each of the younglings. It was quite often that this would result in
another fight, but Hjaldur was known for his temper and combat prowess so the
others didn't argue with their share.
When all was done Hjaldur said in a loud voice "End yer snivels ye lousy
weaklings, I am done with this and will face the flaming fireball in the sky
and all the sun rats, there is more for the taking and ye be too weak te join
me! Now fook off and grow a pair, cause this one is
off te slice sem bellies at the size of an Orangutans fanny!"
And so it was that Hjaldur, who grew up in the tunnels of Underdark as an
Orphan crawled up to the surface to claim wealth, power, and the chance te kill
some fookn sun rats!
Backstory
Added Fri Sep 1 12:02:07 2023 at level 24:
Hjaldur doesn't remember much of his earliest days, but he grew up with other
outcasts in the underdark tunnels, he lived on mushrooms and whatever spoils he
could find. He fought for his share of food, and had no problem stabbing a back
or two to get what he wanted. Being poor all his life goal is to become rich,
and the richest are dragons according to the whispers of the underdark. Thus
Hjaldur wants to find riches comparable to a dragon, but as a dragon it is
important to be strong enough to protect your riches.
Hjaldur has seen many orphans and outcasts come and go, seeing death or
suffering is just another day in his life. Using people to get what he wants is
the way to go, with no concern at all if they are a duergar or an elf, a good
life is served only to those that are strong
enough to claim it.
Joining the Empire
Added Fri Sep 1 12:03:11 2023 at level 24:
He has found himself joining the Empire, a bunch of people with the same
mindset as himself, or so he thinks. Hjaldur is quite paranoid when it comes to
friendly acts, nothing comes for free and if you want it, you take it. If you
aren't strong enough to take it, you trick someone and take it. The Empire
itself is of no big concern of his, he wished for a place to grow in combat and
plotting, and so after some research the Empire itself was the best place to
keep himself on his toes, so to say.
Apparently in the corridor writings of the blade sect, you should only trust
another blade. It sounds good but Hjaldur doesn't care at all. The strongest
blade will take what he wants, and give the spoils to the weaker ones, just as
in the tunnels. The other sects are of no interest,
they fight the same fight, but there is no trust.
The Prophecy unfolds itself!
Added Fri Sep 8 15:54:03 2023 at level 40:
Hjaldur has grown into the role of an Imperial Blade, his speech has changed
slightly as maturity and experience has blossomed through his body, he has
become more aware and gained more understanding of the Imperial Codex and the
Darkness and Order that upholds the power of Civilization.
------------------------------------------------------------------------
Hjaldur twists and turns in his chambers, he is dreaming of the Underdark, his
eyes piercing through the comfortable pitch-black darkness, his dreams takes
him to a cavern full of riches, a mighty dragon sleeping on top of his riches
with one eye open, his scales shimmering in the darkness and blinding Hjaldurs
vision. His vision of the dragon gently and slowly becomes one with the dragons
vision. Now Hjaldur is the dragon with his beautiful shimmering scales scaring
away all those that comes to try and take his immense treasure. A darkness
unfolds itself through the ground in the midst of the cavern and a duergar
holding a big dagger takes its shape, wearing a big crown and with a frown upon
his face, he is eerily similar to Emperor Drucin. Anger spreads through his
mighty scaled body as the Emperor has come to take his treasures away.
Hjaldur awakes with a dizzy expression upon his face, all tied up in sweat
soaked bedsheets. The prophecy and goal of his life has become clear Hjaldur
thought to himself, this is of course not a vision that encourages soaring to
great heights and achieving prosperity due to dragons being a symbol of power
and wealth.
No, this is to be taken literally, Hjaldur must become a dragon in all but
flesh. He must now become Emperor of Thera, clad in dragon armour, it is the
only way to become strong enough to keep his treasures to himself.
Everything must change, his warcry, his clothing, his philosophy of life, and
of course Hjaldur must look up how a dragon speaks, who can teach him this?
