Description
The figure before you stands with haunted eyes, her gaunt face
staring about. Her hair is grayed, loose, and oddly thin as
if aged or ghastly. However, her thin skin clings to her frame
and seems marred not by fire, time, or scars but almost as if
macerated. A few light armors and natural items cover her
remaining body, and you see the effects of a collar once around
her skinny neck. She moves with the gait of one long
disoriented from the lands, searching and seeking.

The sea rocked mercilessly, casting the great ship 'Iron & Wine' and its crew
violently about. The young herbalist tended to the many long sick from the
voyage. Even the pallor of the captain turned long ago.
As if the treachery of sea was not enough, the northern sky suddenly darkened
all the more. Flashes of lightning crashed about, each strike nearing the
massive ship, when suddenly a canopy of violet electricity grew from above
the mast to below the ship. The violence silenced like the eye of a great
hurricane, the ship suddenly weightless, floating above the churning waters.
Silence so thick it felt more like a deafening, the atmosphere gone from the
sphere of purple lights. It was then that a constant arcing chain from the
top of the sphere came upon the woodland herbalist.
**BOOM**
The silence shattered, the waves renewed in vigor as the boat set back upon
the sea. In the tossing and turning, the seafarers turned to the herbalist,
her eyes aglow in similar violet fire, her expression blank. The dwarven
guard nearest her reached for his club, sacking her, and without a word the
men hoisted and threw the limp woof-elf overboard.
Calm seas swiftly came.Word later traveled from port to port of the ship
gone at sea for fifty years without age to the crew or contents.

Listlessly the body of the wood-elf sank, deeper and deeper, her open eyes
seeing all from a subconscious state. Past eel and whale, past kuo-toa
raiders and ancient turtles, the currents and weight took her deeper still, a
place without light but her eyes yet seeing.
The boorm, the flow of time, ceaselessly taking her down. All the while
whispers of an alien tongue echoed in her head, giving way to visions,
insights, and history of eons and dimensions. Someone, or some thing,
reaching out.
She came to know the Shape of Water.
She came to know the elder evils.
She came to know the Violet Flame, Y'Chak.
The eel-like creatures encircled her, curious, but kept at bay.Even the
loremaster could not pierce her mind nor enslave her. In the distance the
obelisk hummed and vibrated in frequency unheard of. Concern came over the
aboleths, concern over the platinum dragon long held captive.
They did not know and would not know the plans of Y'Chak. A brilliant pillar
of violet flames, untouched by the water, erupted in the midst of the
aboleths. When it ceased, the wood-elf was gone.
