Role
House Esszyn Del'Aztir
Added Sun Oct 2 18:18:15 2022 at level 43:
His house was seen as strong among other houses in Teth Azeleth, certainly in
the strongest ten. It had been that way for ages upon ages. House Esszyn
Del'Aztir was not one of war-priests and clergymen. It's full might was reliant
upon a strong army and powerful sorcery. The house preferred to keep to its own,
having few real allies among the other houses. Other noble houses did send ranks
of small elite soldiers to train at House Esszyn Del'Aztir. The house had just
as few enemies as it did allies. Though the soldiers of House Esszyn Del'Aztir
were well known in reputation, the mages of the house were what struck true fear
into the hearts of their few enemies as they rose and quickly fell.
House Esszyn Del'Aztir was not one that sought high standing and complete
domination of the other houses, though it was hypothesized that if they wanted
to rule they could have. Mostly they wished to be left to themselves and their
own discoveries and the other houses were willing to keep this unspoken truce.
It was certainly one of the more wealthy houses, having been paid for ages by
other houses for training as well as their own explorations into other planes
and all over Thera proper. The dark-elves of the house had a strict social
construct of which one was born into their rank and social standing. It was
highly unusual for dark-elves to be given the opportunity to rise above their
station or be taught the greater magics if they were not born into the
opportunity. Should however something befall the elite mages of the house and a
spot was opened that could not immediately be filled by birthright, there were
situations that enabled talented mages of lower standing to rise.
As we now have an understanding of the history of House Esszyn Del'Aztir, we can
move on to the specific individual for which this content is intended to shed
light upon: Iliunezyn Esszyn Del'Aztir
Cause of Personality and Vanity Origins
Added Sun Oct 2 18:24:40 2022 at level 43:
Iliunezyn Esszyn Del'Aztir was born into a life of ease and luxury. As something
of an extreme rarity in the drow familial circle, he was coddled even. His
bloodline was one of the top three of the house and a cross of two of the most
powerful sorcerers of House Esszyn Del'Aztir. He was given all the resources
necessary to become a sorcerer with enough talent to be known throughout the
Underworld and beyond. His mother, however, did not create a challenging world
for him to overcome through hardship. She made his early life easy. She gave him
all the spells, she filled his head with visions of grandeur and the knowledge
that HE would soon rule over all the noble drow houses. She planted seeds that
would have been considered poisonous by other rulers of the house. She WANTED
him to overtake all other leaders of the house and then take over drow society
with her as his most trusted advisor. For these reasons she secretly gave him a
very special 'link' to the central power of the house that was tied into the
negative energies of the Underdark itself. He would use this power as a crutch
as he focused on his growth in skills and abilities, and through it he was far
more powerful than his peers.
And so he grew in power and knowledge. He was taught that all other drow were
beneath him, he studied with few of them. Each small cadre he joined created
lifelong enemies for himself. He was obsessed with his image. No, not with his
image among others and how he was viewed, but rather how he viewed himself. He
had a natural affinity for shapeshifting magic and it was towards this he
gravitated. At first he learned of the small augmentations of his body, various
scales, fangs, and claws, but later he was focused on the lesser forms and
greater forms of the Underdark. His mother brought him in both lesser and
greater beasts for him to study directly. She utilized an Aboleth slave to
control their minds as Iliunezyn walked around them carefully with a critical
eye and a scalpel, severing skin, tentacles, claws, talons, and any other oddity
of the creature. It was the displacer beasts ability to shift reality and fold
space that truly caught his early fantasies. Unfortunately it was the Underdark
itself that the house drew power from. Iliunezyn would eventually be at a great
loss upon reaching the surface world and being so far separated from his house
and focused power, the sun and light making it impossible to sense any of the
negative energies that populated House Esszyn Del'Aztir. Upon reaching the
surface he would have to relearn everything he once had mastered, without the
aid of greater sorcerers or links to dark magic. He would be in the lowliest of
guilds as fresh as a babe. But getting to that...
Development of Enemies Within and Without the House
Added Sun Oct 2 18:29:13 2022 at level 43:
The other masters of the house all knew what his mother had done. Of course they
were greatly offended but secretly curious as to how receiving such power at
such a young age would play out in the long run. Even if her child became the
most powerful sorcerer of their lineage, he would still be bound to follow the
rules and structure that made their house what it was.
Though he had very thin permission to live from the masters of the house, he
created for himself a very hostile and dangerous environment with his peers, and
especially those of lower standing then himself. He treated those truly beneath
him like common slaves and he treated his peers like those beneath him. Whats
worse, he was lazy. He didn't NEED to learn the basic spells everyone else did
because he was born into them. He was able to manipulate great feats of magic
with the slightest understanding. He had access to great items of power that
further boosted his abilities and self-protections. Talismans that made his
flesh impenetrable, clocks that made time slow down for everyone else but him,
knives that could capture the soul of those they killed. He was untouchable. He
was powerful. He was lazy. He over indulged in any pleasures he sought be it
food or slave. He kept his body in peak physical condition through body
augmentation. As he grew older he shocked everyone by foregoing any clothing or
robes as he traveled through the house. He felt his naked body was a gift for
all the others to see and admire. He gave himself a great set of ebony antlers
that could retract or expand at will. He did not hear the snickers that followed
in his wake and if he did he knew that jealousy was common among the rabble. His
mother was slightly embarrassed but after the first slam of power and fury into
her from his anger at attempts to discuss it she let the matter go. He had
finally become more powerful than even her.
And so his reputation fell and fell. He was the first in line to inspect new
found discovered artifacts, typically keeping them if he favored them and the
masters had no claim on them. He was challenged once and only once directly by a
peer. She was proud and angry at him for speaking down to her when she made a
slight mistake. She called him out to a spell battle, as was her right, and as
she was setting the terms of the engagement he removed an odd looking device. It
was black and looked like a water-logged stick, though not a wand. He simply
stated her name and snapped the stick. His challenger was turned to dust and
ash. He dropped the remnants of the artifact as if it was nothing and simply
walked away. Those gathered round were infuriated at the breech of tradition and
etiquette but dared not say anything.
Conspiracies and Mirrors
Added Sun Oct 2 18:33:00 2022 at level 43:
It was at this moment the conspiracy against him truly began. His enemies knew
they likely couldn't take him down from anything external, but they devised a
way that worked brilliantly to take him down from within. Better still, it was
through a basic illusion where if he had bothered to learn even the basics, he
would have seen right through the trick.
A small black mirror was slipped into a collection of artifacts quietly. It was
given enough energies to thrum and practically call out with magical power.
Iliunezyn was furious when he discovered it and realized nobody had told him of
this new artifact. He snatched it up and looked at himself while prodding it a
little with his talent. Angrily he demanded to know how it was used and what it
did. One of his peers was the brother of the sorcerous he slayed in the
'challenge'. He let Iliunezynv know that the mirror was a great object of power
that could only be used once but whomever invoked its power could see their very
distant future. He reminded Iliunezyn that the masters had not approved it's use
for anyone. Iliunezyn didn't think twice. He invoked it's power and he saw...
A bleak landscape of chaotic ruin, great lights of energy and wild magics flying
wildly in the distance like so many small storms. Power thrummed all around and
all around portals opened and closed. Portals, when viewed, showed other worlds
and other planes. Creatures poured in and out of the portals, dark little
demonlings or imps, Iliunezyn wasn't sure. They were black with wings and tails,
some, and they themselves had auras of great magic around them showing their
proclivity to magical talent. Upon a black thrown made of the skull of a great
beast sat Iliunezyn. He was nude but for the mirror he held, he was clearly
ruling over the thousands of little demon creatures as several were listening to
what he was saying before flying off into a portal and winking out of existence.
Here upon the throne of a great beast Zinezsyn clearly ruled over several worlds
at once. Iliunezyn from his throne looked directly at Iliunezyn in the mirror
and gave a slight smile. Such a beautiful creature and vision to behold.
...the mirror faded. Iliuneszyn was forever changed. House Esszyn Del'Aztir was
suddenly far too small for a mage of his talents. He was fit to rule not only
this entire world, but those beyond. And so he began to plan for his future, of
course his mother wouldn't be happy but his power far surpassed her own and
she'd never expect him to lash out at her fatally. Of course that is exactly
what he did. It was one of his final acts as a member of House Esszyn Del'Aztir.
Reality and Rebirth
Added Sun Oct 2 18:35:53 2022 at level 43:
He had never been one to think things through, as thinking things through
required far too much time and consideration. He fell right for the plots used
against him he didn't even realize it. He will not even know he is the laughing
stock of Esszyn Del'Aztir and will continue to be so for ages. As far as the
leaders of the House were concerned his mother got exactly what was coming to
her and was the victim of her own lazy attempts at grasping power.
Once the scroll of transportation was ready to be used he didn't hesitate. He
left behind the life of a powerful sorcerer of House Esszyn Del'Aztir and
emerged into the Sultans Palace Courtyard of Hamsah Mu'tazz during peak
daylight. Nude. Completely severed from his magical powers that were tied to his
House. A rudimentary mage at best. The common folk were slightly surprised at
this ranting lunatic but such things were not uncommon in the world of Thera. He
was clearly angry, upset, and afraid but nobody really knew what he was saying
anyway. He clearly was new to the surface world so they did what they did when
all randomly appearing oddly possessed creatures showed up that showed any hint
of real intelligence.
They poked and prodded and herded him into the Great Temple of Hamsah Mu'tazz,
yelling and pointing down to a set of stairs near the donation urns. He
frustratingly threw up his hands and allowed himself to be led down the stairs
where his future would begin anew.
A Grand Summary
Added Sun Oct 2 18:38:43 2022 at level 43:
Born into a wealthy and powerful 'politically neutral' House of drow called
Esszyn Del'Aztir.
Mom was one of the more powerful leaders of the house.
He was coddled and allowed access to House energies early (like a cabal item)
before he knew how to cast even basic spells.
This power was used as a crutch and gave him an extreme edge over all his peers.
Lack of hardship growing up made him soft and lazy. Coddling from his mother
made him extremely vain.
As he grew in great power from the gifts he was given his mother decided to use
him to take over the House and then the city with her as an advisor. He killed a
peer by cheating in a spell battle in front of everyone and gained the true
hatred of all around.
A fellow mage set him up to see a fake vision of him ruling over not just the
city, surface, or world, but entire planes of existence and multiple worlds from
atop a throne of a great beast.
Teth-Azeleth became far too small at that point and he defied his mother,
killing her, and teleported to the surface world to begin his domination. Upon
arrival he realized he was severed from House Esszyn Del'Aztir's power and he
himself had very little magical experience or power to draw upon, he was at best
a rudimentary mage (level 1).
Seeing him naked and ranting crazily in the searing sunlight, the locals herded
him into the steps of the Great Academy of Thera.
His new life as a near powerless shapeshifter has begun, if he wishes to be a
powerful sorcerer again he must learn all the lessons he skipped over as a
child, he must grow his power naturally through his own efforts....or cheat his
way into them somehow.
A Religious Shortcut to his Destiny?
Added Mon Oct 3 13:07:47 2022 at level 47:
He muttered to himself once more as he stared down at the aged parchment the
library servant retrieved for him. He had been spending a lot of time in the
dark alcoves of the Great Library of Hamsah Mu'tazz. Like some..ingrate student.
Like some imbecile that needed to study spells to know them. And yet that is
exactly what he was of late. It had been several years since his master plan
had...mixed success. He left his lavish life of power and fame behind in House
Esszyn Del'Aztir. Of course his House likely feels the loss of such a powerful
figure and they likely mourned him for weeks. Yet he would never go back now. He
had not realized the powers afforded to him from the House magics would not
transfer with him to the surface world. He has been feeling that sting, nay,
that grievous stab, since he teleported into this cursed dry brightness of a
city.
He has resented every moment of growth in the guild. Having to WORK for
knowledge, having to EARN even the most basic of beasts by pleasing the
guildmaster. Though he has resented every ounce of effort he's had to feed into
his own power, he has pride in what he has achieved. Perfection of forms. No
beasts of the Underdark that he would have learned had he remained in the House,
but beasts of the surface world. And even greater than that, beasts of a
perfectly morose and haunting nature. The darker forms suit him and his goals,
though their power is vastly weak, or at least he still doesn't have the perfect
understanding of how to wield them. Yet he grows more and more powerful day by
day.
The visions he had from the mirror are not nearly realized in his life and he
grows impatient. His fate clearly showed him he would rule over many worlds. He
has not begun to comprehend how this will take place, hence his time spent in
the accursed library. He has become powerful, but certainly not 'take over this
world and all the others' powerful.
He receives odd looks as he walks around the desert city at night. Looks that he
finds offensive. He grows more and more frustrated as each day passes, and he is
tempted to invest his precious time in religion to fill the void and give
himself a boost of power.
In the market one day he heard a raving lunatic preaching of 'Father Morius'.
The lunatic spoke of power beyond his wildest dreams, of benevolence and giving.
Iliunezyn has seriously considered manipulating this God to do his bidding, yet
he is concerned the lunatic may have been simply crazed with fever. After all
the fellow was wearing rags and allowed himself to be manhandled out of the
Market. But still, even the lowliest of god could perhaps be manipulated to
present him with greater powers, knowledge..it is simply a matter of figuring
out whether this Morius is worthy of his time and attention. Does he really want
to tie his fate of world ruling to another? Perhaps he could somehow take what
desires from the god and cast him aside. Decisions decisions.
Faith and Fate
Added Wed Oct 5 11:12:03 2022 at level 51:
Upon arrival to the Church of Virtuous Vices Iliunezyn was slightly impressed.
Perhaps this Vitiatic Faith had meat to it after all. He prayed that the God
would come down to him and take his measure, knowing Morius would be quite
impressed. Iliunezyn, after all, is likely the most powerful, stunningly
beautiful, and most intelligent creature to walk the aisle of said church. Yet
Morius didn't come. Iliunezyn was at first offended. Who was Morius to deny him
an audience? Iliunezyn spent valuable time and attention seeking out the God
after all. Perhaps Iliunezyn would have to do something more interesting to gain
attention. Perhaps Iliunezyn would come with followers of his own next time.
He came across a falcon in the sky, one that had a creature in tow much like the
ones from his vision. He spoke to her, Danssha, and offered enough information
to be interesting while taking more information than giving. Danssha spoke of
the Scions of Eternal Night. Iliunezyn knew this was a leap in the right
direction of the pool of fate chosen for him. Iliunezyn truly believes his
destiny is already chosen and that he is meant to rule worlds and other planes
of existence. At times when his power is lacking and he is overwhelmed, he knows
it is simply not time to reveal his true power to others. He will learn to grasp
and wield it soon enough, he simply needs to find the right path. At the time it
surely feels like both Morius and his Scions are the way.
Schemes and Plans
Added Thu Oct 6 14:50:16 2022 at level 51:
Iliunezyn is so self centered that he is constantly watching the world around
him to ensure all eyes are focused on him and he is getting his due attention.
He is, after all, a creature of great beauty and powerful magic. His greatness
and fate gifted him with mysterious forms of creatures few others will ever see.
His name is on the lips of many already. Yet...
He had noticed a trend when listening to information that might lead him to a
foot in the door to Morius' power. Old gods were being mentioned by several
people. He took on the menial task of searching for information on these gods.
He had heard rumors of events within the Herald's Lyceum where great magics of
chaos were released. He began to piece together information for himself. Names
such as Eshval, Mergulla, Beroxus had been mentioned. All gods of the Chasm that
he was pledged to, gods that would be in direct conflict with Morius holding on
to all the power of the Chasm and thus his foot in the door to the place. He has
a penchant for deviousness inherent to House Esszyn Del'Aztir which he called
upon. He created a deity he referred to as 'The Devourer' based on brief
information of Muuloc he researched the Lyceum. He sent a note out via a bard
indicating but not directly saying he had been approached by this deity and was
gathering up followers for 'The Devourer'.
He was then approached by a drow priest named Yroaveth who suspected 'The
Devourer' also gave him his blessings. The blessings came with a wet and sloppy
kiss, and a penchant for extreme gluttony. From his reading Iliunezyn suspected
Mergulla was behind this drow's power. When Yroaveth mentioned the wet kiss,
Iliunezyn said it was an experience he too would never forget. Yroaveth and
Iliunezyn agreed to work together in the faith of Gluttony. Though Iliunezyn
will use this drow to become closer to Morius, and eventually attempt to bring
him into the faith of Morius should Iliunezyn find Morius worthy for such
efforts.
He was approached by Shisavra who claims to be the Herald of Eshval and the
Court of Jewels. Shisavra was so impressed with Iliunezyn that she offered him a
place at court as a jewel, though Iliunezyn said he was already spoken for. They
agreed to work together towards common goals and keep each other up to date on
information.
Lastly, and best of all, Iliunezyn had read the Book of the Vitiatic Faith and
saw just how important converting others to the faith of Morius was to the Blind
God, so he cunningly weaved together a story for the Marshall of the Fortress,
Uthiln, and an elven Scribe, Schedob. He invited both to the Church of Morius
where he would attempt to sew seeds that would begin to fester a poisoned plant
in each of them, and through them the Fortress of Light. Both came willingly to
speak to him and did not question the venue. Iliunezyn confessed to them both
that he had been approached by The Devourer of All Things who stated it's

purpose was simply to devour all things. He mentioned Eshval, Beroxxus,
Mergulla, and Muuloc to the willing participants and said he was tasked with
further opening a rift to the Graveyard of the Gods to release his God from his
slumber and that others were tasked the same. He named all those he knew of and
who they were trying to free, and indicated he was having second thoughts about
releasing the gods back into the world. He said if the Scions of Eternal Night
all had their way, the world would be devoured to nothingness, and then who
would sing his praises? Who would feed him and what pleasures would there be?
Iliunezyn convinced the leader of the Fortress to begin to look for ways to free
the Gods of the Light before the Gods of Darkness are released. He said he was,
for now, willing to work with them to prevent the Scions from emerging, but he
was not wholly convinced. The Marshall of the Fortress of light agreed to work
with Ilunezyn closely, and to stay his blade from harming him.
The reason for this exercise is simply this: If Iliunezyn were Morius he would
want to rule the Scions of Eternal Night and their Chasm all to himself. There
truly were those seeking to bring about these dark gods. Iliunezyn will do what
he can to confuse this situation and potentially prevent it until he finally
speaks with Morius to see if the Blind God is worth all the effort and truly
appreciates Iliunezyn's cunning and intelligence, his power and glory, his
beauty, and above all, his time and attention.
The Sacrifice
Added Wed Oct 12 09:03:04 2022 at level 51:
Iliunezyn was cackling with glee inside. This was, by far, one of his greatest
accomplishments to date. He was giving sad eyes, a practiced expression
typically reserved for his mother, to an elven Scribe of the Fortress named
Schedob. Schedob, at that moment, was sitting down upon the Altar of Morius with
a small dagger in his hand.
Iliunezyn did all he could to keep his hands from shaking in anticipation.
Schedob has just been too EASY to manipulate. Iliunezyn merely had to smile at
the right times, create a tear at times, and appeal to the elf's sense of moral
duty. It helped that Iliunezyn had spent some time studying the literature from
Schedob's god to realize just what a large act sacrifice was to Azorinne's
faith.
At the end of the day Iliunezyn considered it little effort on his own part, he
simply had used his looks and appeal to such greatness that merely by asking it,
this elf was ready to kill himself as an offering to Morius. Those weren't the
EXACT words Iliunezyn used, but if the elf had taken any time at all to think
about his situation he would have realized he was indeed about to sacrifice
himself to Morius for Iliunezyn. When he had said he needed to go pray on his
decision and speak to his Goddess Iliunezyn had told him it had to be done now,
saying that if Schedob didn't do it soon Iliunezyn would have to sacrifice
himself upon the altar instead. (Of course none of this was remotely true)
Schedob had truly been convinced that Iliunezyn was at a crossroads in his life
and that if he took his own life upon the Altar of the Vitiatic Faith Iliunezyn
would see that the words of the Light were true and he would turn over a new
leaf as his daft far-cousin had done to join the Fortress of Light. Schedob was
under the impression if he didn't do this thing Iliunezyn would take over this
world and many beyond, which of course was the plan to begin with. This was all
simply a ploy to show Morius how valuable a member of the Vitiatic Faith he
would be.

And so Schedob stared down at Iliunezyn with hopeful tears in his eyes, knowing
there was potential for the evil creature before him to see a better path
through his sacrifice and having faith that it would come to be. He ran the
small dagger down each wrist with a swift motion and gave out a small whimper
and yelp of pain. He fell face first upon the altar. His blood ran in rivulets
over the letters of the vices carved into the stone. He laughed in a brief manic
fit as relief washed over him that the fool elf had done this. He prayed to
Morius of the gift he had given and placed a hand into the pool of blood upon
the altar. He hoped for some sign of recognition. Some note of approval. Some
simple hint that Iliunezyn was not wasting his time with such grand gestures of
faith. Nothing. There was nothing. Always nothing. Iliunezyn almost began to
grow angry, but the elf was back and nattering on with more questions such as
'What now?' and inviting him to go pray to the little child Goddess immediately.
Instead of anger he chose satisfaction with himself, he was very pleased.
Ah Schedob. What a loyal companion. What a fool of an elf.
Cake and Crumbs

Here he was. Standing before a great monolithic portal of his own making. A
gateway to his own destiny. He knows on the other side of the portal is the
great darkness where his vision took him so long ago. Is his throne already in
place? How many other planes are accessible to him from within? Yet there is
some unknown pressure pushing back onto him when he tries to enter. Agitating.
But it is only a matter of time before Morius gives him the secrets of entering
the portals.
Oh what supreme intelligence he demonstrated by going to Morius immediately upon
hearing of his blessings and power. What a blessed being he is, delivering
Morius so many gifts to draw his attention. What was it Morius had said to him?
'You have achieved things already, that if I asked them of others, they would
claim it impossible. But that is the difference between a true Scion and a
simple empty soul hungering for power.'
This was proven later by Tebahen stating that his task was impossible, simply
asking a member of the Fortress to willingly give him an item. A fool! Iliunezyn
laughed when he heard such a simple task. Iliunezyn had gotten a member of the
Fortress of Light to willingly give him his LIFE! A scoff and a laugh to
Tebahen's response to such a simple thing. Yet there Iliunezyn was, giving
Tebahen his backing anyway. There is power within the lizard creature that is
easily accessible and wielded, and that is what Iliunezyn wishes to surround
himself with. Not complete fools, not those with no depth or interest, but those
just cunning enough to do as they are told with minimal effort on his part.
Those that would take crumbs as he devours the cake and be happy with them.
Oh what else did Morius say to him? His constant memories of such lavish praise
from such a powerful god are flawless.
'All eyes on Iliunezyn, all mouths speak of him, all minds think of him. Where
the world deals with intrigue, there he is. Where there is strife, he stands
atop it. Where others want, they come to him. I have come to give you what you
deserve, Iliunezyn.'
Chills. Sensations not unlike passionate love making coursing through his body.
To be acknowledged and lavishly praised by a GOD. To have his House Esszyn
Del'Aztir powers from so long ago replaced by an even greater power of the
Chasm. And all he has to do is to maintain the Ebony Scepter in it's rightful
place. AND he is the one surrounding himself with those who would maintain the
chasm under him. He was given such trust from Morius that he brought in not one,
but two new members of the Chasm simply by telling Morius he wanted them.
They had paid his price. Sacrifice of themselves upon the Altar of Sin. Giving
themselves completely to Morius simply because Iliunezyn told them to. What
power and control. Even having Tebahen completely forsaking Zurcon, the God he
had sworn himself to eternally.

When Iliunezyn is given full power over the Chasm he will demand all of those
who serve under him swear their souls to Morius. Any who have already forsaken
Morius for another God will be forced to either convert or be completely denied
their desires. For that is what Iliunezyn has realized. The books of prophesy,
the research, everything inside the Chasm proper is insignificant and
meaningless. All that matters is Morius. The Chasm is both Morius' gift to the
faithful and Morius punishment to the profane.
Iliunezyn is clever enough to realize this. He has accepted that, for now,
Morius has direct control over his fate. He knows to get all the benefits of
having such a relationship with a God of such power he will have to submit to
him wholly. For now. His destiny, however, is inevitable. He will command these
creatures from the throne of a great beast, sending them into other worlds and
other planes of existence. Taking all he wants, getting his due. To get there he
will lie, cheat, take, demand, convert, exploit, worship, and anything else
required. This world will recognize him as the greatest Sorcery to ever live.
Through his continued actions Morius will grow his flock and be pleased.
Iliunezyn will be shown secrets no other has ever seen. He will have forbidden
knowledge barred from mortals. He will play his role for Morius and he will earn
his vast prizes. He will continue to be perfection incarnate. This world is his.

Though Iliunezyn sees the value of Sloth and takes what time he can to simply do
nothing for doing nothing's sake, he has been very busy. His efforts did not go
unnoticed by Father Morius. In fact, Morius referenced many of his feats of
deception, infamy, and terror when choosing him to take the lead role (behind
Morius of course) of the Chasm, the Chancellor.
Of course Iliunezyn had already expected this. He has read the histories, he
knows the current environs, and he knows he is the greatest Scion to walk this
world since the mummy Aztezul was originally manipulated by Morius to 'lead' the
unearthing of the Chasm. He has come to the realization that all is going to'
plan. His future and fate are sealed. The mirror was true. He will traverse the
Shadow Planes and use his Ccul'gra to peer into the unknown, the vast infinite
of the universe. He will find other places and spread the word of Morius, and
his own ambition, to their masses. But...a niggling thought has started to enter
his brain..what then? His destiny is not far off, he will have achieved his fate
as it was foretold..but he is young yet. He is in his prime. He already views
himself as a God among mortal men. Morius said there could only be one living
Sin for each path in the Vitiatic Church. Iliunezyn is Vanity. Perhaps he might
replace Sanzahka for eternity. He believes Morius could be convinced. Morius
shall keep him forever and he can continue his plotting and weaving in the name
of the church, in a more official capacity specific to the faith.
Where Iliunezyn has touched, darkness and poison has spread. In the Fortress of
Light he was able to manipulate an elf to willingly climb onto the Altar of Sin
and gladly plunge a dagger into his elven body and bleed his sweet blood for
Morius. He has manipulated the Marshall of the Fortress to the point of shame
that he doesn't even show himself anymore. He has caused such zealotry and
carelessness in Jenaheim that the conjurer leads his fellows to their deaths
more often than he comes close to killing Iliunezyn. Not to mention Jenaheim
going into the room of Greed and taking so many items of the Light for himself,
not even bothering to try to return them to their rightful owners.

In the Empire Iliunezyn spreads sweet words of a greater greatness than anything
achievable in the Empire. He speaks of freedom, of independence, and of
gathering of vast wealth to all who will give even half an ear. He sews doubt
among the Imperial Council about their underlings. Just recently he 'mistakenly'
told the Dread Lord that all was going to plan and he only needed to keep
following instructions to be given his place in the Chasm. The Dread Lord
immediately assumed Iliunezyn's words were meant for one of his Elite Blacks,
and this chain of events led to the Anathemazation of Ralina the Necromancer,
who immediately killed herself and took her life out of the cycle. The Council
has issued it's own decree that anyone caught speaking to Iliunezyn without
immediately reporting it to the Emperor or Sect Leader will be Anathemized. Of
COURSE Iliunezyn will NEVER use that knowledge to his advantage.
One of the more noteable corruptions is Iliunezyn's handhold on the Spire of the
Blood Tribunal. Under the guise of spreading the blessings of Morius, Iliunezyn
is very helpful to the populace. Of course such help is as a snare of sweet
barbed sweet meats is to a fox. By the time they begin to devour his aid they
realize it is spiked and barbed, once they swallow he has his hooks in them.
This led to several things inside the Spire. Daf, Gaeticus, and Najeni for one
have all done very anti-Tribunal and illegal things for him, including the
removal of WANTED flags from his person when he instructed them to. Where
Iliunezyn sees weakness, he penetrates and seduces. He has promised Najeni a
place in the Chasm should she lose her place in the Spire. Reginold the Provost
did investigate Iliunezyn for his removed marks. Iliunezyn believes he
manipulated the situation to the point that Daf will keep his post due to not
knowing better than to remove what he believed to be a bad flag (though this was
nothing near the case). Najeni he isn't as concerned with simply because she has
proven useful to he and Morius, and she will give herself on the Altar. Gaeticus
has not done more than be useful for information, but he is lined up to do
anything Iliunezyn asks of him.
Iliunezyn is an elf on a mission. The more power he brings to Morius, the more
power he himself will receive.
