Description
Elegant and delicate, yet of an athletic build, this Elven maiden stands
here, smiling gently. Her skin is pale, more so than usual for an Elf, almost
pure white. She is wearing stylish garments of thick leather, lined with a
coat of fur. Her eyes are crystal blue, clear as water and sparkling with
vigor. Her face is of perfect symmetry and her skin is smooth and
immaculately clean. Around her neck you see two necklaces made of a rope
strung through crystals, polished to reflect light. On one of the necklaces
you see "Xaerin", each letter separately attached to a crystal. Each of the
letters are made of polished stone, with a diamond set in the middle.
A band of black cloth has been wrapped around her left wrist.
Role
The search for my brother's tradeship

I was able to find the lost ship, but it was immediately clear that things
weren't good. Apparently they crashed upon rocks near the shore of one of the
large rivers far north of Voralian City. Only because of our swift action
were we able to free some of the crewmembers and rescue them, but sadly they
were not many. Most of the crew had died several days before we arrived. My
brother, Shesintura, perished as well. The ship had turned over and the cabin
within which my brother steered the ship was deep within the water and had
been crushed by the rocks on the bottom on the river. Death must have been
swift for him.
Other than deep sorrow, the loss of my beloved brother brings responsability
to me as well. He was heir to the position of Lordship our father has. Now
that will be mine. I do not look forward to that duty.

Jolly hat, gentle fellow,
laugh out loud,
pierce the dark cloud.
Run! Skip! Hide!
Master of Light,
vanquisher of Darkness,
Leave! Flee! Take flight!
Come forth, Lord of Summer!
Voice of laughter,
master of Light!
(Composed by Ishranaye Rishtan, to drive out the darkness)

The Atrahin, Elves of the North
Added Mon May 30 09:34:15 2005 at level 1:
How and why a faction of Elves had left their Darsylon home to move to the
northern boundaries, realm of cold and ice, is lost with time, but it is
suspected it had to do with the search for lost magic. It is a thriving
settlement, well established near the shores of lake Gahmurin. It's water
slowly melts off the glacier north of the settlement, and flows southward,
forming a lake in the Neshra Tirum valley, where the settlement has been
built.
The settlement gets all it needs from its surroundings. Large fish swim in
the lake providing easy food and the forests around the valley are full of
game. The forests provide an abundant source of wood and the mountains
provide rocks and minerals, though they do not mine. The only kind of jewelry
that is seen amongst the Atrahin are made of crystals, which can be easily
found within the mountains, and of whatever else they find of beauty.
Although geographically isolated, the settlement keeps close bonds of
friendship with Darsylon and Voralian City. Pine wood and furs are shipped
south. Darsylon and Voralian in return ship magical knowledge, general
purpose products foreign to the northern lands and clothing made of the furs
the Atrahin sent to them.
Ishranaye, child of the North
Added Mon May 30 09:31:49 2005 at level 1:
The dawn of Spring brings light to the cold of Winter, removes the cloak of
shadows of the lands. Life is born anew and animals come out to greet the
sun. Ishranaye was born on the first day of spring, early in the morning when
the sun shone upon the lake, the ice water glittering with a golden shine.
Ish = Sun
ra = on
naye = water
She is a child of the Atrahin (Elves of the North), her father is a Shaman of
Water, Lord of the northern settlement. Her mother is a Healer, follower of
Yanoreth. She has an older brother who will become the new ruler, when their
father dies or steps down.
Her heart heated by the Sun of spring, she has no patience for the long cold
of winter. She endured it, but her parents noticed that it was eating her.
They asked if she wanted to go south and she eagerly accepted. Her father
made arrangements with Voralian city, for her to live there. The nobles
gladly provided a house for her, as the Atrahin had done a lot to aid with
the restoration of it's city. A vast amount of northern pine wood has gone
into the new buildings of the city.
