Description
Ilunas stands before you, his slender form tall and gaunt against
glowing aura around him. He is quite pale for an elf, his silvery
skin and near translucent hair making him look more of a whispy
ghost than a flesh and blood mortal. Ilunas has nary a mark upon
his skin, looking fresh and new, hardly within a battle. His garb
while tattered looks clean and loose, the slightest bit of mud
and dust scattered around his boots. Ilunas's eyes peer out from
beneat his ghostly pale form, an eerie and unnatural looking black,
focused and intent in his gaze.
Role
The Battle for Purity

Illunas Starlai approached the gates of the Imperial Palace, his trusted
friend Gralbin at his side, the hoard of Imperials swarmed about the gates
of the Palace, Ikbe the DreadLord, Zefta the War Master, Graelok the Imperial
Elite Blade and Vicktor the Blade stood guard over the Radiant Orb.
Gralbin and Illunas designed a plan of attack, and prepared for battle.
The battle was long and bloody, Gralbin and Illunas attacked in waves, slaying
the Imperials one by one. After retrieving the Radiant Orb, they showed no mercy
against the dark in their efforts, purifying the taint with the fierocity and
strength of the light, granting no quarter or sanctuary against the imperials.
After weeks of combat, day and night passing like moments in time, Gralbin and Illunas
captured the Imperial Codex while in battle against this hoard. The Lady Baerinika
applauding our action, and the immortal gods of the dark grown uncomfortable in their
thrones witnessing the purity of the light, the courage of our convictions to
protect the innocent and the strength of our unity.
Illunas Starlai believes that purity is not only fought by sword and shield, it is not
only sought through death and purification of the dark, but it is a constant struggle
of the spirit. The greatest battle of the light is within the souls of the pure, for
as we battle against the dark, it is us whom change, who battle against the dark wills
again and again. The struggle for purity is one that requires the greatest strength and
the strongest spirit, for it is a struggle for ones soul.
A Squire of the Brigade

My name is Illunas Starlai, an elf of the moon, of the light and of a pure soul.
Captain of the Brigade Ilvakihj had called upon me not long ago, my deeds and
words reaching his ears, and quite pleased he was! We spoke of the light, and of
the purity of our spirit. I told him of my desires, and of my past... I was humbled
to have his interest, his ear and his faith.
The path of a Maran is a bloody one, one filled with war, death and sacrifice. Walking
close to the taint ebbs at ones spirit, and threatens the purity of the light. I spoke
to the captain plainly of how the battle against the taint is not only one fought by
sword and shield, but one fought within our very souls, lest we become what we hunt.
I prepare myself for the war ahead, knowing in my heart that in the end, it shall claim
my life... I dream of the monestary, and the simpler things that bring the spirit renewal,
the joy of life, the simple sharing of bread and the purity and strength of love...
Perhaps I shall see my home again... In the meantime, I focus on bringing purity to the dark
through death, and offer them the redemption of the light, for they are hunted without mercy..
As I had told the Captain, of the Unity of the light... It is the Acolytes Place to give hope
where there is none... but it is the place of the Maran to take it away...
The Purity of the Innocent

Life in the monestary was one of spendor. A charmed life of natural beauty, games,
study and meditation. There was never a want for things one did not need, purity took
forms in all aspects of life. There was no fear of darkness, or the threat of death under
heavy rule, life was about finding peace, and developing the courage to follow your own
heart. The cold stone of the monestary walls, the chapel of light within the mountains
would often be my daily walk, to ponder the mysteries and joys of life, and of magic.
Life In the monestary was perfect. I dreamed of dragons, adventure, exploration and
finding my way in the bright exciting world outside of the stone walls I've grown so
comfortable in. The monks would often talk of the lands beyond the walls, in hushed tones
and in silent corners news would sometimes find its way in, news I had wanted to know
and only my imagination could reveal.
One bright summer day, I packed my pack of food stuffs, water and the bare nessecities
I had grown accustomed to and left my peaceful monestary on my own, telling noone of
my destination, only seeking adventure in the lands of Thera. What I had found... was
quite beyond what my nieve imagnation had dreamed...
The world beyond the walls was filled with dread, evil and darkness. A lich had claimed
rule over the entire of the lands, dark beasts roamed the land in the depth of the night
clawing and destroying in their path, the peaceful life behind the walls of the monestary
seemed so far away. I could not go back when I had the strength to do something, I could
not go back until the way life was ment to be had been restored, until purity once again
filled the lives of those opressed and shrouded by darkness.
I must stand because others cannot - I must stand so the innocent remain innocent - I must
stand before darkness envelops the world, and nothing remains of the purity I had known.
My path will be one of purity, not only in the cleansing of the darkness, but the struggle
within my very own soul. In my actions being of only the most pure intent, I shall be a beacon
to those of the light, an example for others to follow, and a fiery instrument of death to
those whom seek to destroy the righteous.
