Description
Before you stands Hudrud, a massive giant measuring about 15 feet tall. His
eyes are a piercing shade of amber, shining like two small suns. His muscles
are well-formed, displaying his immense strength in his arms, chest, and
legs. In his massive hands, he wields a large double-bladed axe that glimmers
with a razor-sharp edge. Other weapons are attached to his belt of crocodile
leather, ready for any battle that may come his way. He wears a cape of deep
blue hues, which billows in the constant wind that surrounds him. His rough
and weathered skin is a deep shade of emerald, marked with scars from
countless battles with sea monsters and other dangerous beasts. Long, unruly
locks of hair cascade down his broad shoulders, whipped about by the fierce
winds that constantly swirl around him.

Hudrud was born in a small and peaceful village, nestled in the midst of Thar
Eris, a vast and beautiful natural wonderland. Despite being home to people
of various races such as gnomes, humans, elves, and giants, the village
enjoyed a sense of freedom and harmony, as everyone lived according to their
own desires and without fear of the outside world.
However, as time went on, Hudrud began to notice that the idyllic way of life
in the village was under threat. Imperial soldiers had been spotted lurking
around, trying to recruit new soldiers for their army. Hudrud knew that the
arrival of the soldiers would only bring chaos and violence to their peaceful
way of life. Determined to protect his village and the natural beauty of Thar
Eris, Hudrud embarked on a mission to thwart the soldiers' plans. He rallied
his fellow villagers and together, they successfully drove the soldiers out
of their land.
But Hudrud knew that this was only the beginning. He had seen the devastating
effects of human greed and ambition on the land, with forests destroyed and
rivers polluted. One day, while resting in the shade of a leafy tree in the
forest, he was visited by a mysterious figure of light who told him that his
help was needed to restore and protect Thar Eris.
Intrigued and moved by the message, Hudrud sought the advice of the village
elders, who told him to seek out a place called Refuge. They said that he
would find kindred spirits there who shared his passion for nature and would
help him in his quest to defend and nurture the land. With renewed purpose,
Hudrud set out on a journey to find Refuge, facing many challenges and
meeting a variety of characters along the way. But he remained steadfast in
his determination to protect Thar Eris and preserve its beauty for
generations to come.
Hudrud and the Refuge - Chapter I

After a long and arduous journey, Hudrud finally arrived at the Refuge, where
he discovered a community of like-minded people committed to protecting Thar
Eris. He quickly joined the branch of the Wardens, a group dedicated to
defending the land against the defilers. As time passed, he made new
friendships with the Sentinels and the Reavers, from whom he learned various
combat techniques. But he knew something was missing. He discovered that Lord
Ergush was the spiritual leader of the Refuge, so he set himself ready to
travel for days, until one day he managed to find the sacred place, where he
conversed for hours with the apprentice of augur and upon saying goodbye,
Hudrud was given a mission and that at the end of it, if completed, he would
be able to gain even new powers from the blessings of the Lord. Without
saying anything to other members of the Refuge, he began his hunt. One day,
while he was walking around the outskirts of the Refuge, he came across a
group of dwarven warriors and others who were just along for the ride. The
warriors were armed to the teeth and seemed to be up to something. Hudrud
tried to reason with them, but they would not listen. A fierce battle ensued,
with Hudrud using all the techniques he had learned from the Reavers to fend
off the attacks of the dwarven warriors who were strong and fierce, but
Hudrud's determination to protect Thar Eris gave him the strength to keep
fighting. As the battle continued, Hudrud realised that the dwarves were not
just fighting for themselves, but under the command of a powerful master
warrior who wanted to conquer the lands around the Refuge. Hudrud knew he
could not let that happen. So he asked to fight only with their master
warrior so as not to shed more blood than necessary, and if Hudrud fell they
could continue what they were doing, destroying, mining, but if Hudrud was
the winner of the fight, the dwarves would leave the place with a promise
never to return. But they would not listen and so, with renewed vigour,
Hudrud fought with all his might, taking down dwarf after dwarf.

Suddenly he came face to face with the master warrior himself, a follower
of false laws as he carried with him the symbols of the great cities, a
formidable opponent who was known for his strength and cunning. Hudrud
knew he was at a disadvantage, but he did not let that stop him. He fought
with all his heart, using all the tricks he had learned from the Reavers to
outsmart the master warrior of the dwarves. In the end, he emerged
victorious, and the dwarven army withdrew and the master warrior never
returned. Hudrud left the battlefield feeling proud of himself, knowing that
he had defended Thar Eris against a powerful enemy.
After a few days rest, Hudrud went to speak again
with his apprentice, but to his surprise, the one who appeared was none other
than Lord Ergush himself with whom he stayed talking for a few hours, and
after speaking of the battles he had faced defending Thar Eris, he was
blessed to continue his journey. He left the shrine with renewed energy and
very happy. He also knew that there would be more battles ahead and that he
would have to continue to hone his skills if he wanted to protect Thar Eris
from anyone who wanted to harm her. But he was ready for whatever lay ahead,
knowing that he had the support of the Wardens, Sentinels, Reavers and the
blessings of the elder spirits.

Hudrud began to question his recent attitudes and the way he had been dealing
with the defilers of Thar Eris, especially the Lightwalkers. Although he knew
they posed a threat to the natural balance, he began to feel that fighting
them with brute force was not the only solution. Determined to find a more
peaceful approach, he sought Sunwarden's guidance as he knew him to be a wise
and experienced man who mastered the art of diplomacy and understanding.
For hours, Hudrud and the Sunwarden immersed themselves in a deep
conversation about how to defend Thar Eris without resorting to violence.
Sunwarden shared ancient stories and teachings, showing Hudrud that there
were other ways to protect nature and restore its ancient splendor. He taught
about the importance of mutual understanding, empathy, and finding peaceful
solutions.
Inspired by Sunwarden's words, Hudrud decided to embark on a journey of
personal transformation. He knew he needed help to get away from the Reavers
and find his true path. The Reavers, were getting closer and closer to him,
threatening to corrupt his spirit and lead him to the dark side.
