Description
Garbed in tightly fitting armor that covers most of his body the tall arial
before could best be described as drab. His armor is all dyed black and
shades of gray, matching the small gray feathers that cover him where armor
does not. Beady black eyes stare out over a glossy black beak sharply hooked
at its end.

Unlike many of his race Ijion has devoted himself to an art of meditation and
enlightenment, quietly mastering the inborn hyper-activity of his kind. One of
the results is that he appears much more reserved, spending long periods of
time in contemplation, speaking quietly if at all and moving with slow
deliberateness. All of which is belied the moment he moves into action with
fierce determination. The other result is that in his search for
enlightenment he has found his code of honor. Tapping into his own inner
strength he looks with disdain on a world filled with a people who seem
unable or unwilling to live on their own strengths, instead choosing the easy
path of magic, deceit or strength of numbers. Deep within his calm these
observations often ignite a spark of anger, but mostly pity.
Of gods and fate.

Some of his art meditate only on themselves, others reflect on their gods,
Ijion walks a path of both. His meditations are devoted to exploring his own
depths, yet he also prays to the spirit that he believes eptiomizes that path
of honor he tries to tread. Destroyed by a world unable and unwilling to
accept the ways of honor, as Ijion fully expects will one day be his fate, he
none the less prays to the spirit of Balgrimnr.

The Culling.
Added Sun Jun 10 17:15:42 2007 at level 21:
Living an honorable life is wonderful, a true accomplishment in a world where
honor has been in its death throes for centuries, but Ijion has begun to
realize it is not enough. Perhaps his own honor might inspire a few to strive
for the same, maybe, but it would change little. The world would still
continue its degenerative spiral and all would lose meaning. What is needed
is more aggressive action, a curtailing of those without honor. A culling.
