Description

Tall and slender, this feminine drowess holds herself in a stance of majesty. Near pitch-black skin is just tinged with a navy blue sheen. A light cape of black and red silk cover slender limbs. A red lacquer runs down thin fingers and covers long fingernails. Black cloth is wrapped around her delicate feet and wraps up to around her knees. Yellow eyes reflect what little light they take in. On her cheek branded is a luminescent black widow spider. Long pointed ears are lined from tip to base with golden hoops. A sneer is highlighted by a line of pointed teeth. A book hangs from a gold chain at her wrist , that has three interlocking rings seared into the cover. Tresses of silver hair frame her face while the rest cascades off her shoulders.

Role

the Beginning

Added Fri Jan 23 18:37:47 2004 at level 1:
In every society, no matter how structured, there are individuals who don't fit
established patterns. From her earliest childhood, Jyslin Lin'Baenre was an
oddity for the drow city, Menzoberranzan. Her mother, a younger daughter
of a minor drow house, possessed little talent for the clergy, but her
exceptional beauty caught the eye of a Archmage named Xullrae Lin'Baenre,
one of the few males in their Society who wielded enough power to choose
his own mistress. Jyslin was born from this union, and her mother was
assassinated on right in front of Jyslin around the time she was five.
She didn't speak another word after that until she came onto her fifteenth year.
Everyone thought it had traumatized her, but she had other ideas.
It fascinated her watching her mothers guts strewn about the street and
watching the pool of blood expand from her body. From then on she wanted
to experience that again, so on her thirteenth year she took it upon herself
to revel in the agony of it all. She put on her most revealing gown of sheer
black silk and made herself up to look as seductive as possible. She went
out and found a man who was eyeing her brought him to an abandon building
and tortured him. She cut off his ears and dug out his eyes, drove nails
through each of his fingertips along with many other unimaginable things. She
strewn on the street.

She continued this pattern of killing men by seducing them for the next two
years. After which she came to her father and asked him if she might join
the clergy. He was releaved to see her coming out of what he thought was
her depression. And so the next week she joined the temple and began
studying the darker arts of healing. She realized if she could heal the ones
she tortured she could keep them alive longer and be able to push beyond
the meager limits of men. She thrived to hear screams echo off the walls
as she made slices in them with hot knives so it would cauterize and they
wouldn't bleed to death before she was done. She learned much about how
to perform her art as she called it from the healers in the temple.

She had started serving the temple late in life compared to most
but she was one of the better pupils and advanced quickly in their ranks.
She sought to learn all of the rare things her teachers had to offer
Finally it came to her place in her studies where she devoted her life to
a Lord, a Patron who would aid and empower her with his presence.
The Lords they offered were all satisfactory of course but she knew none
of them were what she sought after. One day news came of a new Lord
one so vile that they would not speak his name, she knew that she was
his...had been his since her youth and had never known it.
So she left the city one night and ventured to the surface to seek him out
and to prove that she was worthy of him.

The Ill Omen

Added Mon Mar 29 15:16:57 2004 at level 51:
After some time Jyslin Lin'Baenre grew through the
ranks of her guild, eventually becoming a Priestess
of the Dark Church. Gathering and breaking souls
along the way and granting the Lost Souls
to the Dark Baron as the preached the word of the
Ill Omen to the Lands. The souls of Sastine and
Ghroth were ever so weak since both of their children
had been lost or stolen, and were easy prey as
Jyslin ripped at their hopes and dreams speaking
the Truth that they could not bear.

As well she claimed her place within the Fold
calling forth the Ccul'gra seeking a way to
break open the Gates. For now she tries to claim
her place as Chancellor as well as other dark secrets.
She seeks to take back the Torch of Shadows from
the Lyceum as she believes it from the Shadow Realm
as well and by right the Chasm should hold it and
it's power.
