Description
Before you stands a lithe dark-elf, who appears to stand roughly six feet
tall. His skin is not like that of most dark-elves it has turned a deep
black giving it a burnt appearance, possibly from spending quite a bit of
time under the open sky. The white shoulder length hair is neatly braided
and hangs down over the hood of his robe. Fiery red eyes pierce you and
betray the infravision his kind are known to hold. Odd to are his robes.
They appear to be made from the hide of some northern beast and not the
spider-silk usually worn. On his left forearm you can see a deep burn giving
the appearance that he has tried to remove some sort of brand.

The Thar'Gharin House was third among all houses and after the recent
vanishing of the entire second house it appeared they would claim its
position. Matron Ragorna, head of the first house, had requested House
Thar'Gharin's aid in a siege upon the surface town of the northern
mountains. This event would aid them in gaining the favor of the dark-elf
lord, Vhalourak. Zylako, patron of House Thar'Gharin agreed to send a fifth
of the house to aid in the battle and claim the victory in Thar'Gharin's
name. Jespoeh, the head mage of House Thar'Gharin and one of Vhalourak's
favored would lead the armies of House Thar'Gharin.
Jespoeh was arrogant, and confident that the battle for the northern mountain
town would be quick and nearly uncontested. What he did not know was that
recently an army of paladins had taken refuge in the town to escape the wrath
of the Udgaardian armies. As the unsuspecting dark-elves took to the surface
for what they thought would be an easy raid they were quickly slaughtered by
the holy warriors. Jespoeh was the only one to escape the ensuing onslaught.
The Archmage was disgraced by the fact that he had lost his entire army.
What had been meant to ensure House Thar'Gharin's place among the elite
houses, would likely lead to its ultimate demise. Jespoeh could not return
home for fear of torture and eventual execution for his failure. Nor had
Vhalourak taken kindly to his failure. He stripped Jespoeh of his mighty
magical abilities, leaving him with knowledge of only the most mundane
spells.
Soon Jespoeh's crafty mind would begin to formulate a plan. With the meager
magical abilities he had left. He would focus on the school of
shapeshifters, using their minor magics to once again awaken the mana
coursing through his veins. He would seek out this surface lord, Twist,
after regaining some of his magical prowess. Perhaps with enough effort he
would aid him with unlocking his true magical might once more. Then he would
make them all pay, the paladins, his house and most of all Vhalourak.
Vengeance would be his and he would lay claim to all the surface lands. They
would pay for making him leave his home. They would pay for causing his Lord
to reject him. They would pay for forcing him to follow this surface lord
over the rightful lords of the underworld.
Vhalourak's Humor

Vhalourak's sense of humor is not appreciated by Jespoeh. Vhalourak was able
to twist Jespoeh's shapeshifting magic. Turning one of the vilest, most
hated, and feared creatures in Thera into a SQUIRREL!Through strength of
will and perseverance Jespoeh has been able to focus his magic. His latest
achievements are more appropriate for those to the dark-elf.
Deceit is such a wonderful quality to use. Several times now I've had to
travel with Outlanders or those whom want to join them. They are unknowingly
aiding me in gaining the power I'll use to one day destroy them. Who in this
world will pull me in? Tribunal? Scion? Either of these is a possibility
for me.Only time will tell which of these will be the appropriate place for
me. Both will require more research before I decide to join. I am nearing
the time though to approach Twist.
