Description
A male wood-elf stands here wearing simple clothing of light brown
and greens. Light blue eyes the color of a crystalline pool look
out from the elegant contours of his angular face framed by the
signature pointed ears of his kin. Dark brown hair reminiscent of
fertile soil falls past his shoulders in a long, single braid. A
series of burn scars trail from his right shoulder down to his
wrist, marring his otherwise ivory skin and serving as a reminder
of past perils he has faced. Measuring at six feet in height, his
muscular physique paired with the blades sheathed at his waist are
a testament to his martial training. His love of nature is evident
from the dirt and detritus that covers him to the wild scent that
follows after him.

Immediate Family
Unknown - Abandoned as a babe to the druids in Holy Grove
Ilanrion was raised to be a peaceful druid, but never found an answer
to his prayers. It left him unsatisfied but hoping for it to get better
without knowing it never would.
A fire giant anti-paladin came and set the woods on fire chasing a ranger,
and Ilanrion found himself reacting even if foolishly. He knocked the
giant over and allowed the ranger to escape, only to be knocked to the
ground by a flaming tree.
He woke later alive but with some burn scars. He was told to go find his
place, as this grove was not it. He left his home and found another in
the warrior's guild, feeling at peace with himself while training in
combat. He learned of the Village of BattleRagers there and will seek
to build a hut.

Peace and Violence

A loud clash rang through the peaceful air to make Ilanrion open his eyes
in an instant, searching for the danger that so often haunted his home in
the Holy Grove. A duergar was matching blades against a storm giant in a
close fight. His breathing settled as he realized they were so caught up
in their battle that they would not notice him nestled in a tree top. The
giant soon retreated, but the damage was done. Shattered glass from used
potions, pools of blood, and remnants of cloth and armor littered the
forest floor. Ilanrion soon saw the druids of the grove begin to clean up
the mess to restore the natural order. They had raised him since he was
left in the forest as a babe. He was taught to heal and nurture, but never
to harm.
His life was one of both quiet peace with sudden violence that was always
jarring. He had watched battle after battle, death rampaging through the
forest just because of an odd trapdoor that so many went through. Ilanrion
struggled to keep his heart at peace when the violence spread to the trees
he called home. He was young for a wood-elf and tried to still his heart
and follow their way, but his prayers were never touched by nature like
theirs did. They said it will come with time, but he began to wonder.
Fires

Seasons came and passed as Ilanrion studied with the druids. He had found
some talent with herbs, but was never able to make the glows that came
from their prayers. His heart was not at peace, he wanted more of his
life. He didn't know exactly what he wanted more of. While he sat
daydreaming when he was supposed to be communing with nature, he saw a
man run through from the road and hide in the trees. The man did not see
him, he just sat trying to staunch the bleeding on several severe wounds.
A large fire giant came behind him, throwing balls of fire that set the
trees on fire with a wide grin visible on his face as he pursued his prey.
The man looked panicked as the giant came closer.
Ilanrion was outraged, fury coming over him as his home was so casually
set on fire. He wore no armor and carried only a basic dagger of obsidian.
He had not trained to fight, but the call of battle came to him. He rushed
at the fire giant and knocked into him right as he set a different tree on
fire. He did not trip the giant so much as caused him to stumble, but the
effect was enough that he fell forward onto the ground. The man behind the
tree ran further into the woods to safety. Ilanrion started to stand before
the great tree on fire before him fell and landed on both the giant and
him. He passed out from the pain.

As Ilanrion began to wake he felt pain so strongly he fell back asleep.
Hours later he finally managed to wake, though the pain still felt
overwhelming. As he opened his eyes, he saw a familiar sky above him
and a druid who gave him something to drink. He was so thirsty, so
gulped it down and was in another deep sleep from the herbs within his
body. This continued for days until he finally was able to wake and
stand. He looked down and saw he was whole and healthy, if a bit weak.
There were a nasty set of burns along his right arm, but otherwise he
was well.
A druid in front of him said, 'You are awake, good. You have healed
well. It has been our pleasure having you, but it is time for you to
find your place in the world. We had hoped it would be with us, but
perhaps our fondness for you made us hold out hope for too long. That
was a foolish fight you picked and you are only alive because the
giant thought you dead'.
Ilanrion looked up at him, saw the gentle love in his eyes and knew
this was not an easy decision for them to have made. With tears
falling down his cheeks he said, 'Thank you for raising me'. He then
walked out of his home to seek a place to learn.
Guilded

Ilanrion was presented with heading east or west upon the long road,
and trusting his intuition he went west. He found the warrior's guild
off the main trade road through Galadon. He decided to try his hand
there first, and it was only a small surprise when he found himself
holding a sword in hand as if he had always held one. The town was
not nearly as comforting as the trees of his home. Everyone was rude
and in a hurry to be somewhere. He preferred to do as he please, free
to train or eat or sleep as he may. It never truly felt like home,
and he found himself frequenting the forests around him when he was
homesick.
Combat felt as natural as lying in the branches of a tree to Ilanrion,
the sounds of blade ringing against blade providing a music much like
the birds that make the forest come alive. As he became more familiar
with the guildmaster, they started to learn of him and why he fought.
They were not surprised to hear of his home burning, and guided him
to the Village of BattleRagers where he would one day build a hut and
join.
