Description
Short brown stubble is the only thing that covers the reflective, pale scalp
of the human before you. Nearly six feet tall and thin as a rail, he looks
akin to the walking dead. Though his eyes are full of darkness, as he glares
back at you, a sinister look on his face. Aside from his eyes, his face is
rather handsome, cleanly shaven, well defined, high cheek bones and a strong
chin. He carries himself with a sort of uncertainty; though he does seem to
be certain about the blade he carries, his tight grip ensuring that it never
slips. His skin is a pale white, as though he doesn't see much sun and his
clothing is as neat as can be, no tears, rips or holes; immaculately
maintained.
Role
My Life: The Empire
Added Sun Jul 12 14:08:36 2009 at level 47:
Ten years have come and gone since the then young Keaghiji first took the
Oath, dedicating his life to the Empire. Now in his prime, he has gained
power, prestige, and reputation within the Empire, with a strength and
tenacity like no other. His mood has darkened and matured, and he is more
focused, his goals more clear. No longer does he thrive simply on naked
violence...
In the years prior to the Oath, he was a misguided creant, a brawler and
martial artist. He had a good head on his shoulder, but lacked the drive and
clarity of vision to see where he could take himself. The Empire has done
this to him, has given him a focus that was void in his life before. Applying
his skills in new and constructive ways, Keaghiji serves the Empire as an
outlet and direction for his ambition, a purpose. While he may not be the
best there is, knowing this will only help him to overcome these obstacles,
constantly striving for perfection.
Secretly, he feels superior to the other citizens of the Shadow Sect. Perhaps
not in combat, but in loyalty and committment. Though he respects their
positions of power within the Empire, Keaghiji has come to believe they
simply use their positions and power to further their own means. They are
corrupt, working to fill their own lusts, giving Empire only what they
themselves don't need; giving to the Empire only enough to satisfy their
superiors and nothing more. Even the Empress seems jaded, drunk on her own
unholy power that has sustained her being. Though Keaghiji has not lost hope
for the Empress and her non-existant council, he feels that in order for the
Empire to grow stronger and regain its course, something needs to give.
Perhaps with Keaghiji as Shadow Lord, he will cure the Empire of its sickness
through fear and a firm hand. The citizens must fear retribution for their
dwindling loyalty; order, discipline, and dedication must be maintained.
From Background To Now

From the moment little Keaghiji could walk, he was fascinated with sharp
objects. He was entranced from the first time he got a hold of a pointed
stick and used it to stab a sack of grain out back. Even then, it felt like
he could be caught any punished at any moment. He didnt care much though as
he got a natural high from watching the sack deflate, its lifeblood flowing
out onto the grass.
Occasionally his father would stumble home from the Inn, too liquored up for
his own good, and would beat Keaghiji for seemingly no reason. His mother
wouldnt believe him, or she didnt care. So with no other way of relieving
his frustrations, he turned to other things to release the rage within him,
such as little animals and furniture; anything that he could get away with
really. But one day, his father came home particularly smashed and started
looking around for young Keaghiji to beat senseless. Keaghiji knew what was
coming and picked up a small knife from the kitchen before going to see his
father. It didnt take more than one punch from the old drunkard before
something snapped in Keaghijis brain. As quickly as he snapped, his hand
reached up and the knife was in the side of his fathers head. With two
simple kicks, his father was brought to the ground and the handle of the
knife was broken off, lodging the blade in his skull. Without even a note to
his mother, Keaghiji up and disappeared and it wasnt even a week later
before he found himself in Seantryn Modan.
Shortly after arriving in the city, Keaghiji began earning a wage as a
regular patrolman, but life was still hard. The boredom he felt while on
constant patrol would wear at him, weathering his personality and eventually
driving him to drinking and brawling at night to beat out his frustrations in
the back alleys and seedy taverns of the southern city. Keaghiji honed his
art, striking with deadly precision and intent, even while in the mix of a
drunken scuffle.
Pretty soon, he had left enough bruises, bandages, and bodies that inquiries
began to arise, and he began to feel uneasy, even on the job. In the mix of
this mounting pressure, Keaghiji, as before, vanished without a trace,
eventually ending up before an Imperial Recruiter in the desert city of
Hamsah MuTazz. The recruiter offered glory and power to whomever should
answer the summons, and Keaghiji was quick to latch on. It was within the
Empire that Keaghiji learned the error of his blind rage, and has vowed since
to protect himself more. He know utilizes his ability to blend in and skulk,
avoiding danger directly but still using his cunning and deftness to kill the
unwary.
