Description
There is a tall man, no wait. Oh yes, you see he is an elf by his pointed
ears. He is fair in complexion like most elves with nearly ivory skin. His
hair is a lightened hue of brown and is kept closely cropped on the side of
his head and worn longer and pointy on the top.
He has hazel eyes that are shaped like almonds and are set wide on his face.
He has a slender nose, with wide flaring nostrils and thick pink lips that
are smiling. He has a small, slender frame as most of his kind. He wears
simple, natural clothing beneath his armor.

Although I am not a leader of the cabal , I feel that I am prepared to lead.
I have given up my main desires of seducing every warm blooded beautiful
woman I see. I still wish this, but my main concern is the Isle and those
that inhabit it. In making this change, I have changed my chosen repertoire
from romantic to epic, so as I can lead our men in battle and through any
endeavor we take on.
I do not know everything there is to know about tactics and what not, but I
have the ability to think things through. I've seen some mistakes made
because I've sat back and let others take the reigns on matters I felt they
would not more about. It has cost lives, and that is unacceptable.
The occasion that sticks most in my mind is when Jiahe and I took the head
and left Rivenian to defend against one assassin. Rivenian and Jiahe should
have known the assassin would be stalking him, Jiahe gave the head to Edritch
prematurely and Rivenian stepped out to shield the guardian and was
assassinated. This could have been prevented with some leadership that I will
provide from now on.

I've nver done anything as bold as this, but Nitch and Cryptodiro were both
awake so we raided the Fort and sent the scepter and codex back to their
rightful places.
Soon thereafter, I received a missive that Mizfara sent to all of the fort
and island. It basically said that all fortressites can have free reign
hunting the three of us until we fall.
I spoke with Mizfara after receiving the missive, to try to bear the burden
myself. I told Mizfara that I ordered the assault and that she shouldn't
blame the soldiers for following orders.
Mizfara does not wish to recall her statement unfortunately. She said that
soldiers have the option to choose to follow orders or not. If they have an
option, they are not soldiers in my opinion. I was hoping the militarial
reference would sway her, for I've learned in my travels to speak to
different people differently to gain their persuasion, but this so called
Captain would not listen.
Campaign for Rhyme, thoughts on retention and dispelling Rager propaganda.

I spoke with Praeto at great length and he thinks that what is best for the
island is for me to begin to campaign subtly for the position of Rhyme of
Resistance. Although Praeto would never argue with Grecken in front of the
rest of the island, I have sensed some strife between our leaders. Small
remarks that Praeto has said to me, that I was able to pick up on, but
recently he has confided in me that he believes Grecken is not the right one
for leadership. I would never think to overthrow Grecken, but it is always
best to plan for the future and neither Grecken nor Praeto will be around for
ever. Praeto has recognized my stalwart vigilance in the balance and my
dedication to the island. My next move will be to ensure that the rest of the
Island knows of me by publishing a few works to them.
I will pen a scroll detailing my beliefs on brotherhood. My personal
philosophy is that there is an order in which I take care of things. This
philosophy is adapted from the mounted cavalry where when they are done for
the day, they first tend to their steed, then their equipment, and finally
they will take care of themselves. My first responsibility is to the balance.
When I cannot do anything else for the balance, I then take care of my
brothers. When my brothers are taken care of, then I can take care of
personal matters. I firmly believe in the brotherhood that is the Nexus. When
each Nexun puts the needs of all the other brothers ahead of his own, every
one will be taken care of.
Praeto has looked inside himself and come to me and on this we both agreed
fully. We must work on retention. Too many of our brethren retire early. My
thoughts were that we lacked tradition and Praeto has looked towards the
other cabals and agreed. They keep more steady numbers and one of their
defining qualities is the tradition in which they are brought up. Praeto
wishes me to organize an event for the brothers. I think that is a great
idea, I have already begun brainstorming and I think we can have a tournament
with prizes and a social get together at the island.
We also had an incident with the BattleRager's head. We took the head, but in
the midst of taking it the veil became incredibly thin. We would never keep
the head in this condition, but we took it none the less and relinquished it
soon after. A young minotaur applicant showed up to retrieve the head and he
would not believe me when I would say that we did not have it. I do not blame
him of course, but he had an assassin with him and I think I won this
assassin over. He began to question what he was there for and wished to learn
more of the Nexus role in the world all the while the minotaur tried to spew
his BattleRager propaganda in his ear.

In my previous entry I mistakenly stated that that sprites are much lovers
when in all actuality I meant that they are not. Along those lines, I met a
nymph. Uh.. well, I assumed that this meant she was a nymphomaniac and well..
umm. Yeah, I think I'm going to leave the Emerald forest as I pretty much get
verbally abused there now. Not the place to bring back a lady if you know
what I mean. Perhaps I should lay off of the booze while I do these things..
what am I saying. I don't have a problem.
Anyways, I read a missive from Malrokael of the Silverlute family. I've not
heard of this family, they must not be from my timeline. Anyways, it was
about the Nexus and the balance and I believe I could be a part of that. I
sent them a missive and am to seek out Grecken or Andaayn and will do so at
the earliest possible time. We'll see how that goes. I know a thing or two
about balance, I know it's hard as hell to keep your balance when you're
drunk. Speaking of drunk, I hear a vintage calling me.
Beginnings and such.

I am Jakziim and I am from ages past. I grew up south of the plains of
Aryndel and north of the Citadel. One day I got hold of some strong spirits,
drank myself into a stupor and wandered around aimlessly until I found myself
on a road. I guess it is a road, I had never seen anything like it. It was
far more advanced than the trails I had seen. It was more like what you would
see inside a city than what I found myself on.
Anyways, I followed the road westward, onward, soon sobered up and realized I
had no clue where I was or how to get back. I ran into the city of Galadon,
at least that is what the sign said, though it looked nothing like the
settlement I knew. It was so busy that it soon made my head spin, or was that
the hangover? It was probably a little of both, so I lost my bearings once
more and found my way into a nice peaceful forest.
The naked dancing sprites really caught my attention so I settled in this
forest, now I know it is the Emerald Forest for a time. Well, the naked
dancing sprites are really nice, and I'm sure I'll visit them often, but I
think it's time I actually set out to see what I am made of. And so I went
and learned how to minstrel, if that is even a verb. It is time I seek out a
mate or maybe two. Sprites are much lovers. I hear that women will flock to
you if you are a brazen adventurer. We'll see how that goes.
