Description

The lithe figure before you moves easily about, comfortable in his stance yet an edge of readiness about him. His pale skin rivals that of aged bone but is marred by patches of black blight and scars. He is clothed in simple skin of beasts and a few pieces of light chainmail, nothing of hindrance to slow h movements. His eyes are a light green, observant and unflinching, as if compelled by an inner courage that cannot be extinguished. His features are narrow, lips thin, and his pointed ears acknowledge his elven heritage. He keeps his light brown hair clasped in a small band of mithril which hangs long down his back. A pair of slender blades are quick at his ready, the hint of metal flashing in the light.

Role

Tribal Origins, Pox, and Misery.

Role, simple version:

Jarafu hails from an obscure tribe of wood-elves near the border of
Mal'trakis and Loch Terradian.  A blight came through the jungle, killing the
foliage first and later the native creatures.  It soon spread to the people,
a pox of blood and black flesh.

Not long after, an envoy from Galadon came offering aid.  The tribal leaders
did not trust the envoy.  How did they know of the blight?

Yet needing relief, the tribe made a deal with the envoy.  They gave up their
rights to the land and the pox soon abated.  The medicines even restored
those afflicted though scars remained.

Some years down the road, the tribe found itself pushed out of the home it
had known for generations.  The boy, now a young man, saw through the guise. 
The tribal leaders were afraid to stand up to the deception and dominance. 
Jarafu alone remained in the jungle, courageously fighting back the company
of Galadon, seeking its dark wizard.

He later sought the Village of Battleragers, those who also knew firsthand
the misery and tyranny of magic.  The impurity of mortals wielding this
creative force needed to be dealt with yet also proved worthwhile in honing
the skills of the wood-elf to later find and destroy the leader of the
Galadonian envoy.

The Jaguar.

The scars of the blight marring his arms, Jarafu found himself proudly
bearing the black marks upon his body.  He adopted the name of the fierce
hunting cat of the jungle, the jaguar, or jag-juwar in the tribal tongue.

Living to its name, he soon won the contest put forth by Oxias and the
lord Jormyr in slaying the most mages before the others.

He continues his search for the company, to find the name and place of
its operation in Galadon and abroad, that he may have his revenge and
courageously lead his people in returning home.
