Description
A man, covered in scars over all over his body, where visible, is
before you with ebony colored skin. Fierce crimson eyes peer out
with a deep hatred behind them. He has long, white hair that is
loosely braided, a white rough looking beard and mustache to
follow. He has an X like scar on his left check, what looks like
a claw swiped over his right eye scar as well. He is battle worn
and has been through many fights. He is clothed in dark murky
leather armor that is well maintained but has seen it's share of
use. Around his neck is a necklace that has a icon of the viper
attached to it.
Role
Ancient gods of territorial xenophobia and bloodshed

Once a young dark-elven man who wandered the underdark carefree, he enjoyed his
simple youth, exploring and learning of the beast of his home. He was accustomed
to the wildlife and it's dangers, it was his peace in a sense. He was but a
normal scout for Teth-Azeleth. It was his duty for his people to do such.
It was a simple way of life and he did it for many years in in his youth
but as most things seem to happen, Idrepi became unique as he uncovered
something on his patrol. He had found something not seen in the underdark,
a hidden crevice that he became curious about and traversed, which lead him
to some sort of odd altar, an alter of a spider and a snake entangled
together. He didn't understand what it meant, but obviously he knew of the two
clans, those who lived under the Spider Goddess, and those under the Viper.
They were separated, due to the way they believed the dark-elven civilization
should be structured.
Regardless of all this, the statue was alluring to Idrepi, he found himself
entranced by it, to the point he could not resist and he touched it.
Agonizing pain jolted through his entire body, his mind felt like it
was splitting, until finally it eased and an omni-directional voice
echoed inside of his head. A terrifying, yet soothing, demeaning, yet
uplifting, cold, yet warm, so many ways to explain it, yet never truly
understand it's complexity. The voice of an old god that had laid a curse upon
Idrepi with a set of instructions that had overtaken his mind and set him
on a course filled with hatred. "Push out those that invade our home. Fill the
underdark with blood of those who relish in the sun who think they can linger
in the given home of the dark-elves. Do not stay your blade from the other races
that try to claim your birth right Idrepi."
Idrepi eventually recovered from this invasion of his mind. Years had gone by
as the hatred had set into his heart boiled and festered inside of him.
His eyes only saw red as he began a path of spilling blood of those
who would invade the underdark. While he seemed rather insane at times living
in his on desire for destruction, he still kept to his enjoyment of the
wildlife and beast of the Underdark, tending to the creatures and familiarizing
himself as a ranger, but his lust for destruction would not limit himself to
only protecting the underdark, but unto Thera itself, for if they invade
his home, he would go out into the world and slaughter them there before
they had the chance.
A purpose of Shadows and Destruction

Perhaps some sort of madness has set in over the years, or the hatred of
the other races is ingrained in Idrepi's mind, but a darkness beyond any
other has set itself deep within, seeking to not only shed it's terror
amongst that of the underdark, but even to bring that darkness upon the sun
drenched world above.
What does this mean though, what is it Idrepi seeks? The calm that he once
knew in his head is nearly gone and at times, he doesn't trust himself even
traveling with others that are not of his blood, who aren't dark-elves. Yet,
he wants to convert the world, to change it, to destroy it and make it anew
some how?
Something has drawn him to the chasm, the calling of the Eternal night, the
secrets of darkness and despair. A place that studies the shadows itself and
it's planes. He is drawn to this, to perhaps put in motion a plan to bring
destruction and change to the world as it is, to blot out the sun and have the
darkness of the underdark be shared upon the surface of those who bathe in the sun.
Purpose or madness, the search for the voice

This voice that has I felt so many years ago, it felt like a womans.
This curse that I've been afflicted with, was I always so belligerent towards
those who weren't dark-elven? It's not abnormal for us to hunt those
who aren't kin in the underdark, but it also isn't abnormal that my kin
also mingle with other races and societies. Most prominently the half-drow being
a bond between human and dark-elf, but was I like this before that day when I
was cursed by touching that altar, the one that has been lost ever sense?
Regardless of such, this is my affliction, though with my growth in the
the shadows, my hatred is not so prominent, as my goals are larger now.
I search to find the source of this ancient voice, this deity that has
filled me with such, yet I feel guides me to a much darker goal, of change,
of destroying stagnation.
I felt as if I were lead to seek out the Scions, which was something
I had accomplished, my story to the chancellor was that I sought to bring
the shadows from the shadow plan to the surface, to share that darkness
with the surface, similarly to the darkness of the underdark. While this
is partially true to some extent, I am solely uncertain of the true purpose
that has lead me to where I am, but I know I have some sort of purpose
some sort of goal, or perhaps am I aimless? I cannot tell. Am I just a
whimsical storm of destruction, sent here to cause pain, suffering, change
and reshape things, even if just a little bit? Regardless, the first
thing is to figure out who it was that entered my mind, or what it was.
After many years of trying to determine such, I have come under the
suspicion that it was Ocaiye, though I suppose I shall need to find her
domain first, to garner her attention, or perhaps it was just madness
and hallucinations.
The musings of a Beast master wanting to tame an indomitable beast
Added Fri Feb 16 13:11:02 2024 at level 51:
In all my travels of the underdark, there have always been fascinating creatures
that I have come in contact with. I have learned much about them all. The
Cavefishers, the Fungoids, the many different types of insects. Even the
many different breeds of marine life in the underdark sea, but none have
fascinated me as much as the displacer beast. Similarly to the Cavefischer's,
these beast are strong and capable, but they tend to be have a more pack
mentality.
Recently I encountered their pack, as they were out for a hunt. The hunger in
in their eyes were clear, and their intent to kill strong, there was something
more behind it. A certain intelligence, or obedience behind it. While I
bested the beta I was fighting, in a desperate attempt, it struck me with a
paralytic bite, that left me unable to move, and instead of killing me, it
took me to the lair of it's Alpha. I was never more thrilled as I had never
experienced this in my youth before, perhaps if I did, I'd be dead already.
As we approached each other, staring each other down, the alpha and I danced
a dance of death like two wild beast trapped in the caves. It's shimmering form
phasing in and out existence, as my spear would reach it from time to time, it's
tendrils lashing about me, tripping me up and a bite here and there, tearing
flesh as my blood splattered. I called upon my trained wargs to come fight this
beast with me, though it was clever and handled it well, it ultimately was
defeated. I had thought perhaps after beating the alpha, the other betas would
perhaps fall in line and allow me to tame them, but perhaps there is something
deeper to them I am misunderstanding. I will try to understand them further.
