Role
A House to Rise Again!
Added Wed Aug 15 16:14:24 2012 at level 5:
Born in a very privileged house of Teth Azeleth, Itijinithili was one few
daughters. The majority of the Xithijinili house were male save for the elder
of the house, a female. After she was born, Itijinithili was given the best
clothes, teaching, and servants. The coveted dark art of transmutation was
one of the houses best kept secret and Itijinithili was the last to be
instructed in its use. It was near her fifty-first birthday when her life
would change and take an unexpected turn. Other of the more prominent houses
had heard of Itijinithili's teachings and the Xithijinili secret. The other
houses conspired together and set a political agenda against the dark magic
out of jealousy and issued a writ of imprisonment should the secrets not be
revealed to them. This angered the head of the Xithijinili house and soon
guerrilla warfare was rampant. This went on for months until a culmination of
events left the Xithijinili house razed.
Itijinithili was one of the few survivors and vied to return great power to
her house. All houses would burn before her and those that stood in her way
would suffer her wrath of transmutation. She gathered a few hundred gold of
her inheritance kept safe from the looters and traveled to the surface world.
She enrolled at the Academy and advanced her spellcraft over the years. By
her seventieth birthday she had come across a black tome covered with
incantations. Within she read about the Scions of Eternal Night and the power
they intended to gain. Oh how it delighted her. She read about the forsaken
portals and the creatures that would come forth, some of them even with a
power like her own. Could she fill the Underdark with the Ccul'gra and feed
her enemies to the shadows? She certainly hoped so.
A Place of Research
Added Thu Sep 6 16:37:40 2012 at level 28:
Itijinithili found what she was seeking upon meeting the Chancellor and
Advisor of the Scions. A plan to impress them had worked. Witnessing their
raw power was so immense it was the first time she could remember being
happy. A place of study was set for her within the chasm and now her research
could begin. The destruction of her enemies will soon be at hand and her
house will rise with a power it could never have imagined. Within the chasm
was a cousin, a man she had never seen or heard of. He is still called
Drekvah, but now he takes on the form of godlike proportions; Death
incarnate. If this kind of power is feasible through the Scepter then she
must learn as much as she can. Dark items of power, spells to be learned from
the Archmage, or lost texts was what she seeks to enhance her dark art of
Transmutation.
The thoughts raced through her mind as her cheeks became very hot. There was
so much that awaited her she could barely control herself even with a slowed
metabolism to calm down. She must complete the training and ready herself for
the path that lay ahead. Informing the Lord Reksah and her elders of her
research was the first step before that could begin.
I have a dream
Added Sun Oct 7 14:26:09 2012 at level 47:
The ominous silhouette of the man made Itijinithili curious as she could not
make out his true form. With a pop, her dream shattered and she instantly
woke. She had been sleeping in two dimensions again so with a careful step
she found herself back in three dimensions. Who was this man, what did the
dream mean, and was it real?
For many months, she had been experimenting with the forsaken portals she had
learned to open at night with the power of the Scepter. The forms that
emerged were similar to the Ccul'gra and Druk'trar she could also call. Each
could be filled with the strength of giants, enlarged, and transparency but
nothing more. The outer guardian was the only creature who was different; a
nightwalker like the rest, but Itijinithili could fortify its pseudo-flesh,
feel something like a metabolism, and repair the flesh with her dark magicks.
It excited her to research what was different in this one form of shadow, but
her mind would always wander to thoughts of the dream man. Did he know what
her plans were? Was he from the shadow plane? A paranoia began to fill
Itijinithili and her sleeping patterns began to revolve around only two
dimensional sleep. It was a comfort and security where she think in complete
silence and her mind could focus. The Chancellor was dead and the chasm would
be in disorder as scholars departed studies and began seeking the seat of
power.
In the coming weeks she would focus on finishing her studies in the guild and
increasing her power in the chasm.
The Shadow Element
Added Thu Nov 8 22:21:23 2012 at level 50:
Journal Entry: Day of the Great Gods
5th of the Month of the Battle in the year 1828.
I have spent many moons now with the power of the Scepter enhancing me. The
research is slow as I experiment on the unwilling. As I weave my powers I
master my grasp within the bodies of the living. When the subject are alive,
I am a master of the living. When the subjects are dead, I enjoy the autopsy
in peace and quiet. Now, shadows, on the other hand. I almost do not know
where to begin.
With the dark transmutations I can conjure, focusing first on the Ccul'gra I
call that can walk during the day, albeit hindered, I am able to feel only a
few element to grasp onto for manipulation. I can condense what feels like
the elements of cold air to reduce, and then shifting the air warmer I can
expand them to an enlarged state. I'm able to reinforce the air as I am with
the living and bestow the giant strength to them as well. The Ccul'gra have
no metabolism I can manipulate and no type of outer skin layer that holds
their form.
However, there is one nightwalker that is different than the rest. The outer
most nightwalker that sits at the chasm, guarding our coven, appears to be
the most hearty and thus the best choice as guardian. It has a metabolism I
can manipulate, an outer skin type layer I can petrify and harden, along with
other similar elements I can feel. Now, I find the similarities and
differences and determine that it is special in a way by having more of a
particular element than the others. It is this shadow element, or lack
thereof, I find affecting my ability to enhance them.
Ortus the Ater Magus has completed much work for us through a series of
operations which will lead us to the Shadow Plane. There, I know I will find
an element not plentiful in this plane that is apart of the Ccul'gra diet for
which I can concentrate into a heavily condensed form for added potency. My
plan for an unstoppable army of Ccul'gra grows closer by the day and assured
destruction of my enemies will cheer me up ever so much.
Stressful studies

Progress with Davarrah was proving better than expected. Many things were
revealed through the excavation of the shadow well. The shadowstone might be
the shadow element Itijinithili had been searching for all this time. The
theory was that she would find it within the Shadow Plane, so the thought of
it existing in her plane of existence was exciting.
The only thing that lay in her way was studying the affects of the
shadowstone when introduced into the diet of a subject. She had no way of
introducing the shadowstone to a subject. She believed that the shadowstone
was in some way involved but finding how the shadowy nightwalker supplemented
it into its diet was another matter. A mortar and pestle proved insufficient
for obtaining a specimen to work with from the shadowstone. Perhaps Davarrah
or Ortus would know of methods unbeknownst to Itijinithili. Only she and
another scholar held specimens of shadowstone so the work and results would
be highly secretive.
There were so many experiments to be performed and the overwhelming feeling
in yielding a desirable result began to stress Itijinithili heavily. Assured
destruction of her enemies was always at the forefront of her mind, and
backed by an army of unstoppable shadowspawn empowered her to proceed with
the studies. She had gone so far as to pray blood rituals to the demons of
hell just to obtain momentary power like that of the Anti-paladins. In time
she felt her focus would narrow and reveal a spectacular discovery. Rumors of
a Silent Tower filled with ancient power began to cloud her thoughts as her
mind began to calculate her odds of survival compared to finding her
shadowstone answers. The data was inconclusive.

Progress with the studies has come to a halt. The Behemoth stone slayer was
gone. The Lich had turned itself to dust. The Chancellor was absent and
Itijinithili was beginning to feel alone in her pursuit. Her tools had
disappeared. A plateau had been reached and there was no sign of Ortus or
Davarrah. All their work in the shadow well appeared to be all for naught.
Itijinithili felt like she held a lesser role in the development and the
chaos in her heart felt unfocused to deliver the destruction of Thera she
sought. Ortus and Davarrah wanted Drekvah, Morgrul, or Zameida, not
Itijinithili.
Her grasp for power became sporadic and there came a feeling as if something
was missing. She had lived her entire life with the teachings of the prophecy
but nothing unfolded as she intended. Itijinithili wanted something greater.
The destructive force of the late Krunk was inspirational to Itijinithili.
The lands had been ravaged and the legend left by Krunk would be told for
eons. She wanted to be apart of great things, she wanted great power, and she
wanted her own legend. Riding on the coat tails of the giant, lich, and
nightmare led her nowhere.
Itijinithili made her intentions known in a brief meeting with Scarabaeus,
but she was still unsure if they would take any soul into the church. All she
wanted was direction that would take her close to Scarabaeus and his dark
power. Her first thought was to find him in her studies of the shadow plane,
and a second thought came too late that perhaps her alignment with the Scions
had offended him. She wanted to know what it was like to hold truly great
power, but there was no clear path how to do that. Would Scarabaeus share
anything with her? Outlook not so good.
