Description
This is a tall elven man, standing just above the average at 6'5''. Muscular
by elven standards, thus far from brawny, he is tall and straight, strong and
tall as a young tree. Oddly darkly featured, his hair is a raven black,
very uncommon in the generally fair elves, worn cropped short, in the style
common to the elven soldiery. Definitely handsome, yet in I highly elven way,
giving him an oddly, awry, slightly alien cast. His eyes, also uncommonly
dark, are a deep grey. Dressed, beneath his adventuring armor in garb common
to the firstborn, though of slightly finer make, suggesting links to a richer
class of elven society.

Inglor stood patiently awaiting with his reknown kinsman, the king, the
famed Feanon Arelenar. Highly aware of the honor audience was for such a minor member of
member of the household, royal kin or no, he felt a keen sense of anxious nervousness...exactly
like his first meeting, so many centuries ago now...
Inglor blinked, amazed at how quickly he had fallen back into his old ways, and stood
taller. Had he not achieved great things? Quite so!
Beckoned finally to approach, he took a knee before the true elven high king, and spoke
the ritualised words of fealty and service. His king regarded him a moment, his
characteristic grey Arelenar eyes seeming to weigh and judge him...and Inglor, was
suddenly that nervous boy again, cursing himself. Feanon nodded, signalling recognition
and that he should rise, and as last time, got immediately to business.
"What are you doing, boy?" Feanon said, his voice commanding, then continued before
Inglor could reply, "The lands are still rife with lawlessness, are you trying to shame the
house?"
Inglor blinked, taken aback, he was the Provost damnation, and as a little of his confidence
returned, he opened his mouth, to reply in his defence...Only to be curtly cut off again.
"Return to you duty, boy, see the work through, finish what you have started." The king
gave a gesture of dismissal, and Inglor blinking again, yet too full of Arelenar discipline
to anything else, saluted, before making his exit. Feanon watching Inglor leave, allowed
himself a rare smile of amusement.
Continued reasons.
Added Thu Jan 24 10:26:59 2008 at level 51:
Things have not gone at all as planned for Inglor. An incarnation of light and wrath
trapped in a mediocres paladin's body, he has discovered has an unfortunate tendency
to fall when the laws of the Universe should demand he sweeps the field. This has,
however not deterred him, rather the opposite. Inglor sees it as his duty to be the
one who will rush in where it needs doing, the one to brandish the banner when the spirit's
his fellow magistrates have sunk. He has worked out, with much pain, that he isn't actually
very good at doing this, but doesn't intend to let that deter him. A son of the Arelenar
will always try. Furthermore, he has more fear of disliking himself for not trying, then
he does of failing in battle. Subsequently, he also has no further desire for increased
rank or position in the Spire. The idea of a young magistrate mimicing him, believing
it would bring promotion, is enough to make him ill.
To be the arrow.
Added Thu Jan 24 01:25:15 2008 at level 50:
**The following is from a conversation Inglor had with a younger paladin**
Most people live their lives assuming they will live to old age. These people spend
their entire lives lettings things pass, assuming there will be a tommorrow. Always the
cautious path, always surprised when lifes surprises come. These people live as targets,
as life hits them, and when the end comes, it is always unwelcome and with things left
to be regretted. All people pass away, even the abomination of unlife. Will you have
regrets in your moment of passing? Will there be things you have left for another day?
Live now! Far better to take a fall, then regret not trying. Be the arrow, soar, and
seek a target, do not be one.
**This was in response to a question of why Inglor failed in combat so much. The squire
believed it was a decent answer for atleast an hour**
Last name.

Ars'ion Arelenar.
The Arelenar follow a different naming structure to the rest of the firstborn, in
a continueing effort to show the others have lost any semblance of the plot.
Ars'ion, loosely translates to royal scion, thus royal scion of Arelenar.
Reasons.
Added Fri Jan 11 10:42:48 2008 at level 35:
Inglor, as things stand is content with his lot. Not in a comfortable complacent way, but
rather, he is proud of his choices, and takes a great deal of satisfaction from his service.
For Inglor, all comes together. His duty as a priest, is furthered in his eyes, by his
service as a magistrate. His service as an officer of the Spire, furthers his House's
honor, and influence. He is aware his grandfather, the true king will use him without
hesitation to further his houses goals, but he also knows there is no more honorable mortal
in the world then his king. His service, as a true son of the Arelenar is, also in turn
a fine and just path for a paladin to follow. For Inglor, it does all come together, because
for Inglor, to serve is be content.
An audience.

Inglor stood patiently awaiting his audience with his reknown kinsman, and king, the
famed Feanon Arelenar. Highly aware of the honor audience was for such a minor member of
the household, royal kin or no, he felt a keen sense of anxious nervousness...much like
his first meeting with Lord Marcatis.
Beckoned finally to approach, he took a knee before the true elven high king, and spoke
the ritualised words of fealty and service. His king regarded him quietly a moment, his
characteristic grey Arelenar eyes seeming to weight and judge him before he nodded
recognition, signaling Inglor should rise, and like a thrust got directly to business.
"You are now of age, young Arelenar. How will you serve the House?"
"I will enlist in the Spire, Sire" Inglor replied, carefull to keep his voice calm. "This
duty is pleasing to me on many levels, as it also..."
The king raised a hand, causing Inglor to fall silent, "Do not dishonor the House. Serve
as son of the Arelenar should, and return to me when you have gained position to
advance our cause."
Feanon gave another hand jesture, this time an obvious dismissal. Inglor bow again, before
walking from his mortal lords court.
The beggining.

Greeting, the Blood Tribunal. I pend this missive to tender my desire for

my aid where possible, pending enlistment.
Inglor Ars'ion Arelenar.
Inglor.
Added Thu Jan 3 10:30:59 2008 at level 8:
Inglor is a fringe member of House Arelenar, the second son of a second son, yet, he
is a member, and as such considers himself part of the true royal house. Raised in the
Arelenar military tradition, his life has been far from that of a pampered noble son...
the young Arelenar eats duty for breakfast and discipline for lunch, they are denied dinner
and forced to train.
Like all Arelenar, Inglor wishes to make a difference, he sees it as his responsibility
to enter the world and make it a better place, to lead by example, to be remembered as
a true son of the firstborn. He is more then a little naive, and doesn't really yet
understand the outside world, having been effectively brainwashed and drilled since he
could hear.
He holds himself true to his oaths to both code, divine and his grandfather, the King. He
expects courageous nobility, not only from himself, but from those around him. He can
not abide lawlessness, injustice or petty baseness...Lack of discipline is the begginings
of chaotic wildness, which is in turn, the harbinger of wickedness.
House Arelenar.
Added Thu Jan 3 10:12:26 2008 at level 8:
In the earliest days, the leader of House Arelnar was a great general during the
sundering of the elven races. In the thousands of years since, he has, to many, been the
true King of the firstborn, and the leader of what has become known as the Unseelie Court.
Arelenar philosophy is quite simple, and is easiest summed up as the belief in active
participation. The form of this participation, is less important, then the participation
itself. The Arelenar simply feel the need to make a difference. Most of the house
do this by taking places in the houses elite guard, which is in fact, responsible for
a large portion of the elven activety outside the vale. Many take a place within the
Fortress, still others in the Spire. The form of the service, is in many ways, secondary
to be actually serving, as long as chaos and wickedness are being chastised.
The Arelenar have always been militant. In the earliest days, they were responsible for
many of the advancements in elven martial craft, the evolution of the bladesong and its
associated elven origionated disciplines. It is in this area as well, that the Arelenar
differ from the Darsyloni, as they embrace with pride even those skills the others now
outlaw. This has lent largely to their dark reputation, as has their generally attitude
superiority. When non elven races consider the elves pompous and arrogant, the elves consider
the Arelenar, so...and with reason. The Arelenar do consider themselves better then others,
yet, they consider with their advantages comes responsibility.
The Unseelie Court.
Added Thu Jan 3 09:52:07 2008 at level 8:
Legends and folk tales have often whispered of the Unseelie Court, and while
time and tale telling tradition have warped the truth into bizarre folk tales, these
tales, like most, have a the shadow of truth...
In a time so distant, it has also become little more then myth, there was a great
split among the people, a sundering of the firstborn that endures to this day. Most of
those who opposed the Elven King vehemently went on to become those known as the Dark
elves...These are not the Unseelie. The Unseelie are those who oppose the King, yet
remained.
To this day, this faction remains, and is to all effects its own court, small, yet
a very definite and influental bloc within elven society. The Unseelie hold no allegiance
to the House of Darsylon, swearing their own oaths to their own King or Queen, yet, they
are far from dark (in any conventional sense) as the folktales hold.
With its power rooted firmly among the military of the Firstborn, the Unseelie's
opposition stems from a simple belief...the tainted should be crushed, not ignored, the
elven armies should march, not guard...The true king of the elves, should in fact, be the
commander of the light, not a passive, decadent leader of wild rabble.
The Unseelie, would never commit and act so wicked as killing one of the false kings,
but...they consider them weak and decadent. They blame the encrouchment of evil and chaos
into the world on the House Darsylon, and have for countless thousands of years.
