Description
A confident, practiced stance keeps this minotaur rigid and upright,
standing as if he is the prize bull at a village fair. Clad in ceremonial
uniform with a dapper cap, a wide blue sash hangs over his left shoulder,
crossing over his exposed chest. Tailored to expose the golden fur that
poofs out from his chest and neck like a mane, his uniform fits him well,
clearly fitted specially for his body. While many minotaurs have a gruff and
savage visage, this one appears practically docile. Placid, gentle pools of
liquid brown gaze at the world from beneath a long, shaped fringe of hair,
trimmed to avoid covering his eyes, which aid in keeping hair out of them
with long, feminine lashes. His pink, wet nose dominates his facial
features, meticulously kept clean of offensive discharge. Kentosh's cap
rests between gold-capped horns, their steer-like ends terminating at a
point much wider than his shoulders. His rounded ears sag with the natural
weight of their fluffy velvet fur. Less muscular than most minotaur, his
arms are nevertheless twice as large as those of a man's, indicating that
despite appearances, to induce rage in this prize creature may be a final
act.
Role
Dressed Up scum's still scum, isn't it?

Kentosh is, more than most minotaur, an experiment. A noble family of Seantryn
Modan decided they would, after being impressed by the strength and bestial
cunning of minotaurs, see whether one could metaphorically 'cast the pearls
before swine' and adopted him. Drilling into him the importance of being
Refined and Worthy, his foster parents - to the horror of those around them -
treated him just like their own son. Immaculately groomed, fur poofy and
fluffed by the bellows of a forge, he sacrificed the strength of most minotaur
for something they never dreamed was important - privilege. A noble bull used
to subservience to his parents and the other nobility of the city, it was an
easy decision for him when a rival household brought his low via the use of
poisoned tea to punish them for their crime. Being the only survivor due to
his...robust constitution as a minotaur, he ended up the lone survivor of both
households, having entered their manor and 'gone wild' in the way only a bull
can.
Placidly sitting in the wreckage, he told the Seantryn guard about what had
occured, and furnished them with sufficient proof that they told him to leave
instead of arresting him - although perhaps the fear in their eyes at the
gore-stained maul at his side was what permitted him to leave a free minotaur.
Deciding, perhaps wisely, that becoming an adventurer would be a better use of
his strength, he found himself unable to keep up with the regimens of the
warrior's guild and 'flunked out' into that of the shaman. It suited him
better, in his mind, anyway, especially when he came across a new evangelist
of Rillan who had heard of Kentosh's unique nature.
He has a great distaste for other minotaurs who he finds savage and appear to
use civilization as a shield instead of using their strength to build it up as
a noble should. The nobles know what's best for everyone. His parents knew
what was best for him. But they are gone now, and 'civilization' is now
presented as the Empire's call. Perhaps Rillan is just another father figure
to this bull? He wishes to prove that his parents did not waste their time and
that Kentosh is a valuable, noble and upstanding member of society...
and of exterminating those that would threaten it.
Not Welcome

While travelling to make more gold for the Imperial taxations, Kentosh was
given a note by a servant.
KENTOSH, I AM ONE OF RILLAN'S SERVANTS. NEED TO WARN, MINOTAUR NOT WELCOME IN
INNER CIRCLE. I GROOMED AND CLEAN AND ALL BUT HE STILL CALL ME UGLY.
Reading it over and over, the minotaur's heart fell, but it was a familiar
feeling.
'That okay. Outer circle good enough for me. Never was good enough for
Father, either.', he commented to himself as he continued on his way.
Having previously been jealous of the deformed drow's favor that they reported
they had from Rillan, now Kentosh understands his place is to be on the
outskirts, serving his betters. He resolves not to trouble Lord Rillan with
purposeless prayers but to continue smiting the enemies of Civilization using
the meagre powers he has already been granted by his guild.
