Description
This hooded figure seems to dart between the shadows. For a moment he
is still as his yellow eyes linger on yours. This is a felar of that
there is no doubt. Standing, or crouching it is difficult to tell, his
height looks to be a little over 5 feet if that. A full length coat covers
his body but you can see the orange fur as you look closer. Sharp looking
claws holding sharper looking daggers are momentarily visible before
retreating back into the darkness of his cloak.

Jackra was born into a large litter. He wasn't the smallest
of his siblings but he was the smallest to survive the
first few days. He was weaker than the other survivors
and struggled at first. Always the last to gain precious
food, always at the bottom of the pile. It was a struggle
at times to just live through the day, a struggle that he
came close to losing on several occasions.
But survive he did and through it he gained strength. Not
strength of body but strength of spirit. Jackra learnt to
survive where others died. Most of the time he spent alone
and instead of it being a curse it made him more aware of his
self and his abilities. It brought a sense of self reliance
that his siblings lacked. Where they hunted together he
hunted alone. Whilst they squabbled amongst themselves
for the best portions of food Jackra took what he needed from
his kills and moved on.
Although it helped to make him stronger, he was still part of
a pack as was his nature. A part of him yearned for the
comfort of his siblings. But this was not the home for it.
The land of the Imperial rule where his family struggled day
to day, beaten down by their overbearing rule. Only the elite
prospered in such a place. The rest trod beneath the boot of
so called civilization. Something had to change, someone had to
stand up to them, someone had to fight back. But Jackra was
young and dreams were easy. What could he do.
For a long time, the question hung in the air for him. For a long
time he did nothing. Until finally he decided it was time, time to
make a start, time to see where he could make his place, to see how
he could make this change. With his meagre belongings he took a
final look back at his home, before heading off with determination.
First stop Galadon.
Chapter One

Jackra excelled on the rooftops and the darkened alleyways that covered
the landscape of the city of Galadon. The city had a small imperial presence,
the recruiters propaganda could be heard from time to time, and it always
dismayed Jackra when he saw the lonely and destitute taken in by the lies.
But it was nothing compared to the lands he grew up in. And more scorned
the imperials here than bowed to their ways.
It was within the shadows that an assassin found him, admiring the skills
of one so young, and convinced the Galadon Guildmaster to take Jackra as
a student. Quickly Jackra realized the opportunity given to him and gave
himself fully to the training. He knew that he would need those skills when
he started his fight back against the Imperials.
As Jackra's training continued so did his experiences widen. He knew his focus
on the imperials was a worthy fight that needed to happen, but he also saw
many other evils in the land. His mind could no longer be solely targeted
towards the imperial threat. He learnt of the Fortress of Light, and the maran
that hunted down evil at every turn. It was hardly even a question as he pledged
to their cause. He would always hold a special hatred of the Empire, but now
Jackra knew that they were not the only ones spreading darkness across the lands.
Chapter Two

In the Fortress Jackra had found kin and a new way of life. His time alone had
taught him much but now he had a true family who would fight by his side and
who shared his beliefs. Sometimes it seemed like a dream to him.
The battles faced were many but the strength of his Fortress kin gave him
strength and courage where otherwise he might have waived.
The Empire still held a special place in his mind, and that would likely never
change, but they were one among many. Jackra fought orcs from a village of carnage,
foul duergar with their evil ways and the hated giants who seemed coated in fire.
But even then there were many others, others who natural inclinations could not
be at fault, for there were many humans of noble soul, but again a number with
cruelty in their hearts.
Jackra still had much to learn, and many battles to come, with his claws sharpened he
stepped from the fort looking for new prey.
Chapter Three

It was many years since Jackra had joined the Brigade. He had suffered victories, he had
suffered defeats. He had lost companions, some forever, others breaking away from the Fort
as anger took a hold of them, or a disagreement in the way the war was waged. Those all
weighed heavily on his heart. It caused anguish to lose those he now called his family.
But more than all of that was the reminder of the death of an innocent at his hands.
Jackra had struck him down as the guard merely tried to do his duty by bringing the outlaw
Jackra to justice. Jackra was not innocent, indeed he knew he might garner a warrant for his
actions that saw him become wanted. But at no point did he think his actions might cause
the death of another of the light.
He spoke to the Mayor of Galadon, and paid what he could for Vrende's funeral but that would
not change the fact that a wife was without her husband, and children without their father.
After that Jackra vowed he would not strike in the Protected cities again, the risk to innocents
was just too great.
