Description

A colossal beast stands before you clad in mirrored armor etched with intricate patterns of the sun, stars, dragons and flames. His darkened skin emits a faint crimson glow much like the glow around a charcoaled wood still burning from the inside. His piercing gaze is through blood-red eyes that flicker menacingly. Flowing copper hair escapes his helm at the back and falls loosely down his plated armor.

An Advisor's Observations

I don't remember when Igos first came to the Empire.

I've served as a trade advisor here for the better part of a Drowish century
and as long as I can recall he's been here as well. A true brute, a champion
of the Blade Hall, a survivor.

As a Drow I understand the nuances of politics. In truth, I saw the demise of
the last few Emperors long before it played out on the Grand Stage that is 
Imperial politics. But Igos.. Igos didn't see much other than what was directly
in front of him. He lacks the understanding of these diplomatic nuances but his
zealous indulgence of the Fire Giant's "One Law" saw him through the storm.

And now he is the last man standing.

And that makes him important.

Even more important than just a mere War Master.

As such, I will document all I know of the Great Champion, conquerer of the
Wildlands, and exile from the Nine Hells.

The Bloody Flowers

I don't know where Igos took the Oath. I'm not even sure why he chose to swear
himself to the Great Throne. What I do know is that he came to us with quite
the reputation. As a young man he cut down a ragtag army of Fortress Squires in
the Valley of Ardenyl which resulted in literal rivers of blood which stained
the fresh spring valley, turning all the flowers to a mucky red. As such he was
forever known as Igos Bloodflowers. The first of many accolades to come.

Igos was always a student of death, you see. He was adept at it in part because
he never feared it. His mind, while simple, is focused only on what is directly
ahead of him. For much of his life that conquest has been aimed at the Nine Hells.
These expeditions were fruitful. Unprecedented, even. Igos stood tall over many
Devils, pitfiends and looked the Prince of Darkness himself in the eyes more than
once.

Then, Charon would no longer allow him to cross the river of souls. I don't know
if there are flowers in Hell but Igos had shed so much blood that even the Hells
would not have him.

What a majestic beast he is, our War Master, the Field General of Bloody Flowers.

The Manifestation of the One Law.

The Ashes of Empires

Now, it's no secret to any student of history that Empires come and Empires go.
There are artistic peaks such as the reign of Emperor Gaspare. There are Ages
defined by militaristic dominance like those under Emperors Nazarates and Glikhardiz.
Then there are also the low Valleys of Emperors like Merf and Duraksandr.

While Igos lends strength and Dark Honor to his Hall he has had little control
over the rest of this Empire. Solraen was a fair yet feminine leader. Igos never
cared much for his obesession with the Unseen over the easily obtainable but he
respected Solraen's abilities. When Solraen was cast out Igos shed no tears. The
Divine Lords of Empire will raise the council, after all.

Igos voted for Tyree. I know this because as a Shadow it is my job to know. It
was a fair vote as he felt Tyree was the best option simply because Tyree was not
a Morian. Igos has become suspicious.. no, annoyed... by the cult of Morius with
their constant preaching and lack of action. He didn't much care who sat on the
Throne as long as they weren't going to force him to attend Church and bend knee
to a Lord he does not worship.

But alas, Tyree didn't last. And as I alluded to before we are left with one man
standing. A Titan of a man.

Igos Bloodflowers, the Infernal Exile, Conqueror of Nations, Destroyer of Kings.

The Coming War

Will the Immortal Lords of Empire allow Igos to redefine this Age? Of that, I do
not know. I do know from my obersations what Igos plans to do if given the opportunity:

He will declare a total war on all Theran cabals until knees are bent and tithes
are paid. While the Spire is an exception to this the exception is slight as Igos
expects loyalty from the Provost and yes, taxes.

Igos will also build a council based on the merits of the One Law. No more space
filling warm bodies who only breed failure.

He will demand higher donations from all citizens. Long gone are the days of free
rides.

Will citizens kill for their Emperor? Will they die for him? He intends to find out
by testing each against the principles of the One Law.

If he is not awarded the crown I wager he will do what he has always done: Conquer,
destroy and raze.

Many more flowers will be painted in the blood of the unworthy.
